3RD PERSON POV

A month ago . . .

"Okay, I'm gonna do it," Ocean says to Robert. She had just gotten off of work with Robert and the two of them were walking to Robert's car. 

They always carpooled to and from work. Ocean was the one who suggested it because she knew that she could get closer to Robert. Robert didn't mind it because he wanted to get close to Ocean as well

Every other Friday, Ocean would end up staying over at Robert's house. She would either steal Robert's clothes as sleeping clothes or she would have a change of clothes in the backpack she took to work. While staying there she slowly stopped sleeping on the couch to sleeping in Robert's room on the floor. Ocean had also gotten close to Jon since they both cooked together in the morning (since Robert would just set off the smoke alarm). Today was the day she goes over to Robert's house to visit

"Really?" Robert asks

Ocean nodded. She had talked to Robert and Mariah about donating to the Starkid Kickstarter. The only question was that how much she was gonna donate. "Yup! And I think I'm gonna donate to the 5 thousand dollar tier," 

"WHAT!?" Robert exclaimed. "5 thousand!? We don't have that much in a month!" 

"Yeah but I do have a lot of money in my savings, I just got a job to make more money to buy a house one day. Though I'm pretty sure my parents would be more than happy to buy one for me,"  Ocean says, mumbling the last sentence

"You should probably save it up for something else but if you really want to," Robert says, driving the car. He knew he really couldn't stop Ocean is her mind is already set on it. 

"I know but I really wanna donate!" Ocean says. "Plus, if I donate 5 thousand, I could walk down the red carpet with you and Mariah!"

"Alright, you convinced me," Robert says with a small laugh. "I'm pretty sure people will go batshit crazy if they think you're my red carpet date,"

10:00 am

Ocean slept over at Jon and Robert's house the night before so they could all head over together. Ocean woke up and sat up. She didn't remember where she fell asleep but when she registered the soft feel of bedsheets and strong arms around her waist she knew where she was. She peeked over her shoulder and saw Robert, still sleeping. She sat there in shock as she tried to remember why she fell asleep there since she usually slept on the floor

Then she remembered

FLASHBACK

Ocean and Robert sat on Robert's bed. They were binge-watching all of John Mulaney's shows on Netflix

Robert had his arm around Ocean and Ocean was against his chest. A classic cuddling position. A blanket was thrown over their legs, warming them up

As they watched more of Mulaney's shows, Ocean got more tired. After watching the 3rd show, Ocean was already fast asleep. Robert noticed this and turned off his laptop. He set the laptop in his bedside table and slid down from his sting position to laying down

Ocean now laid her head on his chest, softly snoring

Robert looked up at the ceiling. He smiled to himself but felt guilty. He wanted Ocean but he didn't want Mariah to feel jealous or sad. She was one of his best friends. At the same time, he wasn't too sure about a poly relationship. But he wanted Ocean to be happy and if she was happier with Mariah who was he to stop her. There were so many thought running through his head but they all didn't matter when he realized that at that moment, he had Ocean in his arms

FLASHBACK OVER

Ocean slowly removed Robert's arm from her waist and turned on her other side, facing Robert. "Hey Rob, wake up," She says in a soft voice

Robert groaned as he woke up

"Good morning sleeping beauty," Ocean says. "I'm gonna go freshen myself up and then go help Jon make breakfast," She left Robert's side and went into the bathroom that is connected to Robert's room. She brushed her teeth and did her other business. She decided to shower after breakfast

After exiting the bathroom, Robert when inside and got himself ready. He brushed his teeth and hair. Then he decided to shower since he wasn't going to help make breakfast

Ocean walked into the kitchen to see Jon making some coffee. "Good morning Jon"

"Morning," Jon said. He poured two cups, one for Ocean and one for himself. "So, what are we making for breakfast today?" He set down a bunch of papers that had recipes for various breakfast foods

