Part 1
This is a short story of Samaina. I hope you all like and will give the same response like my first story. So let's start the first part.
Part - 1
Kahte hai zindagi bahut khubsurat hai, ... par kya...har kisi ke liye aisa hota hai...??
Iska har lamha muskura kar jeena chahiye, har pal ka baahein phaila kar swagat karna chahiye...Par kya... kismat har kisi ko aisa mauka deti hai...??
A girl was sitting alone on the top of the hill and crying bitterly. She was complaining to God. Her condition was so bad that anyone would have guessed that she was very distressed.
"Kyon kiya aapne Kanha ji, kyo meri sari ummeedein, sari khushiyan, sare sapne chheen liye...pahle papa mujhse kitna pyaar karte the, meri har khushi ka khayal rakhate the, mere bina mange meri har wish puri kar dete the aur ab hamesha gussa, jaise mera unke liye koi vajood hi nahi... kyon kiya?... apne... kyun cheen liye sab achche din?." She screamed loudly and her painful voice echoed all surrounding.
"Main kitni khush thi jab meri job lagi thi... zindagi ek tarah se mukkamal si lagne thi, bhaiya ki job ko do saal ho chuke the, hum dono bhai bahen ko apni manjil mil chuki thi... phir na jane kahan se ek aandhi aayi aur mere ghar ki har khushiyan tabah karke chali gayi, kabhi vapas nahi aane ke liye...Meri koi badi khawaish nahi thi.. bas apne family me sab ki khushiya hi to mangi thi... lekin aapne wo bhi nahi diya aur ab situation aisi bana diye hai ki papa ke liye unka beta hi sab kuch hai... maine to kabhi aise zindagi ke sapne nahi dekhe the, phir kyon di aapne aisi zindagi... kyon?... bhaiya aapne mummy papa ke sapno ke saath mere bhi sapne aur khushiyan ka khun kar diya, ab sapne dekhane se bhi dar lagta hai kahi ye bhi tut na jaye, kyo kiya aapne ye sab?... ab mai uss ghar me bas ek paisa kamane wali hi rah gayi hun.
Koi nahi hai mera apna... kisi ko mujhse pyaar nahi hai... office me bhi sab mujhe rude aur arrogant samjhate hai... tabhi to aaj Swati ne bhi mujhe bina baat ke kitna suna diya aur mujhse bhi nahi raha gaya aur apni best friend Swati par bhadak gayi... mai kya karu mujhse ab yeh sab sahan nahi hota... par mai hamesha se aise nahi thi, pahle sab ki ladli, sabki chaheti, sabki har baat manne wali thi..lekin halaton ke aage mai badal gayi... jo kabhi tej aawaj me baat nahi karti thi aaj rudely baat karna seekh gayi...jo kabhi kisi baat ke liye na nahi kahti thi aaj na bolna seekh gayi... jo kabhi kisi ka dil dukhana nahi janti thi, aaj gussa karna seekh gayi...mujhe aisa nahi banna mujhe mere purane din vapas chahiye... mujhe meri purani identity vapas chahiye...jisme sab ke liye sirf pyar tha... nafrat ya gussa nahi." She poured out all her sorrow that filled in her heart to God. Her throat was dry, her eyes blurring from tears, her voice became heavy and breath fastened.
She drew a deep breath. "Mera dam ghutne laga hai inn sab se... Yahan se kahi dur bhag jana chahati hun, jahan koi gam ya mushkil na ho... Par kya main mere apno ko inn halaton me chhod kar ja sakti hun... nahi... main itni selfish nahi ho sakti... aur jaise papa kahte the I am a strong girl... mai itni jaldi haar nahi maan sakti... abhi meri family ko meri zarurat hai... aur phir kab tak Kanha ji bhi naraaz rahenge."
And a sad smile bloomed on her face looking at the sunset and prayed to God. "I hope aap sab theek karenge."
Just then she heard some rustling sound behind her. She turned back to see if someone's present this deserted place but there was no one here. She turned her face again to the setting sun.
While a few feet away a boy hid behind a tree and was listening her every words. His heart pricked to hear her misery. He had somewhere felt her pain through her rueful words. He peeked through the tree to the forlorn girl. As he could not see her face when she turned back because he was busy hiding himself. And now his eyes were fixed on the girl.. For him there was something in her that was impossible to ignore her.
After some time having gathered courage, he was about to go to console her but stopped to see a girl coming towards her.
A girl rushed up to her and hugged her tightly.
"Naina i am sorry yaar... wo work load ke frustration ki vajah se sara gussa tujh par nikal diya... please mujhe maf karde." The girl apologized to hold both her ears and made a pout face.
"Swati tu yahan kaise aayi...maine to nahi bataya tha." Naina asked in surprise.
"Mujhe pata tha tu yahi milegi aaj maine tera dil dukhaya tha na...tujhe bachpan se janti hun dukhi hone par kaha milegi...chal ab ghar aunty rah dekh rahi hogi." Swati said pulling her. On reached the road down the hill, they both left Swati's scooty.
