Recently...

A small smile made its way upon my lips, what had I gotten myself into?

(Y/n's) POV:

After he dropped me off, I quickly locked the front and ran up the stairs to my room. With my flowers in hand, a small smile was still placed on my lips. Quickly grabbing a vase from one of my boxes, I fill it up with water from my bathroom sink. I placed the vase full of flowers on top of my nightstand next to my bed.

A smile was still on my lips and it made me realize how excited I actually was for tomorrow. However, it was tomorrow and I had no idea what to wear. I might as well head over to Mabel's tomorrow to see if she had anything and I'll get ready there.

Checking the time, I realized it was almost eleven at night. If I wanted to get up tomorrow, I had better get ready for bed. I quickly grab out a pair of black running shorts and a big, (f/c) short sleeve shirt and change into them. After, I walk over to my bathroom down the hall and to finish getting ready for bed such as brushing my hair and teeth.

5 minutes later...

After returning to my room, I turn off the lights before grasping my phone only to realize there was a text from Dipper.

Dipper_Gleeful: goodnight beautiful :)

YourUsername: goodnight :)

My heart skipped a couple of beats when I replied to his text. I plug in my phone into the charging cord before placing it on my nightstand. I could not wait for tomorrow! I hop into my bed and pull the covers over my body.

[Time skip]

My alarm blared in my ear as I slowly woke up, it was around ten in the morning. Deciding to get up, I push my comforter and sheets away from me.

I slowly throw my legs over the side of my bed, and a yawn escapes my mouth. Walking over to my closet, I quickly grab a pair of shredded blue jeans and a black sweatshirt. Quickly, I change out of my pajamas and pull on my jeans, and my hoodie.

I grab a small bag from my closet and begin to fill it with things I might need. Like my makeup bag, brush, and many other things. (Whatever else you might need).

I pull on a pair of black Birkenstock's and snag my phone from my nightstand. Quickly I walk down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. I grab a water bottle from my fridge and my keys off the counter.

"Where are you going now, honey?" My dad asked as he walked into the kitchen. He had his laptop bag strewn over his shoulder and cup of coffee in his hand.

He looked like he was going to work yet his tie seemed crooked. Placing my stuff down, I walk over to him and start to redo it," I have a party tonight with my friends, Mabel wants me to come to her house to get ready." I reply

He chuckled as I fixed his tie," Now who are these new friends of yours?" He asked.

I finish tying it," The Gleeful twins, the ones who came to our house on the first day of school, remember them?" I replied.

"Ahhh the gleeful twins, I've heard a lot about them around town." My dad replied before taking a swig of his coffee.

He checks his watch," It seems I have to go to work, text me if you need anything okay?" My dad replied.

"I will if I need anything," I reply with a smile before giving him a side hug.

He hugs me back, "I'll see you later, sweetie." My dad replied before grabbing his keys and walking into the garage.

"Bye, dad!" I yelled before grabbing my bag, water, and keys I had left on the counter. After he closed the garage, I open the door to the garage to get to the car I had parked earlier.

Before getting in and closing the door, I open the garage. I start the car and my music before I pulled out of the driveway. Now, onto the gleeful residence.

5 minutes later...

Pulling into the Gleeful's driveway, I grab my things and get out of the car. I lock my car and quickly walk up to their front doorstep where Mabel was waiting for me.

"(Y/N)!" she yelled in excitement before engulfing me in a hug. I almost dropped my things as I hugged ger back. As we pull away, she was still grasping my shoulders.

With a big smile, she spoke," Are you ready to look amazing?" Mabel asked before grabbing my free hand and pulling me inside.

A nervous giggle escapes my lips, " I'm a little nervous, that's for sure." I replied as we began to ascend the main stairs.

"There's nothing you should be nervous about, it's just a gala," Mabel replies with a shrug. We make it to her room, and she closes the door behind us.

"Well you're used to attending these sorts of things," I reply as I place my bag down on her bed.

She turns on the light in her closet and bathroom connected to her room," I think you will be perfectly fine since it is your first gala, we need to make this exciting." Mabel replied before walking back into her closet.

A smile makes its way onto my lips before replying," Okay then, let's make this fun. But first, I have no idea what to wear." I said with a shrug.

"I have the perfect thing for you," Mabel said with a smile as she walked out with two dress bags in her arms. She placed them on her bed and unzipped them.

" I have this one," she pointed the bag on the left," That I thought would look good on you." Mabel pulled out the dress, it was black and had a satin texture to it. It was a spaghetti strap type of dress and had a long slit up the left side.

Mabel handed it to me," Geez, this is gorgeous!" I replied as held the hanger in my hand.

"Why thank you, I designed it last year but I never got to wear it," Mabel replied before grabbing the other dress she had," But now I have this one." She said before grabbing a navy blue dress from the bag.

I admired the dress a bit more before Mabel spoke," So I think we should start getting ready, we don't have a lot of time." She said with a smile before we placed the dresses back on the bed.

Quickly she runs over to the door before locking it," Just to make sure my brother doesn't sneak in." Mabel said with a snicker and I giggled in return. And after that, we started getting ready.

Mabel finished curling my hair and quickly started doing hers. "What time does the gala start?" I ask her before standing up after sitting on a stool in her bathroom.

