On my way to the hospital, I was a little dense. I kept on calling Nate or Mom just to inform them that I'm coming but no one is answering so I got a little worried. Maybe something happened to Dad or the doctors might be talking to them. I don't know. A lot is going on in my mind all of a sudden.

But I was not expecting the kind of scene that greeted me upon my arrival.

I hear shouting just as I was standing outside the room. One of them is my mom but the other one sounds very familiar to me.

I hurried to open the door impatiently as my eyes widen in surprise who was shouting at my Mom.

The guts of this woman to come here and shout at my Mom. She has a lot of nerves to do that in front of me and my Mom too. Walking inside, I got their attention once the door opened and both horror in their eyes seeing me.

"Silvia, what are you doing here?" I fight myself to burst out and attack her right here.

And how dare she makes a scene in my father's hospital room?

Silvia couldn't look at me in the eyes but it took a moment before she can face me. "I'm just visiting him. There is no need for you to push me away. He's the one I'm visiting and not you or your mother."

"You are not allowed in here, you filthy woman." Mom bantered, her eyes are filled with rage and disappointment. For what? I don't know. But I'm slowly drawing a clue why they are behaving like this.

Nate stood there and we made a short eye contact but it seems like he doesn't have a clue either why Silvia is here and I'm not liking what this means.

Why on earth is Silvia even doing here? As much I know, she doesn't have any connection with my family. What does she want from me especially she got herself involved with Lucas as well. And that's the only thing I know.

"What's going on here?" My eyebrows touched in confusion and badly wanted an answer from them. I don't want anymore secrets and I need to know why is Silvia is still messing with my life?

"I tell you what's going on here, Silvia is your father's mistress. They have been together for years and I'm sorry that I hid this from you two. I just don't want you to get involved in our problem." Mom explained softly but her eyes never leave Silvia. They are staring eye to eye and none of them are planning to look away.

But I was too shock to hear this revalation. So all this time, the secret is out and I no longer confused on what is going on with my family. How horrible we are treating one another but now I knew that my father is having an affair with the daughter of his best friend.

"You are really a mindless bitch, huh?" I snarled. "After snaking your way to my husband and you are really after my father. What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"I never liked your husband anyway, that's the truth." Silvia muttered, flipping her big curly hair and made her way to pass through us but I gripped her wrist to give her my final words. "Never bother us again, or you will really feel my anger, Silvia. Stay out of our life." I slapped her hand away and she walks out of the room, with her chin held high as if she's really trying to mess with us.

Now it is just the four of us here. Nate is really speechless and doesn't know what to say.

"Mom, why didn't you tell us? That woman is Dad's mistress all this time and we don't even have a clue about it!" Nate snapped.

Mom let out a exasperated sigh and weakly sits down on the sofa. "I don't want you two to hate your father even more. He already gave too much pain for the both of you and I don't want this to be the reason to hate him."

"Too much pain for us? How about you? He gave you too many pain, Mom. I can't believe that Dad can do this to our family. I just can't believe him." Nate rages.

"Darn it, so he's been having this affair with Silvia for how long, Mom?" I asked, leaning on the wall for support. I can't even look at my Dad's face right now. He disgust me.

"7 years."

I mentally cursed. So, those time that I was just newly wed with Lucas, they are already doing their sin together. How magnificent this is.

"I told your father to end his relationship with Silvia before our kids find out about it and he told me he already did." Mom replied, looking down and recalling the painful memories he encountered with Dad. "But two years ago I caught him with her again and he revealed the truth. That he never ended it with Silvia. Your father has a lot of dirt up his sleeves and he can do anything to prevent those people who caught them to tell me. That's why I've been clueless for a long time as well." Her voice starts to crack as she slowly starts to cry.

It hurts to see my Mom like this and it hurts to know it too. We are all been played by my Dad and he thinks he is too mighty that he can do everything because of his power. But he cannot make me love him like my father. I use to still have respect for him but it is slowly disappearing.

Then it suddenly came down to a conclusion as well.

Then why did Silvia tried to take Lucas from me?

Trying to fit the puzzle correctly, I realised something.

Is Dad involved with what happened with Silvia and Lucas? Damn. Is this the thing that Lucas can't brought up to tell me?

"Dad messed up big time." Nate muttered, walking out of the room. He has enough of this and I feel like I can't even handle this anymore.

I need to get our from here.

I walked out as well and my mind is too clouded. With anger, confusion, hate, love...I really wish Lucas told me this sooner and I don't know anymore how badly he knows about this.

I find myself coming to my aparment and I'm literally crying. I don't know what else to do or say to someone right now. Even Lucas, I don't know not telling worked or he should have told me so sooner. I don't know, I just feel so angry. I want to shout and break something.

I buried myself on my bed, and I hate my Dad even more. My family has been broken for such a long time and even at the smallest chance, I am hoping for him to change and we can be happy for once. No more fighting, no more hate and no more blaming someone in choosing the path that they wanted. But that is even hard to imagine now that he doesn't even want this to be fixed.