The boy kept following them from his bike maintaining some distance so that anyone would suspect him. When he saw them stopping, he also stopped his bike near a shop on the other side of the road. But he was disappointed to see the place, it was a society, there had many houses, then how would he find her home. And an another moment a smile lingered across his face, recalling that at least he knew her name and place. He whispered softly in his deep masculine voice. "Nainaaa."
Naina entered her house and listened her brother arrogant voice. "kahan se aa rahi hai Naina... market gaya tha to socha tujhe leta aau par tera phone off tha aur office se pata chala tu pahle hi nikal gayi thi... vaise gayi kahan thi."
"Har baat batana zaruri nahi hai...." Naina replied in a curt voice and stormed to her room.
"Mummy dekha... iski akad." Arjun was her brother who complained to his mother.
"Beta thak gayi hai... aur tu bhi to aate hi uss se sawal karne laga." His mother Rama Agarwal tried to convincing him.
"Haan...jaise hamne to kabhi job kiya hi nahi." And he slammed on the door of his room.
Naina was lying down on the bed and sobbed, her mother consoled her with stroking her hair. She convinced her that everything will well.
But Naina had almost left her hope and whimpered. "kuch thik nahi hoga mumma kuch bhi nahi hoga, aap na aise jhuthi dilasa mat diya karo... mumma kyon hua hamare saath yeh sab, kyon kanha ji hame itna dukh de rahe hai?... kya hamari zindagi me kabhi khushiyan nahi aayegi?"
"Naina... aisa nahi kahte beta...dekhana sab thik ho jayega... bas tab tak hame apna hausala banaye rakhana hai... tu to meri strong Naina hai." Rama tried to soothe her pain which had filled in her heart.
"Kab mumma... kab hoga..." She asked while weeping and after sometime she fell into asleep.
Rama looked at her daughter face and muttered. "Jo bhi hua hai, usne sabse jyada meri Naina ko affect kiya hai...meri bachchi ke chehare ki raunak aur aankho ki chamak gayab ho gai hai, meri bachchi hasna bhul gayi hai... please kanha ji meri bachchi ki wo pahli wali hasi aur chamak lauta dijiye..." And a few tears drops escaped from her eyes seeing her daughter suffer too much. As she knew her daughter was a strong girl but sometime she left the hope.
Kabhi kabhi hum har taraf se haar jaate hai aur lagta hai jaise ab zindagi me kuch nahi bacha ... kyo hamari ummeedein tut jati hai...??
A week passed Naina was again normal in her daily routine. She had a daily routine, firstly she was checking her father health and giving him medicine. Then she left for her office, when she returned in evening, sometimes she listened taunt from her brother and father's on her small mistakes.
One such evening she returned the house with some shopping bags. She showed some dresses and few sarees for her mother with excitement, at the same time Arjun came in the home and his facial expressions changed to see her dresses.
He lashed out her. "Naina...yeh shopping kiya hai tune...ye kaise colour ke dresses liye hai, bilkul gawaron wale aur ye pahan ke jayegi tu office...kya zarurat thi aise dresses lene ki jo bilkul achhe nahi hai aur itne mahange bhi... aisa jinka koi standard pata nahi chal raha."
Naina listened him silently, opened her purse and fished out a paper.
"Yeh lijiye bill isme shop ka naam hai... sarees aur dresses vapas kar aaiye aur na ho to apne pasand ke le aaiye." She said in a firm voice and fled to her room.
"Kya zarurat thi uska mood kharab karne ki... aur kya kharabi hai inn dresses me.... kitne mann se layi thi... usko apne pasand ki har cheez karne ka adhikar hai samajha...bechari ka dil dukha diya...maine usse kaha tha aur ye kya paisa laga rakha hai...jab khud kama rahi hai to apne paise apne upar kharch kar sakti hai bina kisi ke permission ke." Rama scolded him for his rude behaviour.
"Ab aap bhi suna lo... nikamma jo hun... to sab mujhe hi to sunayenge." Arjun complained.
"Suna nahi rahi hun...tu phir se koshish kyo nahi karta koi job mil hi jayegi...pure do saal ho gaye hai, ab apne bhavishya ke baare me soch Arjun, kab tak apne papa aur Naina ke paiso pe jita rahega, tere papa 3 mahine baad retired ho jayenge...phir kya? aur Naina ki bhi shaadi ho jayegi." Rama advised him and showed him of his future.
Rama sat beside Naina on her bed, Naina kept her head on her mother lap and complained.
"kyo mammy bhaiya ko mera kuch bhi pasand nahi aata, kya main apne dresses bhi select nahi kar sakti ... mujhe itni bhi aajadi nahi hai aaj bhaiya hai, kal koi aur aa jaayega sawal karne, kya mera koi vajood nahi hai, kya meri koi ichchhayen nahi hai...mummy pahle to aisa nahi tha." Naina questioned her mother.