"It starts around six, but usually my brother and I don't go down until 6:15," Mabel replied as she let go of a ringlet.

I nod," Alright, when should we get dressed?" I ask before sitting down on her bed. My hair and makeup were both done, Mabel just needed to finish curling her hair.

Mabel looks at the time on her phone," It is 5:30, so we have about forty-five minutes." She replied before finishing her hair.

I look over at her before she shoves me into the closet with the dress," Just get dressed, and then I'll get dressed out here," Mabel said with a smile before closing the door.

I quickly take another look over the dress before changing into it. After I open the door, "Mabel, can you zip this up for me?" I ask her and she was already dressed. She walked over and zipped up the back of my dress.

"(Y/n), you're gorgeous. I think my brother might fall head over heels for you even more," She said with a smile as she looked at me.

I leaned over and gave Mabel a hug," Aw you're the sweetest Mabel, but look at you!" I said as we pulled out of the hug. Her dress was beautifully made and sparkled in the low light.

Mabel smiled before replying," Thank you, but you know what I think we should do before it starts?" She asked with a smirk on her lips.

I raised my eyebrows," And what is that?" I asked.

Her smirk widened even more," We'll pull some jackets on, then sneak to the kitchen to get some snacks before the party." Mabel replied.

"Let's do it!" I replied with a smirk.

Mabel then shushed me, "We need to be quiet, okay?" she whispered.

"Ok!" I whisper-yelled.

We grabbed some long jackets from her closet and quietly opened the door. Mabel motioned to me that the coast was clear. We quietly walked down the hallway then down the stairs with our hoods up.

Finally, we made it to the big kitchen downstairs and there were many platters full of finger foods. Such as tarts, cookies, cucumber sandwiches, and mozzarella sticks.

Mabel grabbed a plate from the counter and began grabbing some snacks and I began to help her.

We then heard a voice behind us," What are you two doing?" they asked and we both froze.

Mabel slowly turns around then realizes who it was," Brother..what are you doing here?" As she turned around, she handed me the plate of snacks. I slowly turn around too.

Dipper then realized who his sister was with," I see both of you have found the snacks." He pointed out.

I hide the plate of snacks behind my back with a smirk placed on my lips," Pfft we definitely did not," I replied.

"Then explain what is behind your back,(y/n)" Dipper said with a small smirk before he popped a small cookie in his mouth.

"There's nothing behind my back," I exclaimed and I felt Mabel snag them from my hands. Pulling my hands out from my back, I show them, they were empty.

Dippers eyebrows raised in surprise and Mabel spoke from beside me," Well brother, we need to go finish getting ready. We'll see you in a little bit," she said with a smile before grasping my wrist and slowly pulling me to the door.

A small frown could be seen on his face,"Mabel..." he warned.

"Bye sweetie." I said with smile as I waved my other hand. A small smile appeared back on his lips. We quickly ran back up the stairs and finally got back to her room.

Mabel closed the door," See what I mean, he's a sneaky one." She said as she placed the treats on the dresser she had.

Mabel pops a mozzarella stick into her mouth and chews it.

"He definitely is a sneaky one," I reply in agreement. I quickly take off the jacket she gave me and placed it on her bed.

Mabel walks over to her dresser and grasps a small black bag. "Here. A small gift from me to you for the gala." She hands over the bag in my hand.

I quickly open the small velvet bag, and out slides a small necklace with a blue colored jewel. "I hope you like the necklace, it's the same gem that we have." Mabel chimed in before pulling on her headband.

The same blue stone was attached at the top of it. The necklace she gave me had a small silver chain and I clasped it around my neck.

"It's gorgeous, thank you Mabel," I replied with a smile.

She smiled back," No problem, I'm glad you like it. Now, we need to grab our shoes and get downstairs. It starts in like five minutes." Mabel replies before walking into her closet.

She walks out, grasping two pairs of black strapped heels. Mabel handed me a pair before she started pulling hers on.

I quickly pull mine on and take a quick glance in her full body mirror. Liking how I look, I wait for Mabel.

"You ready to go?" I ask her with a smile on my lips.

Mabel smirks,"Oh hell yeah." She replies after fixing her dress a little bit.

"Then let's get a move on." I replied before holding out my arm.

She walks over and loops her arm in mine," Let's do this! And if some thing happens, I'll be right by your side or my brother will be." Mabel replies before waving her arm and opening the door.

We quickly walk out of the door, and make our way down the hallway. When we make it near the staircase, Dipper was there waiting for us.

He had on a black tux with a black tie to match, Dipper looked quite handsome as his hair was perfectly styled.

He wrapped his arm around my other elbow with a smile. Before we walk towards the staircase, Dipper whispered in my ear," You look stunning, I'm sorry I didn't say it earlier. I was blown away." He said before pulling away.

A small smirk was on his lips. I smiled back before muttering a 'thank you' under my breath. My cheeks felt warm as we made eye contact.

All three of us stood at the top of the staircase, elbows linked and smiles ready.

"Welcome the Gleeful twins and their plus 1, (y/n)" shouted one of the butlers who worked at the mansion. And we ascended the stairs...the party was about to begin..
