I woke up to the smell of raw meat, someone had placed raw meat in front of me, reaching for it and realizing that I had paws and was no longer chained, I looked up and took in the details through metal bars.I was in a small room with red walls, and a large window with tan curtians, the floor was wood and there was a door that lead to a bathroom I assumed, and another one with a lock that I assumed led out, The bed was small and had a red blanket with tan pillows, it was a very plain room. Suddenly the lock clicked and a female walked in with a dog bowl, dressed in a maid's outfit, she smelled like tiger. She gave me a weak smile and reached through the bars, I growled and she jumped back, looked around then at me "shh, I know it's hard... It will get easier" she said sadly and reached back in placing the bowl down, it was filled with water. I looked back up at the female as she reached for my cheek, turning my face she dabbed a cold rag on my head which stung, it was where Dillian struck me. Somehow I trusted this girl, and felt bad for her. Dillian coughed and the female stood up looking at the ground "sorry, I was cleaning her wound sir" she said almost as if she was scared of him, I looked up and rolled my eyes at him sighing, Dillian waved his hand and the maid rushed out the door. He looked at me and smirked, "I see you've woken up.. But you haven't touched your food" He looked at the meat with a frown "are you afraid im going to poison it?" he chuckled, I looked away from him at the red wall behind my cage, "anyway's I am gonna let you out, so you can get changed" he said pointing at a maid outfit on the bed, I looked at him then at the outfit and growled. "You don't have a choice, get dressed or I kill everyone in your pack, including your precious mate" he snarled, standing up and waiting for him to open the door, I shifted. "Autum, come back in here!" Dillian called, the maid returned looking at the floor "stay in here while she gets dressed don't let her leave." Dillian said standing up and shutting my bedroom door, I looked at Autum "why.. Why can't we escape, there's a window right there" I pointed to it, Autum gave a weak smile, "If you want to die from a seven foot drop be my guest.. Although it would be better then working for him" she said sighing I lay back on the bed, this is how I remained for a while until and idea hit me. Standing up and heading to the bathroom "this is it" I said to my reflection 'I'm coming Sam' I tried to mind link once again, I put on the maid outfit, trying to hide every inch of my bare skin. I opened the bathroom door and sat on the bed patiently, once Dillian came back in the room I acted like I understood all of my "duties as a maid" but actually paid attention to the tour. Later that night as I lay in bed staring up at the ceiling, thinking of Sam. After I heard the night guards go by I opened the door and looked down the long hallway. When no guards flashlights light could be seen I shut the door quietly and shifted sneaking down the hallway, Autum's door was shut but her light could be seen under the crack in the door, I scratched at it until she opened the door with a confused scared look, I trotted in and kicked the door shut with my back paw shifting. "Come on!" I said she looked at me confused "come on where? Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" She fiddled with her hair, I sighed and placed my hands on her shoulders "Come on, we are escaping.. Don't you want to live in a pack! I need you, you know this place pretty well" I looked at her, she had a sad expression like always, then looked at me "I am scared of Dillian. What if he catches us?" she asked, I shrugged "then we know we tried to escape at least. At least we know that we tried for those we care about... Please, I have a mate, a pack, so much to live for" I begged her, Autum's expression quickly changed "you have a mate?! He told me that no one here had mate's... that if they did they had been killed, and he was helping us" she growled I could see that fury now filled her eyes and I had won her over. Autum grabbed my hand and opened her door shutting it quickly, I shifted once again and looked at her, she had shifted as well, into a tiger. We snuck down the hallway, until she took the lead, hallway's were long and perilous, suddenly an alarm rang over head and red flashing lights dimmed, then brightened the hallways repeatedly. I growled to myself, Autum looked in all way's, and growled backing into a corner, I followed her stare to see an insane angry expression portrayed across Dillian's face down the hallway, he shifted and was now running towards us snarling. This was the last thing I could do 'I love you Sam!' I mind linked him, and it seemed to get through. That was all I needed, I snarled and charged head on.
