3RD PERSON POV

8:00 am

Ocean woke up and looked at her phone. She saw the time. She set down her phone and laid back down. She was going to drive herself to work to fill in for someone. That started at around 10 but was told that she should come in earlier to help out which worked out because she only had tickets for day 1 of Starkid Homecoming. She looked up at Robert's bed and saw he was still asleep. So, to not wake him, she tipped toed to the bathroom and did her business

Robert though wasn't asleep. He was actually under his sheets browsing through Instagram. And even if he was sleeping, the sound of Ocean opening the creaky bathroom door would've waked him. He wondered if he should pretend to sleep or go see what Ocean was up to. He decided on the latter. He took off the blanket he was under and walked to the bathroom. It was still open so he knew that Ocean wasn't doing anything he shouldn't see anything he shouldn't

Robert went beside her and got his toothbrush and toothpaste. "Morning cutie," He said. You could see he was still tired. His lids were half-open and his voice was groggy. "How was the floor? There was a nice open spot for you on the bed for you," Robert started to brush his teeth and put a hand on top of Ocean's head

Ocean was brushing her teeth. She took the toothbrush from her mouth and through a mouth of foam she said, "Rob can you move? I need to spit," She put her toothbrush back in her mouth and as Robert moved away from her, she bent over the sink and spit before washing her mouth. Once she was done, she grabbed her towel and wiped her mouth

Robert kept on brushing his teeth. He watched as Ocean brushed her hair and put it in a small ponytail. It made him feel butterflies on the inside, it was like she was an angel that he was blessed to have

Ocean looked at herself in the mirror. She could feel Robert's eyes on her. She didn't mind but it made her feel all warm and soft on the inside. They weren't dating but she knew that he loved her. "Sorry I can't go see day two of homecoming, I gotta cover for someone at work,"

Robert scooted Ocean over a bit to spit and wash his mouth. Once done he wrapped an arm around Ocean. "You don't need to apologize. It's fine, you already donated 5 thousand dollars and that's more than enough," He said. "Hey, you want some coffee? I can go make some while you go get ready for work,"

"That would be great. You're the best," Ocean said. She smiled at him and gave him a big hug before going to get her work uniform

Robert left his room and went to the kitchen. He can't cook but he can make some good coffee. While the coffee was brewing, he took out some creamer and sugar and waited for Ocean

Ocean grabbed her work uniform, a light blue polo with the Universal Studios logo on it, a gray jacket with the same logo on it that she may or may not have stolen from Robert, and some light brown khakis. She also put on her nametag before she left Robert's room

Robert sat at the kitchen counter. He was sipping a cup of coffee and texting people. He put a travel cup of coffee that had lots of cream and sugar in it in front of the seat Ocean would sit on. It was still hot. He put it in a travel cup because he knew that Ocean needed to leave soon

Ocean sat down next to Robert. "Thank you, you know exactly how I like my coffee," She says. She took a sip and basked in the caffeine and sugar. She looked at Robert. "Oh yeah, our supervisor was talking shit about you. I tried to tell her, I'm not the person to tell this to but she kept on interrupting. I got so fed up with it I left,"

"I fucking hate her," Robert says. "I want to get a different job, but no one listens. Well, no one except you," He smiled at her. "Anyway, I'm thinking of quitting but I still need money," 

"Hey if you quit, I quit too. I'd rather work at Disneyland being honest," Ocean said before sipping her coffee again. She looked at the time and groaned. "I need to go now," She stood up from her seat. "Can you grab my things, I'm just gonna leave my stuff in my car while I work," 

"Got it," Robert says. He rushed to his room and grabbed everything that Ocean brought to his house. He noticed that his closet was open. He peeped in and immediately noticed that his work jacket was missing. He laughed and walked out of his room

Ocean was near the door, putting on her shoes and tying her laces. She stood up and said, "Thank you," She opened the door and the two of them headed out the door and to Ocean's car. She opened up her trunk and put her backpack in it

Robert placed her bags and dress in the trunk too. He looked at Ocean. "So, my gray jacket went missing. Care to tell me where it went?" He asks

"I have no idea where it went," Ocean says. She rolled up her sleeves and looked at her non-existent watch. "Oh would you look at the time, I need to get going!" She says

"Alright, just give it back later," Robert said. He ruffled her hair. "Now get going, or face the wrath of our Ms. Maxson The Supervisor!" 

