Sam and I headed back to the house carrying Alex's body, the pack had gathered outside in lines along each side a red carpet lay out in the center of the two lines, Scarlet was at the end with Jake, she was hugging him and softly crying I noticed the whole pack had gotten darker and quieter. I myself was holding back a lot of emotions, Alex was a close friend he was there almost as long as Sam was, and carrying his mangled body was not on my wish list, yet it had become a reality. Walking alongside Sam down the red carpet was the longest minute of my life, the carpet lead all the way back to the entrance to the pack grave yard at the edge of the woods, four large timber wolves stood guard at the edges of the grave yard, they had been sent for from Sam's parents other pack in Colorado. A fresh grave had been dug and a head stone was placed it read "Alex a loving friend, beta, and family member. 'may your souls combined as you travel to the hunting grounds of Fenris' R.I.P" thats when reality really hit hard, "he isnt coming back, he isnt gonna be here sipping coffee when i wake up tomorrow, he isnt gonna be here to tell me everything is okay when i'm having an anxiety attack, he's gone.." i thought to myself as i tears silently slipped down my cheeks, burning like fire, Sam noticed and let the pack lower Alex i feel to my knees and put my hand over my mouth, watching with blurry eyes as he was being lowered never to be seen again. Sam pulled me into him where i just fell and stayed however i landed, there was a speak given by Scarlet, Jake, and Sam before we went inside for the night.

I had a headache and blurry vision but insisted i could walk into the house by myself, Sam remained behind me so he could catch me if i fell, I only Sam carry me when i fell on the stairs and started crying again, he carried me up to his room and lay me on the bed where he sat next to me and played with my hair as i cried, I eventually fell asleep clinging to him. Then next morning i woke up groaning as sun hit my face "what time is it?" i asked rolling over to find Sam laying in bed the same clothes he had on as last night, i smiled and placed my hand on his back begging to fall asleep again. Sam suddenly pulled me close quickly and nuzzled my neck, I opened my eyes to find myself pressed against him "good morning" i said sleepily "morning" he mumbled into my neck. We lay there for a few seconds before i sat up Sam's arms still around my waist "no... just another day" he said into the pillow faking to be angry, "come on... gotta get up" i said messing up his hair, Sam sat up quickly "you're gonna pay for that" he said and pushed me back on the bed, I looked up shocked "for what?" i said blushing "messing with my hair.. and making me get up" he smirked,  just then a knock came at the door, and as quick as i was pinned Sam was at the door, he looked back at me and nodded a few times then closed the door. "So who was it?" i asked, "that was my parents... they want me to become the full alpha.. but that would mean you become luna" Sam said then added "I don't want to rush you into anything though, alpha female is a large responsibility." Sam said I looked at him for a few minutes "I can handle it.. besides then we can permanently share a room" I giggled "lets do it" i added, Sam looked happy as he kissed my cheek.
