Recently...

"Welcome the Gleeful Twins and their plus 1, (y/n)!" shouted one of the butlers who worked at the mansion. And we began to ascend the stairs...the party was about to begin.

(Y/N)'s POV:

After we ascended the grand staircase in the main room, many people began to crowd the two siblings. They both still had their arms linked through mine which meant I had to stay there and listen to the boring conversations.

Dipper noticed that I was becoming bored and whispered in my ear," Would you like to go get a drink over there?" He said with a tilt of his head towards the tables nearby. They were filled with trays of finger foods, and glasses filled with many different types of drinks.

I quietly nodded, before he escorted me away from the crowd of people. Mabel stayed there, still chatting.

Dipper's arm was still looped through mine as we walked towards the tables. He picks up two drinks filled with a bubbling drink and hands me one in a glass cup.

With a confused look on my face, I take a look at it," Don't worry it's not alcohol, it's just sparkling cider," Dipper says with a smirk, "Unless you want it to be," he finished with a chuckle.

Before taking a sip I reply," I see what you're trying to do. Don't even think about it," I say as my lips curved into a smirk and I take a sip of the drink.

It turned out to be sparkling cider, and it tasted good in my mouth. We both take a few sips of the drink until it was finished.

"You really think I'm that kind of person? I'm offended." Dipper replied before placing his cup on the table.

"Well... I don't know, I'm still getting to know you," I tease with a smirk on my lips.

"Well hopefully that'll change quickly," Dipper replied before wrapping an arm around my waist as we began to walk away from the table. I could feel my face heat up as his arm is wrapped around my waist.

I roll my eyes in reply as we began to walk together through the crowded ballroom. Many eyes were on us, some jealous of me. Mabel has seemed to be done talking near the edge of the stairs, but she had someone next to her with white hair.

His arm was wrapped around her waist as they finished their conversation with other people. Mabel's eyes made her way to us, and a smile crept on her lips. They excused themselves before walking over to meet us in the middle of the ballroom floor.

Mabel's smile grew bigger as they got closer," I want to introduce you two to my date, his name is Gideon." She said before looking over at him.

He smiled back before reaching out his arm toward us," hi, I'm Gideon pines. It's a pleasure to meet you two!" Gideon said with an enthusiastic tone.

I shook his hand before I replied," It's nice to meet you as well. I'm (y/n) (l/n), and this is-" I said before I was cut off by Dipper.

"I'm Dipper Gleeful, her boyfriend. And I'm also Mabel's twin brother." He replied before shaking Gideon's hand.

I quickly glare at Dipper and he smirked in response. Mabel giggles before she replied," Well I'm glad we've made acquainted with each other but the next dance starts in just a minute, you two should join us," she says with a smile.

Before I could say anything, Dipper replies," We'll join you." He said before looking at me.

Mabel's face lights up," Alright! I'll see you two on the dance floor! Come on cutie, let's go!" She said before she and Gideon walk away.

Turning towards Dipper, I say," Would you stop doing that?" I ask.

A look of innocence is on his face," Doing what? I haven't been doing anything," He replied before a smirk made its way on his lips.

"You know what you've been doing, and when did we officially become boyfriend and girlfriend?" I asked as we walked out into the dance floor.

He snickers before replying," Well since you agreed to be my date, I thought this party would be the perfect time to introduce you as my girlfriend." Dipper said with a smile.

My eyes widen in response," I-uh..excuse me?" I reply.

With a smile still on his lips, Dipper looks over at me," Plus I wanted to show Gideon who's boss and that he can't touch you," he finished with a snicker.

"Dipper-" I warned before getting cut off again.

He rolls his eyes at me," Oh, it'll be fine. I promise. Now, the music is going to start soon and we better get ready." Dipper reassured me and before we know it, the music began to play.

"But Dipper, I don't know how to dance," I replied in an anxious tone.

"Just follow my lead," Dipper reassured me.

Before I could reply, he stepped in front of me and held out his hand with a small bow," May I have this dance, (Y/n)?" Dipper said with a smile on his lips.

Taking his hand, I reply," Of course," and he pulled me into his grasp. His other hand laid on my back as we began to dance. I could feel my anxiousness suddenly go away as he held me in his grasp.

Mabel and Gideon were dancing beside us and they both seemed pretty content, you could almost see the hearts in Gideon's eyes.

"It seems Mabel has definitely fallen head over heels for the pines boy," I say with a giggle as I watched them dance over Dipper's shoulder.

