I tensed up as Xavier led me upstairs, holding my hand. There were at least a hundred thoughts running through my mind about who the hell is Bruno. That's when it got to me. Xavier thinks of me like he thinks of a little girl. Just because I'm younger! But that makes sense, the nicknames, the hand holding, the smiles and everything...
He took me to a darker part of the house, which was still very pretty, just a little scary. He stopped in front of some doors.
"Are you ready?" Xavier whispered and my heart was racing.
I'm not sure if I want to meet Bruno anymore...
Just then, he opened the door and I was attacked.... by a brown and blue eyed husky!
The young and still quite small husky jumped at me and I immediately fell to the floor. The cutie started licking my face and I started laughing as it tickled my skin.
"Natalie, meet Bruno!" Xavier laughed and I gave him a sassy look. I petted the soft fur of the animal as it enthusiastically licked me and begged to be petted by shoving its head under my hand.
"He is so cute!" I shouted as I hugged his soft fur.
"Bruno, enough." Xavier ordered in a harsh voice and the animal immediately stood up and sat down by its master. I still sat on the floor, watching how beautiful this creature was.
I love dogs.
Xavier told Bruno to 'stay' as he walked towards me. But instead of giving me a hand like a normal person would, he picked me by my armpits and put me on my feet like I weight nothing.
Why does he treat me like I'm 8 years old?
"Shall we go, princess?" He asked in a funny voice as he stuck his hand out again. I rolled my eyes and put my hand in his. He whistled and Bruno started walking after us.

I stared at the price tag of the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen. It would go perfect with my dress tonight...
I jumped as I felt Xavier behind me. He went to get fries and now he's back with lots of fries. Bruno stayed with me as Xavier told him to 'protect' me while he's gone...
"Do you like it?" He asked with a smirk. I tried keeping the hot fry in my mouth.
"Yeah, they're good, just a little hot."
"No, I mean the necklace. It would look beautiful on you, princess. Do you wanna buy it?" With what money? "No, it's alright, I've got a better one anyway." Lies, lies, lies. How can anything be better than this?
"Are you kidding me, princess? Just buy it, I heard there's never enough of jewelry for women." He winked to me and I looked away.
"No, Xavier, I don't really like it. I don't think it's worth $6,000 anyway, let's head back."
"It's a 2 karat diamond necklace, it doesn't even cost that much." He said with a frown. Then it was like something hit him.
"Damon doesn't spoil you enough!" He exclaimed.
"No, Xavier, he does, it's just that-"
"It's just that you don't even have the money to pay for that necklace." Our eyes met.
"But don't worry, princess! I'm your knight in a shining armor!" He said as he entered the shop...

"No Xavier, I can't take it. It's too much. Please, let's just go home..." I almost begged as I looked at the necklace on my neck. It was simple, very simple, yet so shiny and beautiful...
"Okay, let's do it this way. This, is my Christmas present for you. And coz it is a present, therefore you cannot not accept it, princess." He said smiling as we both looked in the mirror at the diamond necklace. You could clearly see my hickeys.
I sighed.
"Xavier, I don't know..." I said turning around to him with a tired face.
"It's a present, princess!" He said a little bit annoyed and I couldn't help but grin.
"A present?" I asked, smiling.
"A present." He answered smiling just as cheekily.

When we finally arrived back, I was exhausted. There were still two hours till the Christmas dinner and I headed towards the room me and Damon were staying in. I quietly entered the room and saw Damon sleeping peacefully in bed. I dropped my coat and shoes and jumped on the bed, and on him. I hugged him and buried my head in his neck, breathing his scent deeply.
After a minute or two he asked,
"What time is it?" In a sexy and sleepy voice.
"It's 6, babe." I said snuggling into him and he pulled the covers on top of me, pulling me into his very warm and comfortable body.
God, I can stay like this forever...
"How was it? Did he do anything stupid? Coz if he did I swear I'll rip his head off." He said through his sleepy voice.
Damn, he even threatens through his sleep!
"No he didn't, it was really nice actually. Portland is very beautiful... did you grow up here?" I asked into his neck.
"Yeah, but as soon as I was 18 I left and accomplished more success on my own than they ever will." He mumbled under his breath and I kissed his neck.
"Why are you so cold towards your family, babe? They seem like good people." I said as I gently kissed his neck and collarbone.
"Yeah, they seem like good people, but they're all full of shit. I told you, don't get fooled by their kindness, they all did things they should feel ashamed of." He said hatefully and I leaned towards his face. I gently brushed my lip against his before gently kissing him.
