The next morning I slipped out of Sam's bedroom, I had spent another night because I couldn't resist his insisting. Climbing down th stairs I rubbed my yes sleepily, "There you are!" I heard a familiar voice call when no looked up I saw my best friend already ready for the day with a cheerful smile. Scarlet rushed up to me and gave me a hug around the neck "geeze alpha Sam kept you up there long" she winked and laughed, my face turned red and she nudged me "how was it" se seemed to take her previous joke seriously "nothing happened" I protested but she refused to believe that "you were in his room... He's your mate... How.was.it" she clearly said the last part slower as if I didn't understand her before, I put my hands on my hips "nothing.happens.between.us" I said just as slow back to her. Scarlet just rolled her eyes and giggled "any who... Since its been a while wanna go for a run?!" she asked, cali my wolf whispered in the back of my mind begging to go for a run, I looked up towards Sam's room debating if would tell him or not. "Yeah let's go!" I smiled and raced her down the stairs, and out the door. Once we were far enough away from the house we both shifted into our wolves at the same time, one look at each other and we were off at top speeds trying to race each other, but we were pretty much in sync, if a human were to watch us it would seem as of we coordinated this, our paws touched the ground at the same time and our bodies flowed evenly. It was actually a pretty sight, once me and scarlet ran out of breath we stopped to sit down, a slow clapping filled the area as I heard someone sigh, I spun around growling when I could sense it was a male, a male who wasn't in our pack. Scarlet also joined her rusty colored fur spiked and her ears lay against her head, when a tall male stepped away from a tree, his hands in his pockets and his eyes trained on me and scarlet. "That was very coordinated.... Does the alpha Fox train his dog well?" the guy smirked and scarlet lurched forward a few steps, I myself held back a low growl "aww come now it was a joke.. Like your pack" the guy liked to add smart remarks that would someday get him killed, scarlet took four large steps until her head was even with his shoulder she stared into his eyes angrily and growled her teeth bared and her ears back with her tail in a alpha manor, she was demanding him to leave. I myself was going to step up to him when he disappeared, scarlet looked around anxiously when I felt cold hands on the scruff of my neck, before I could turn around he had me pinned to the floor with his knee on my neck as I lay on my side, then before scarlet could lunge he held a knife to my throat "come near her and her pelt is my new rug" his joking tone was gone and in its place a serious dark voice remained, scarlet snarled loudly and circled us. "This is what I want.... Tell your petty excuse for an alpha that I am coming back, and I'm taking what he took from me... Tell him dilian will return when the moon is full" and like that he disappeared with a growl.