"Beta Arjun bura nahi hai woh bhi halaton ke aage mazboor hai...dekhana sab thik ho jayega." Rama gave her solace and calmed her mind.
"Lekin kab?... woh bhul kyo nahi jate sab." Her heart ached to remembered current situation of her and her family where everyone was suffering.
Apno se mila dard hame andar se tod deta hai aur unke shabd teer ki tarah chubhate hai... hum jante hai wo galat nahi hai phir bhi kuch pal ke liye hum ye baat sweekar nahi kar paate... kyo??.
After two days, one of her father friends brought a relationship for Naina but Rakesh refused saying this "pahle Arjun ki shaadi karni hai uske baad Naina ki sochenge.
His friend said with concern. "Rakesh ek baar phir soch lo iss se achha ladka nahi milega, ek lauta ladka hai...apne pita ke saath business sambhalta hai. Mere vichar se aap logon ko ek baar iss rishtey ke baare me sochna chahiye." He gave a advice looking at Rama.
"Nahi pahle Arjun..." But Rama cut her husband in mid sentence.
"Bhaisahab thik hai hum soch kar aapko batate hai." Rama replied.
Rakesh glared her furiously and he burst out when his friend left the house.
"Kya zarurat thi yeh kahne ki, achha khasa main mana kar raha tha na." Rakesh fumed.
"Aap kyon Naina ki shaadi nahi karana chahate?... Naina ab 27 ki ho gai hai, uski saheli Swati ki bhi shaadi ho gai... socha hai aapne use kaisa lagta hoga...jab har baar aap rishtey mana kar dete hai." Rama wanted to know the reason for his refusal.
"Kyonki mujhe Arjun ke bhavishya ki chinta hai...Naina ke liye hazaron rishtey aa jayenge, job karti hai, life me settle hai...lekin mera Arjun aisa nahi hai, mai use aise bikharate huye nahi dekh sakta, Naina se jyada use ek saathi ki zarurat hai jo use phir se aage badna seekha sake... mujhe mere bete ki zindagi vapas chahiye kisi bhi keemat par." Rakesh said in a harsh voice looking at his wife angrily.
"Phir chahe wo keemat mere beti ki khushiyan aur uske sapne hi kyo na ho... hai na.. aap kaise pita hai jise sirf apne ek bachche hi chinta hai... mai aaj tak chup rahi par aaj nahi...aaj meri beti ke bhavishya ka sawal hai...jaise aap ko Arjun ki chinta hai vaise hi mujhe bhi Naina ki hai." Rama said in a firm voice looking her husband with same gaze that she had received.
"Tum samajh kyo nahi rahi ho Rama...ghar ko Naina ki zarurat hai." Rakesh shouted.
Naina came out of her room after hearing argument of her parents. she was shocked to know the reason behind their quarrel.
"To thik hai jab tak aap Naina ki shaadi ke liye maan nahi jaate main khana nahi khaungi, bhale hi meri jaan hi kyo na chali jaaye... suna aapne." Rama spoke adamantly.
"Yeh kya bakwas kar rahi ho... karo tumhe jo karna hai, par mera phaisala nahi badlega." Rakesh gave them unaffected look and still sitting on the chair like did not matter anything for him.
"Please mummy aisa mat karo agar papa ki khushi isi me hai to mujhe nahi karni shaadi." Naina pleaded to her mother to see his father's anger.
Naina tried to stop her mother taking this step, but Rama scolded her for stop that she will doing which she will be best for her.
"Tu chup kar tu kaun hoti hai yeh phaisala lene wali... main baat kar rahi hun na." Rama stopped her scolding her daughter.
Apno ki berukhi jeene ka housala cheen leti hai...phir na koi sapne bachate hai na hi koi khwaish... sab bemani si lagne lagte hai... bas kuch yaad rahta hai to apno se mila dard aur zindagi sirf ek samjhota lagne lagti hai... kyo???
After sometime Arjun came to the house and asked his mother what happened to feel the tense environment. She narrated the whole matter while glaring Rakesh.
"Please tum dono meri beti ki zindagi baksh do...use apni zindagi jeene do." Rama folded her hands in front of Rakesh and Arjun.
And grabbed Naina wrist, pulled her towards her room and closed door behind them.
Arjun heart filled with so much guilt as how his one drastic step ruined his sister's life as well as his family and his father health. He looked at the door of his sister's room. He thought. "ab meri zimmedari banti hai ki main meri bahen ki khushiyon ko use vapas dun, usne iss ghar ke liye bahut kuch kiya hai... uska haq hai ki wo bhi apne life me aage bade."
He somehow convinced his father to agree Naina marriage as he much loved her sister but what happened to him that changed his behaviour yet did not change his love for her sister.
Kyo kabhi kabhi rishton me duriyan aa jati hai ki hum ek dusre ke dil ki baat samajh nahi paate....??