Ocean looked through the stack of papers. She closed her eyes and just picked one out of the pile randomly. She opened her eyes and looked at the paper. "French toast," Ocean says and slide the paper over to Jon

"Alright let's get cooking," Jon says

TIME SKIP

12:00 pm

"That was so good," Robert says. He took everyone's plates and started to wash them. "You guys should go get ready, we need to leave in like what 3 hours," 

"Alright, don't come into your room until I'm changed alright?" Ocean got up from her seat. "I don't want you seeing what you shouldn't," 

"Yes ma'am," Robert says

Jon says, "Yeah I don't want any funny business between you two going on my house," 

"Yes, sir" Ocean says. She walks over to Robert's room. She goes to her closet and pulls out her dress. It had vertical blue and white stripes to match Robert's shirt

She also grabbed the towel she brought, some soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All from her apartment. She walked into the bathroom and took a shower

After taking a shower, Ocean changed into a pair of shorts and a shirt she stole from Robert a few weeks ago to do her hair in, she would change into her dress later on. She also wore a bra for obvious reasons

Robert knocked on the door to his room, something that seemed weird to do, and said, "Hey O, can I come in? I need to get changed,"

Ocean finished dressing and said, "Yup, you can come in," she bent down to dry her hair with the towel. While doing that, she thought about how she would do her hair and makeup

Robert walked into the room. He grabbed his blue and white horizontal striped shirt and jeans. He looked over at Ocean and said, "Hey, you wanna do my hair?" He walked over to her

Ocean looked up at him. "Your hair looks good but, if you really want me to I guess," She set down her towel near her stuff and grabbed her curler, brush, and other tools to help style her hair, as well as Robert's

"I'll get changed and then you can do my hair," Robert says. He walked into the bathroom and got changed as quickly as possible. He opened the door after 2 minutes and said, "Alright come in you can do my hair in front of the mirror,"

Ocean went inside and plugged in what she needed to so the can heat up. She also got a stool because of the 10-inch height difference between them. She looked at Robert's hair and started thinking. She grabbed her brush and just started to brush his curls and floof. "So what do you usually do with your hair?" She asks

"I usually brush it out and put some gel in it if I'm not wearing a hat that day," Robert says. He tried to keep still so Ocean wouldn't mess up

"Alright, I'll try and replicate your usual hair, but better," Ocean says. She grabbed his gel, comb, and got to work. She tried to keep his curls and floof intact while also trying to make it look neat. It took around 30 minutes to do this. But in the end, she was happy with how it looked and thought it was really cute

Robert examined his look in the mirror before turning to Ocean. "Awww thanks for this Ocean," He hugged her, and without even thinking, he kissed her cheek. He realized what he has done. "I'm sorry Ocean," He quickly said

"It's okay, now let me do my hair," Ocean says. She kissed his cheek. "I won't take long,"

She picked up her straightener and started to do her hair. She decided that she would curl her hair but more towards the bottom. For makeup, all she did was the basic face stuff and some pink lip gloss to finish it off. She lastly put on her dress to complete her look. She walked out of the bathroom after unplugging all of her hair styling tools. 

Robert was on his bed scrolling through Instagram. When he heard Ocean's footsteps he looked up. "Wowie, what a beautiful looking woman," he says. He got up and walked towards her

"Why thank you, you're a very handsome man if I do say so myself," Ocean says. She smiled at the compliment. "We should get our shoes on now probably," she put her hand on Robert's cheek before sliding it off as she walked out of the room

Robert followed her, completely smitten. He loved the small non-sexual touches they would give to each other. It was like small bits of affection for just him. Even if it was just something that normal friends would do, he went crazy over. He loved the way she would hold onto him when she was tired, how she'd link pinkies with him, how they's give each other Eskimo kisses, and on the rare occasion they would actually kiss, that shit drove him crazy! 

Jon joined the 2 of them and they all put on their shoes before heading out the door to Jon's car
