3RD PERSON POV

Ocean quickly ran to the elevator in her apartment building. She dug into her bag and grabbed her keys. She got into the elevator and pressed her floor button and waited. She tapped her foot impatiently and nervously. She couldn't believe that she was going to ask out Mariah. The thought of it put a smile on her face. But the thought of Robert made her frown. When she thought about dating either Mariah or Robert, it seemed to make more sense if she dated Mariah

She's known Mariah longer and she knew her longer. Also, their age gap is smaller. Also, they did that thing the other night. But then again, she and Robert did more romantic things together. At the same time, they had a 5 year age gap and they only have known each other for around 2 months

Ocean got to her apartment. She opened it and placed her backpack in the kitchen, pet her kitty CHat Noir, before going back into the hallway. She knocked on Mariah's door

Mariah opened up. She saw Ocean and backed up a bit. "Hey, Ocean. You need something?" She was a little taken back since Ocean ran off on her in the morning and now she's at her door

Ocean opened her mouth to say something but quickly shut it. Instead of speaking she put her hands on Mariah's cheeks and kissed her right on the lips. She figured that would be better than speaking

Mariah was shocked. But it didn't take long for her to kiss back. She wrapped her arms around Ocean's waist. She picked her off the floor slightly and spun her around. She pulled away. "Wow, what changed from this morning?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Ocean asks. She smiled wide and hoped for the best

"Yes!" Mariah said. She hugged her tight. "But seriously, what happened from this morning?"

"Well, I went to work with Robert today. The reason I didn't ask you out early is because of Robert. But, we talked. He said no matter who I chose to date, he would still be my friend. And, I chose you," Ocean says. She looked up at Mariah

Mariah just smiled and leaned her forehead on Ocean's forehead. "After all this time. Fucking finally," She laughed towards the end. "Well, my apartment is always open. So, let's watch some movies, make some food, do what girlfriends might do," 

"That would be amazing," Ocean said. "I'm going to get some things from my apartment, then we can spend the night together," She kissed Mariah's cheek and went to her apartment. She got a backpack and put sleeping clothes, skincare things, a towel, day time clothes, and other basic things for a sleepover. It didn't really matter what she took cause if she needed something else, she could just get it really quick from her apartment

"Alright, I'll go set up my apartment, or something like that," Mariah said. She watched Ocean go to her apartment. She smiled and closed her door. She got out blankets and looked in the fridge and cabinets for any ingredients. She started to panic when she realized she forgot to go grocery shopping. She was already nervous as is so, this didn't help her at all

Ocean knocked on the door. Once Mariah opened the door, she stepped into her apartment. "So, what should we do first?" She asks. She set down her things on the couch

"If we're gonna cook, we need to get groceries. So, let's do that first," Mariah said. She tried to keep her panic inside. She put on a jacket and got her wallet. "And maybe we could go live on Instagram and announce. Us?"

"Sounds good," Ocean said. She zipped up her jacket and kissed her cheek. "What should we make? I could make anything with a recipe," 

"How about, I drive and you find something to make and we'll get the ingredients," Mariah said. She wrapped an arm around Ocean's waist and led her out the door. She made sure to lock the door behind her. They made their way to the elevator, got in, and went to the parking garage

They got into the car and Ocean went on her phone, searching for recipes. "Are you craving anything specific?" She asks. She wanted to get a general idea of what to look for

"Carbs," Mariah said. She started to drive. "Pasta? Maybe?" She suggests. She was fine with anything as long as she was able to make it with Ocean. "Can you go on my phone? Let's go live right now,"

Ocean grabbed Mariah's phone and opened Instagram. She set it on a phone holder that connected to the fan. She went live. "Alright, we are live!" Ocean said. She went back to her phone 

"Hi, guys! Ocean and I are heading to the store. We got something to share with you all but we're gonna wait until more people are here," Mariah said. She smiled and focused on driving. "Babe, can you read the comments?" She asked Ocean

"Yeah," Ocean set her phone down. She tilted the phone towards her slightly. "How are you guys?" She read aloud. "I'm pretty good. I quit my job so that was fun," She responded

"I did nothing all day," Mariah said. "I was bored but Ocean came over and now my day is amazing," She looked over and Ocean and smiled

"Aww," Ocean said. "I love you too but please focus on the road," She laughed. She looked back at the comments. "Yoooo, Robert is watching. What's up, Robert!" She smiled

Robert ended up joining the live. He waved hi at the two girls. "Hey, guys," The chat went wild 

Ocean looked at Mariah and smiled. "So, Mariah and I have an announcement!" She said. She looked back at Mariah and they both laughed. Their cheeks both turning red

"Yup, we're expecting!" Mariah joked. "I got Ocean pregnant!" She glanced at Ocean and they both started laughing

"I left you two alone for an hour and one of you got pregnant. God damnit," Robert laughed. He acted disappointed

"Okay actually though. Mariah and I are dating!" Ocean said. She quickly kissed Mariah's cheek

"Aye, you did it Ocean! Congrats!" Robert said

Some people in the chat went wild

"wtf ocean jumped from Robert to Mariah? slut"

"Congrats!"

Robert read the chat. "Hey don't you fucking call Ocean a slut!" He said. He became angry. "Ocean and I were never a thing okay? We were just really good friends. Just because I was really good friends with her, doesn't mean we were a thing. I knew about how she felt about Mariah and she knew how I felt about her. We both talked to each other and everything okay. But if you dare call Ocean a slut. You can just unfollow me right now,"

Ocean and Mariah were silent for a bit. "Robert is right. Leave Ocean alone. Seriously, if you wanna be mean fuck off," Mariah said

"We should end this live," Ocean whispered

Mariah parked in the parking lot of the market. "We're ending the live now. See you guys next time," She said. She ended her live

Ocean looked down at her lap. "Shit. . ." She whispered. Tears pricked her eyes. "Shit. Shit. Shit!"

Mariah got out of the car and opened the passenger's door. She kneeled down, looking up at her. "Hey, baby. Cheer up, don't let their words get to you. As long as we're happy, together, they don't matter," She said

Ocean got out of the car. She took Mariah in a tight embrace. "You're right," She said. "I love you," She said. "Come on, let's go get ingredients for dinner,"

The two of them walk hand in hand into the market. They spent the rest of the night together. Cuddling, eating, watching movies, and maybe making out just a little