"I'm going. I'm going!" Ocean said. "Thank you for letting me stay over, I'll, maybe, see you tonight," She gave him a big hug, taking in his scent that she gotten so used to and at this point, smelled a little like

"No problem," Robert says. He hugged her back and slightly picked her off the ground when he did. "Okay go now before you're late and you actually get in trouble," He pulled from the hug and stepped on the sidewalk

"Alright, see ya!" Ocean waved and got in the car. She took another sip of her coffee before she drove off

TIME SKIP 

11:00 pm

Ocean got into her apartment. Her shift ended at 9 pm but her supervisor said she had to stay after to help clean (she was working in the gift shops). Add that with the traffic and that is a recipe for coming home late. She laid down on the couch, not bothering to change. She rubbed her temples in hope to soothe the headache she got from kids and parents screaming at her all day. She debated if she should fall asleep, get some Tylenol for her headache with some water, or eat something since she hadn't eaten since 7. But then she remembered, she was supposed to hang out with Robert and Mariah later

She picked up her phone and looked at her notifications. There were no texts from anyone, only Instagram notifications. She decided to just scroll through Insta. She liked posts she was tagged in, replied to some DMs before she set down her phone again because that sure wasn't helping her headache

She wondered if they had forgotten about her. Or if they were too tired to hang out with her. She was fine if any of those were the case. She understood. She could catch up on the sleep anyway. She did have to be at work tomorrow. Thankfully, not at 10 am. Just then her phone buzzed 

Ocean picked up her phone, not bothering to check the called ID, she said, Hello?" She sat up from her crouch and wiped her eyes

"Hey, Ocean! It's Mariah. Sorry I'm calling you on Robert's phone he just said to call you and tossed me his phone," Mariah said. She tried moving to a quieter location. She just finished the last Starkid Homecoming performance and there was still music playing

"Oh hey, Mariah. How was the show?" Ocean asks. She smiled at Mariah's voice. To her, it was like honey. Soothing. Though it was not enough to get rid of her headache it did tone it down a bit

"It was great everyone was awesome!" Mariah said. "Lauren and Joey are having a party in like 30 minutes to just drink, eat, and talk. You wanna go? It's not gonna be a lot of people but definitely no one you don't personally know," 

"I need to change and I don't really want to drive but sure. I'll be there, just send me the address," Ocean says. She stood up from the couch and walked to her room

Mariah smiled to herself. "Great, I'll see you then. Bye!" She hung up and sent the address right after

Ocean set her phone down and opened her closet. She picked out a light blue belled sleeved shirt and some black jeans. She put them on and fixed her hair. She also put butterfly clips in her hair because why not. After that, Ocean got her small purse and put some of her stuff in her bag

After getting ready she grabbed her apartment keys. She made sure to order a Lyft beforehand. She got to the entrance of her apartment building and saw the Lyft. She got in and waited to get to Lauren's place

Once there, she got out and knocked on the door. She was greeted by a big hug from Lauren. "Hey, Ocean!" She got really close to Lauren, Joey, both Brians, Meredith, Jaime, Dylan, Walker, the Langs, Corey D., and Jeff through talking and small get-togethers

"Hey to you too Lauren," Ocean says. She hugged back for a few seconds

"I'm so glad you came, Robert and Mariah are over by the drinks. Go eat and have fun!" Lauren says and steps aside to let Ocean walk-in

Ocean walked in and waved to everyone. Some greeted her with a hug, a pat on the back, others with a small"hi" or "hey". She walked over to Robert and Mariah

Mariah hugged her. "You showed up!" She says

"Yeah, it beats sitting by myself in my apartment," Ocean says. She pulled away from the hug and looked at Robert. She smiled at him. "Hey Robert," She looked at her toes and looked back up at Robert

"Hey Ocean," Robert said. He opened his arms for Ocean to hug him. He smiled at her

Ocean hugged Robert. "Our supervisor didn't have you to pick on today so, she picked on me. What an asshole right?"

"I'm done with that bitch but I can't quit. Maybe I can switch supervisors," Robert says. He squeezed her a bit before pulling away from the hug. "Are you gonn quit?"

"Abso- fucking- lutely," Ocean says with a laugh. She got a bottle of beer from the table they were near. She opened it and took a sip of it. "So, what's going on in your personal life?" Ocean asked

"Well, as you know, I'm going to be playing Regina George in the Mean Girls Tour. Emphasis on tour. . ." Mariah says. She held a red solo cup in her hand with some spiked punch in it. "That means, I'm gonna be gone for a long while," 

"Noooo, don't leave me!" Ocean says. "I'm gonna miss you," She hugs her and doesn't let go. It sounded like it was the alcohol talking but it was really her clingy self.

"Don't worry. I'll be back.  It's not like I'm going away forever. Plus I'll be performing in Los Angeles in May, I'll be sure to see if I can get you guys front row seats," Mariah says. She placed down her cup and hugged her

"But I want you here. I love you, Mariah!" Ocean says. She held her close and tight

"Hey I love you too," Mariah says. She looked at Robert with a smug grin

Robert just rolled his eyes and went to some food. He felt a ping of jealousy but at the same time he didn't really care since he was closer to Ocean in a more romantic way

Mariah and Ocean grabbed their drinks and moved to the couch. Ocean had her head laying on her shoulder. "I'm glad you got the opportunity to play Regina George and I know you'll do great but. . ." Ocean started. "I'm gonna miss you,"

"I'm gonna miss you too. And Robert. The three of us. Plus Jon. We're like the dream team," Mariah says. "We'll see each other soon. Plus I don't leave until like September. So, until then, it's rehearsals and. . ."