Dipper smirked," Just like I've fallen for you," he said as he twirled me around.

I arched an eyebrow as I looked over into his eyes," Oh really?" I asked in a curious tone.

He smiled back in response as he spun me around once more to the tune of the song," Yes really, I have ever since I laid eyes on you," Dipper replied as he pulled me back into his grasp.

After he said that I couldn't tell if I liked it or not since I met him only a few days ago," Well it couldn't have been that quick, I only met you a couple of days ago," I reply.

He smirked in response instead of saying anything. His whole attitude was giving me a weird feeling again as we continued to dance. However, that feeling began to fade away as we continued to dance together until the song ended.

Dipper smiled before kissing my knuckles as we parted from our position," Thank you for dancing with me," he said before looking into my eyes. I felt my cheeks heat up as we locked eyes.

As we walked away from the middle of the ballroom, his arm made its way around my waist. I snaked a glance at him, he was already looking at me with a smirk on his lips. I could feel many eyes on me as we walked through the ballroom.

Mabel and Gideon had already walked away from the center and were waiting for us by the table. You could tell she had fallen for Gideon pretty fast, you could almost see the hearts forming in her eyes too.

She looked at me, then her brother, and then back at me before a smile made its way on her lips," So how was dancing for you two?" Mabel asked.

Before Dipper could reply, I cut him off," It went great!" I said with a smile. That should teach him not to cut me off.

Dipper rolled his eyes," What about you two?" He asked Mabel with a smile on his lips.

A giggle erupted from her before she glanced at Gideon, who was smiling at her," Oh it was absolutely amazing!" Mabel replied as her hand was placed on his chest. You could see his arm draped around her waist.

His eyes sparkled as if Gideon remembered something, " Oh! I was going to introduce you three to my cousin, Pacifica. She is visiting for the school year like I am." He said with a smile as he looked around the ballroom for his cousin.

He quickly walked out of Mabel's grip and a little look of disappointment crossed her face before she covered it up with a smile.

Gideon walked over with another girl next to him, she wore a long purple colored dress that had black accents and had blonde hair. Even though she was Gideon's cousin, you could tell Mabel didn't like her already.

Pacifica smiled," Hi everyone! I'm Pacifica Pines, and you guys already know my cousin." She said before placing her hand out towards Mabel.

Mabel's eyes gaze down at her hand before looking back up at her with a snide expression. Pacifica still held her hand out but a nervous smile appeared on her face.

Quickly walking out of Dipper's grasp, I shake her hand instead of Mabel," Hi, I'm (Y/n) (L/n). I'm friends with the Gleeful twins," I said with a smile. Her nervous expression disappeared as I shook her hand.

Pacifica let go of my hand," It's nice to meet you, (y/n)! Are you new here?" She asked with a smile.

As I stepped back, I could feel Dipper's arms wrap back around my waist again. My stomach flipped a little bit before I replied," I moved here about a week ago so yes I'm new." I said with a smile.

Gideon speaks up," Also Pacifica, this is Dipper Gleeful behind her. He's Mabel's twin brother as well," He said.

Dipper quickly stepped forward before shaking Pacifica's hand in response," Nice to meet ya. Also sorry about my sister, she's not much for meeting new people." He said with a smirk on his lips before gesturing towards his sister.

From behind Pacifica, I saw Mabel roll her eyes in reply to her brother's comment.

Pacifica nervously laughs," It's okay," she reassured us before at me and then Dipper," Are you two dating or something?" She asked as she noticed his arms wrapped around my waist.

I pause before replying except Dipper beats me to it," Yep, just started," he said and I glare at him.

I nervously laugh," Well actually Dipper is still trying to get through his thick skull that we're not together yet because he hasn't asked me yet," I say before giving him another side glance almost challenging him not to say another word.

I could hear Mabel snicker before whispering something to Gideon, something about getting a drink. They quietly left, leaving Pacifica behind.

Pacifica giggles," Well you two seem like quite a couple," She replied.

She looked behind her and noticed that Gideon and Mabel left and she sighed," It seems my cousin and his girlfriend disappeared again so I'm going to go get something to drink," Pacifica explains before walking away towards the food and drink tables.

Dipper quickly turned me around to face him," Looks like it just us now," He said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes before giggling," You think you're sooo smooth, don't ya?" I asked in a rhetorical tone. Dipper chuckles in response to my question.

"Speaking of being smooth, wait right here for just a second," Dipper replied before walking away towards one of his servants who seemed to be the head of all the rest.