And on top of that, my Mom chose to stay in that relationship even if it is killing her.

Damn it, damn it. This is so messed up.

I don't know how long I was spacing out when I heard the door click.

Lucas is here.

"Baby?" he opens the bedroom door and I immediately sat up. Noticing my puffy eyes, he knows that I've been crying. "What happened?"

I jump out of the beat, a little harsher than I normally do and stood in front of him. "Silvia happened."

"What?" The frown formed between his brows. "She came?"

"Did you knew?" I asked straight away. I know that he knows what I'm referring to.

Lucas took a very deep breath. "Yes."

"Shit. So everyone knew except for me and Nate, is that it?" I asked, I don't to appear mad at him but I can't help it. I am mad. "Did you got involved in their drama? You were engaged to Silvia before, I'm sure that got something to do with it."

Lucas places his hand on each side of my shoulder and made me look at him in the eyes. "Baby, calm down. I will tell you everything but you need to calm down if you are listening to me."

"Calm down? That horrible woman messed up with my life! She is even one of the reason why we broke up! Fuck, and why the hell did she even got involved in this shit?!" I bursted out.

Lucas held my hand and made me sit on the bed, he was kneeling with one knee but he is just doing this to calm me down because maybe he thinks I can't handle the truth once he pop it out. "Please, Lucas...just tell me."

"I will, okay? I will tell you." Lucas places a hand through my hair and breathe out one more time before saying else. "I find out about the affair when I was still the construction worker before. You feared that Silvia is flirting with me and all, but in fact, she was threatening me that time."

"Threatening? Why the hell would he even do that?"

"I found out her ongoing affair with your father when I caught him in her office. It was a horrific moment and they are both scared that I might tell you. Actually, I was scared that time too, your father find out that we live in the area."

So that's the reason how my father found us. That's why he was able to come and get me again.

"Silvia was a nice boss but she is really a seductress, trying to lure everyone to like her. She thinks of me as a challenge because her schemes won't work on me. I told her immediately that I love my wife and she's the only girl that can seduce me with just a flip of her hair." Lucas's finger traces down to the loose strands. "And that angered her as well. One time, I was walking pass their office, I heard a scream and I thought something happened to her but I was surprised to see her on top of a man. And what surprised me there is that...the man happens to be my father in law."

Oh that bitch.

"They warned me...more like threatened me actually, that they will kill me." He let out a husky chuckle after that. "But I wasn't afraid of them. But your father hates me so it was easy for him to torture me. He told me that he will make our life miserable if I tell a single soul aboht them. I don't want him to include you so I told him to torture me instead. Not you. I can't let him hurt you again, Talia. You've been through enough."

Then what happened?

Flashback

LUCAS'S POV

I just finished lifting over twenty bags of heavy cement, when I saw a vacant chair, I sat down to rest while panting heavily. Logan handed me a towel and which he gladly accepted it to wipe the sweats pouring down my forehead, neck and chest.

Damn, I think I will come home smelling awful to my wife tonight. I let out a laugh as the thought comes into my mind. Talia once pushed me away when I tried to kiss her when I got home and I was really disappointed. I got turned down.

Jeez, I need to come home early. I miss my wife more than anything. And not to mention, we were just together this morning but I'm still rushing to go home to her. There is just something about her that intoxate me, keeping me all wrapped around her little fingers. I don't really care if she starts pouting like a kid whenever I've done something she dislike, she looks so cute.

I really pray that my future child will look like her. I bet that kid will be loved for eternity by me.

As I daydream of the life I wanted with Talia, I will tell Silvia that I'm done with work and I need to go home as soon as possible. For what reason? Just because I miss my wife.

Her office was actually at the end of the hall and I wasnt sure if she is still here because there is just a small light on. I knocked three times but I heard a scream.

I thought it was a scream of pain so I quickly opened the door but what appeared in front of my eyes were more shocking than any horror movies I've seen in my life.

Silvia, my boss on top of my father in law. I wish that I was only hallucinating when I saw Talia's father in the same room but I wasn't. My vision is not lying to me. It was really him and he's having sex with my boss.

I was about to run away from the scene but I was immediately held by large suited men. I was weak compare to their huge arms and tight hold. They all look like as if they are ready to kill me any moment. They made me kneel and gripped my hair to look at the couple in front of me. Mr. Berkeley had his pants on now and Silvia's dress is down as if nothing happening between them inside that office.

Why didn't I noticed him arriving? I was here the whole time!

"I didn't know you had a rat working here." Mr. Berkeley murmured, eyeing me down the same as he did before. Filled with disgust.

Silvia looks a little worried but she placed an arm on his shoulder. "Honey, he is one of my best workers here."