"What happened?" 

"Shit! I forgot. The practice times for Mean Girls and Black Friday conflict. I can't do both. I need to pick one. . ."

Ocean sat up. She set down her drink on the kitchen table. "Hey, I think your answer to choose between Mean Girls and Black Friday is obvious. Just tell Nick and Matt, they'll understand and they might find a replacement!" Ocean says. She placed a hand on Mariah's hand

Mariah sighed. "You're right. I'll tell them. Just give me some time," she said

"By the way, I love your jacket! It's so cool!" Ocean said, admiring the look and feel of it

"Thanks, I'll be right back," Mariah said. She set her drink down and went over to Lauren and Joey. "Hey let's do the thing!" She whispered to them

Robert and Jon looked at Mariah who gave them a thumbs up. Robert and Jon sat down next to Ocean. "Hey O," Robert said

"Hey Little Sis," Jon said. He nudged her a little

"Hey you two," Ocean says. She leans onto Robert and takes a sip of her drink. "Nice jackets,"

"Thank you. You don't look half bad yourself," Robert said. He smiled and put an arm around her

"Gross,"  Ocean said. She sat up and smiled playfully

"Hey, guys! We got something to say!" Lauren says. She stood in front of the TV with Joey

Mariah had gone off to get something

"Hey, Ocean. So, a lot of us talked about this beforehand so don't worry. I know it isn't traditional but you've become so close to us. From getting us lunch during practice to helping backstage. You've really become part of this family," Joey says

"So, we're happy to say," Lauren started. Mariah had come out of nowhere, holding a jacket very similar to everyone else's. "You're a Starkid baby!"

Ocean stood up and gasped

Mariah came over and put the jacket on Ocean

Ocean hugged everyone and thanked them too. "I love you guys!" she says. She put on the jacket. It was a perfect fit

"Alright people!" Lauren said in Taz's voice. "Let's party!"

Everyone cheered and had fun for the rest of the night

TIME SKIP 

2:00 am

Ocean and Mariah stumbled on the sidewalk. They were both buzzed and overall a bit tipsy. Ocean though, she didn't really act really drunk. She was stable and only acted really drunk when Mariah started to feel tipsy. They would laugh together and stumble around together but Ocean made sure Mariah didn't fall. Jon offered to give them a ride home but they denied in favor of taking a Lyft. But, Robert and Jon were watching from afar to make sure they got to their ride safely

Once their ride pulled up they got in. Mariah basically melted into Ocean's arms. She felt awake and aware but she loved being in Ocean's arms. The entire car ride Ocean and Marah talked and went through pictures they took at the party. Most of them were group photos and selfies. "I'll post these tomorrow," Ocean says, putting her phone away

"Yeah me too!" Mariah says. She cuddled into Ocean's arms a bit more. "Wowie, you're really warm," She commented. Mariah turned her head a bit and looked at the window. "Are we there yet?" she asked like a little kid

"Yup," Ocean says. She saw their apartment building coming up. She pulled out her wallet to take a five-dollar bill out as a tip

The driver parked and accept the tip

Ocean and Mariah got out of the car and headed inside. Ocean decided to put Mariah to bed first. It felt like she was returning the favor since usually, Mariah did this to her when she was tired. It felt like a nice change of pace

Mariah took her keys out and unlocked her apartment. It was basically like Ocean's just with slightly different furniture layout. Ocean walked Mariah to Mariah's room. It was cute and smelled a lot like Mariah. Mariah played on the bed and sighed

Ocean looked at her. "I'm gonna go, just shower in the morning. Change and brush your teeth missy," She said like a total mom

"Wait no don't go!" Mariah said. She stood up just as Ocean was close to the door of her room. "Stay for a little bit," She closed the door. After she did, she was in a position where she was basically pinning Ocean to the wall

Ocean stood there, her cheeks red in embarrassment. "But, you need rest. . ." the words left Ocean's mouth as a whisper. She was about to say more but a pair of lips stopped her from continuing

Mariah, without thinking, kissed Ocean

Ocean froze, just like she did the first time. Her mind started to blur, her limbs felt numb. And soon enough she was kissing back

Mariah put her hands up Ocean's shirt and unclipped her bra without breaking the kiss. She slowly brought her shirt up which caused them to break. They looked at each other, Ocean's shirt was tossed to the side and her bra was sliding off. Mariah pinned Ocean to the wall. She stroked her hair. "Darling you're so pretty it hurts," 

Ocean heard those words and immediately kissed Mariah again. For a moment she thought about Robert. She wondered if he would find out about it. And if he did, if he would lose interest in her. Her heart was confused. She loves Robert but she's doing this with Mariah

Mariah picked Ocean up and set her on the bed. "Just relax, I'll take care of you," Mariah says. The rest of the night was rough and they fell asleep in each other's arms