A lot of the servants began to pass out glasses of cider and one of them passed me one as well. I noticed that Dipper walked over to the stage in the ballroom before picking up a microphone.

Dipper tapped the microphone to get everyone's attention before he was handed a glass of cider," Excuse me? Everyone, I have an announcement!" He began to proclaim to the public.

My stomach felt like it did a small flip before my cheeks began to heat up, I hope this isn't embarrassing for me. Mabel and Gideon had made their way back over to me, and Pacifica soon followed after.

"I would like to introduce someone that is very important to me, and make a special toast to them," Dipper continued for raising his glass up.

My eyes widened a little bit before Mabel was standing next to me," I hate to tell you this but I have no idea what is going on." She says in an uneasy tone. I rolled my eyes in response as my stomach made another flip. I could feel my heartbeat pounding as I awaited his announcement.

He raised his glass up higher," Everyone, I would like to introduce my girlfriend, (Y--," Dipper began before a huge sound of thunder shook the building.

"GLEEFULS!" yelled a booming voice into the room. My eyes widened even more as I glanced up at Dipper and he dropped his glass before jumping off the stage. He began to run towards me before Mabel grabbed my hand and began to pull me and Gideon towards the hallway. Pacifica followed behind us.

Many of the guests didn't seem too scared as they continued their conversations with each other. All of us met up in the hallway outside the ballroom. Maybe we're the only ones who heard it.

"What was that?!" I asked Dipper, almost yelling at him. Everyone else around me had gone silent so they could hear what he had to say.

He was kind of hesitant at first before replying, "We have an unwelcome visitor here at the Gleeful Manor," Dipper said, looking down at the ground.

Before he could continue, Mabel cut him off," What is trying to say is that we have had an unwelcome ghostly-specter here for decades and it comes this time every year," She said with a sigh.

Gideon's eyes widened when he looked over at her," You can't be serious?" he said in an uneasy tone.

My eyes widened in surprise, of course, something bad had to happen tonight.

Dipper gave an exhausted sigh," I know it sounds crazy and you probably don't believe me," he said before looking in my direction. We quickly made eye contact before his eyes darted away.

Gideon's eyes widened again as if he remembered something," Wait, I might have something that can help us," he replied in a hopeful tone as he rummaged through his suit jacket.

Dipper glared at him as Gideon was rummaging through his jacket," Well? What is it?" He asked hastily.

Gideon quickly pulls out a leather-worn book, that looked very old, from his jacket pocket. The cover had a six-fingered hand that had a number in the middle that I couldn't read from where I was standing.

Pacifica rolls her eyes," You seriously brought that to the fanciest party here in Gravity Falls?" She exclaimed

Gideon began to skim through the pages until he found the pages that seemed to be about ghosts and ghouls," Well, at least it can come in handy this time," He huffed at her before he began reading.

Gideon looked over at Dipper who seemed to have a worried expression instead of an angered one," Do you know what level of specter it is?" He asked Dipper.

"It's a level ten," Dipper replied," What does it say?" he asked Gideon.

Gideon's eyes widened," Well then, we're screwed!" He exclaimed.

Dipper ran a hand through his hand before another boom made its way through the mansion," GLEEFULS!!" the voice yelled again, this time being louder than the last.

Dipper muttered something under his breath before looking over at me, I looked at him again having no idea what to say. Gideon kept reading until he noticed something," Do you have a silver mirror?" He asked.

We all looked at each other before Mabel spoke up," Here." she said before handing Gideon a silver mirror that had been tarnished from over the years. Gideon looked at the mirror before looking back at Mabel, and then the mirror again. It looked like he was trying to register what just happened.

He quickly nods," This will work!" Gideon exclaims before snatching from her hand.

A voice sounded again," Gleefuls! I know you're here somewhere," the voice said closer this time.

I looked over at Gideon then Dipper," What do we need to do!" I asked in a frightened voice.

Gideon replied before Dipper could," We need to find the gho-" he began before he was cut off.

"Well..well...well if it isn't the Gleefuls. I have finally found you and now I can avenge for all that you have brought misfortune upon including myself," the voice said and we all turned towards it.

At the end of the hallway, a man who seemed to be levitating held an ax in his hand, and his skull was cracked in half. You could see the whites of his eyes from where we stood, almost as if he didn't have any. His body was engulfed in blue and white flames as well.

Dipper grasped my shoulders and turned me towards him," RUN!" he yelled before pushing me down the hallway. All of us began to run in the other direction down the hallway...