"I don't care what he can do. He took my daughter and made her life miserable." He spits with vemon then something flicks in his, like he came up with an idea. "You live here...so my daughter is near."

"We don't need your help anymore, sir. I can give your daughter a happy life so don't worry. She is happier with me." I spat, trying not to wince in pain from the grip they had on my neck.

"How dare you. What life can you give my daughter? Scrap? Dirt? You are just a rat and my daughter cannot be with you." He gripped my chin and harshly pushed me. "But what you saw...you can't tell a soul about it"

"You are horrible!" I yelled. "How can you do this to your family?!"

"Because I can." He confidently replied. "If you say a single word about this, I will kill you and the people involved around you. Don't try to test me, rat. I can do anything."

A small amount of fear draws in me. I am not worried about myself but I'm worried about the people who helped me and Talia. Especially Logan.

"A garbage like you should be thrown away but I can't do that. My daughter will be anhrty with me." Mr. Berkeley looks to Silvia with worry still in her eyes. "You don't have to worry about this, love. No one will knew."

"I do hope so, John. Don't let my father knew about this as well." Silvia smiled cheekily and pressed his lips on top of the old man.

I want to throw up. How can they do this? To his own daughter? He is much worse than any people I knew. Such rich people like him have dark hearts. And I won't let him reach Talia. Over my dead body, he can't take him away from me.

Days passed and I kept in a secret.

I really fear that they can do something bad to Talia. I don't want her to be involved in this mess. I can handle this and we will live peacefully once this work is done.

One time, Silvia cornered me. She is a really great actress and the people around me thinks she has a thing for me but to be in fact, she is doing this because she needs something from me.

"My father wanted to meet my boyfriend. He caught me talking to someone over the phone and he wants to see the man I love." Silvia crossed his arms, walking closer to me as her hips sway with seduction. "And I told him, that it was you."

I scoffed and laughed. "You are one messed up woman."

"Accept it, all you have to do is pretend to be my guy." She smirks, trailing her long nail through my arm which made me flinch and move a little far from her.

"I'm sorry, but I can't. I have a wife and I don't want to betray her." I told her.

Silvia laughed evilly and shakes her head. "Alright then, you're fired."

My eyes widen. "What? You can't fire me!"

"Yes I can. I'm your boss right?" she smirked and crossed her arms confidently. "You think I don't know? You were searching for a new job outside but you cant find anything."

Realization hits me. "It was your doing. You threatened the whole city not to accept me."

"Oh no, your father in law did." She replied, sitting down calmly at her office chair. "You reject my offer, or I will fire you?"

I grip my hand tight in anger, trying not to kill this woman in front of me. I can't do this anymore. This is insane and all I want is a peaceful and happy life with my wife. That's all I ask but why is fate trying to keep on messing with me?

Why?

"Tik tok...your time is running out. Make a decision, Lucas. Be fired or be my boyfriend?"
Silvia smirked evilly and raised both of her feet on top of her desk, her underwear windowing out from her short skirt. "You can't say no, because you love your wife right?"

Yes, I love her.

And I'm willing to do everything to give her a life that she deserved.

But this is cruel people are messing with our life and my choices are limited only. I need to make a decision right now or I will be jobless. That can't happen.

End of flash back

TALIA'S POV

"Oh my God, you've been through all of that? But I didn't even believed you and chose to leave. God, I'm so horrible." I cried and buried my face in my hands.

Lucas runs his fingers though my hair and leans closer. "I don't care actually. I won't mind experiencing it all over again as long as in the end, you are back to me." he pressed tiny kisses around my forehead.

I lifted my head to look at him and he held me in his arms. "You belong here with me, and you will always be mine alone. And I'm yours. It's always been yours." He whispered.

"I am really surprised that you aren't even angry at me for choosing to believe my Dad." I stated, wiping my tears and sniffed.

Lucas laughed at me. "Baby, I can't get mad at you more than a minute. Besides, I understood you that time, you caught me with Silvia and how can I explain that? We really did something that I regretted. Not the part thing on the bed, okay? I can't even hold her hand properly."

Rolling my eyes, I playfully slap his chest." And you are not holding any other woman's hand again. Promise me that!"

"Oh I can't promise that, baby." He teased which made me pout like a kid.

I frowned at him and continued slapping his chest.

He caught my hand and pressed it gently on top of his beating heart. "Because the other woman what I will be holding hands with is our daughter."

My tongue got tied inside my mouth. I wasn't expecting that but it really made the butterflies go wild inside my stomach. It made me shiver in delight and suddenly became excited at the thought of it.

"I love you, Mrs. Saavedra. You are my woman now and forever. You're mine." He whispered, staring deeply into my eyes.

I blushed and suddenly felt like a teenage girl who can't handle the sweetness without stomping my feet. "And I love you, Lucas."

"Good, because I really want to have my twin baby girls now." He chuckles before diving onto the bed with me.

And the rest of the night...it was history.
