"Vnimaniye! V laboratorii proizoshel proryv, povtoryayu, proizoshel massovyy proryv. Eto ne drel'! Ochen' opasnyye eksperimenty bespolezny."
The intercom yelled through the speakers over the sound of the alarm screeching to warn the facility of the escaped prisoners.
In other words, the alarm was alerting the facility of the breakout of the most dangerous experiments in that lab.
Y/N and Hopper.
They froze in their running steps at the intercom and alarm, standing alone in one of the many hallways, trying to escape.
"Shit." Hopper cursed at the words over the intercom, knowing a couple words of Russian to be able to translate it. "We have to keep moving."
But then, another alarm began to ring out a different message.
"Vnimaniye! Na vkhode v portal proizoshla neizvestnaya zapis'. Dolozhi tut zhe."
This time, Y/N managed to translate the message quite well, and the pair grew confused. " 'An unknown entry?' What?" She asked her father, turning her head to look up at his face that looked just as confused.
An unknown entry. Suddenly, Y/N's enhanced intuition kicked in, giving her an idea of what she thought the message could mean.
She dare not say his name out of fear her anger turn into dangerous unchecked rage that would then send her powers out of control. That wouldn't end well for anybody.
She groaned at the thought. Did he really not listen to Y/N's explicit instruction? Was it really him that entered the gate into the facility?
"It better not be.." Y/N mumbled angrily, shaking her head as she gestured for her father to follow her direction.
They began trotting down the hallway again, lights flickering as they passed several alarms that screeched about their escape.
The pair relied on Y/N's precognition to guide them to the gate exit. Her precognition was her ability to be able to sense what is right, and what benefits her future, as well as flash images of her near future as well.
"This way." She declared, leading her father in the direction wherever she felt was right.
She could feel certain pulls, leading her in the right directions as they twist and turn in the hallways, trying to find their way out.
It was when they turned the corner closest to the gate entrance room—now just down the hall—that more Russian guards started to flood into the halls.
The father and daughter turned to exchange confident looks with each other as the guards bolted for them. They nodded their heads to each other.
The duo then turned back to look in the direction of the guards that were now running even closer to them, but the Hoppers were ready.
Their fists clenched in balls at their sides, their power just waiting to be unleashed.
Their blood was heated with anger and pure unchecked energy and power from not taking their mediating pills.
Jim's eyes already shifted to fade into the lightest shade of his eye color blue to signal his use of his powers, his feet planted to prepare for impact of the guards.
"Let's dance." Y/N smirked, slightly tilting her head to instigate the guards ; her eyes clouding to change into their intense grey color.
Russian guards came at the duo from every direction, throwing punches and kicks at Y/N from every angle they could think of.
She took every hit with grace, but instead, returned every hit back at them with even greater force, her fists colliding with unshaven chins and her knees kicking exposed rib cages before they even got the chance to touch their guns.
However, the guards seemed to get smarter with their choice of combat weapons, because one even came at her with electric taser sticks, making her shriek at every poke they took to her skin.
Her blood seemed to broil even more at her intensified anger, an uncontainable lust for violence on whoever dealt her that pain was now untamable.
She turned to glare angrily with her stormy grey eyes at the culprit, reaching to snatch it out of his hand to then break the rod in half over her knee, throwing the two halves to the side.
"Sorry, but that's cheating." She shrugged sarcastically as she seemed to enjoy the fearful look in the guard's eyes before she knocked him out cold.
The tasing rod seemed to affect her more than she originally thought, her side hurt a bit more than she liked. The only thing she could do, was push through the pain, and allow her healing abilities to do their job.
All she focused on afterwards, was her breathing.
It was loud and heavy as she twisted and turned to greet every guard with loving punches to knock out a good few teeth, or to just knock them out cold.
And it wasn't until there were no longer guards in the hallway coming for her, that she realized that they took care of each and every one of them.
She looked down at her fists, dried blood crusting the knuckles from pummeling the guards into unconsciousness.
Her grey eyes cleared back to her normal e/c color, thus granting her access to her more humanitarian emotions. Like guilt.
A brief wave of guilt washed over her as she tried to catch her breath. She had just beaten dozens of Russian guards into black-outs with her bare hands, and who knows how many are going to die from her beatings.
But that brief wave of guilt was just that. It was brief.
She had to bury her emotions for a later time, when she wasn't still stuck in a hellhole where the very guards that she had just beaten treated her like she was nothing more than worthless livestock for their own research.
And with that final thought, she didn't feel so bad about her actions anymore.
She thought of it more as payback for what they did to her, and she was alright with that.
This should send Brenner the message that he's changed her into something that could kill him. And that made Y/N smile.
Y/N turned to check on her father, meeting his now usual blue eyed gaze. "Are you alright?" He asked, his breathing was ragged.
He had few deep bleeding cuts on his body and bruises littered his face, but that wasn't nothing she couldn't heal for him.
She walked over to her father, beginning to reach her hand up to his face before he objected, "Y/N, I'll be fine. We need to save our energy, which means, you can't be donating some of yours to your old man."
Y/N chuckled softly, shaking her head.
She reached her hand up to her father's forehead, placing two fingers to his warm and sweat-tired temple to close her eyes as she focused on healing his wounds.
After a few silent seconds, her eyes shot open when she felt the healing of his wounds were completed, and she took a step back to see if she healed everything.
She didn't bother healing herself of her small wounds that would heal at accelerated paces anyways because she would rather use that energy to heal her father rather than waste more of it for herself.
"You are so stubborn." Hopper huffed, shaking his head with a joking smile.
Y/N scoffed, "Maybe a wow, thank you Y/N, would be better." She joked, secretly thankful that her healing transfer didn't take too much energy out of her.
"One day, kid. One day."
The pair stuck together as they turned to look around at the hallway, seeing the Russian guards all laying down on the ground, with the alarms still blaring in their ears.
"We should hurry up, they'll send more guards in soon." Hopper spoke up, tugging at his collar of his black prison jumpsuit to try to circulate more air.
He looked heat-exhausted, and it was then that Y/N realized that she was absolutely melting to death in her own prison jumpsuit.
It was odd how quickly her body temperature seems to change, but the newfound heat was absolutely killing her.
"Screw this crap." She muttered, tugging at her black prison top.
She unbuttoned it and pull it over her head to reveal a black tank top underneath that seemed better than her jumpsuit top. She would just have to deal with her jumpsuit pants and combat boots.
"Now, let's get the hell out of here." She threw her jumpsuit top to the side annoyed, making her way around her father who had done the same with his jumpsuit top due to the heat.
She leaned down at the doorknob of the gate entrance room, placing her hand flat against the keypad electronic lock as she pressed her ear to the door as well. Using her telekinetic ability, she mentally searched the lock for its code that would allow access to the door.
It was funny, actually. The last time she did this, she was opening the safe that held the keys to close the gate back at the battle at Starcourt Mall.
The Mall.
The Gate.
The upside down ; the uninhabitable place she had to survive in for months.
Her friends she left behind.
Mike..
"Got anything?" Her father yelled with a struggled grunt, but his voice seemed distant.
She turned to look over her shoulder, seeing her father fighting and stalling some new guards that had flooded in. She must've been so deep in her other thoughts that she didn't even hear them coming.
And just like that, she found the correct code that would grant them access, and mentally pressed the inside keys. Not long after, she heard the correct buzz. "Yeah. Yeah I got it!" She called out.
With that, Y/N twisted the doorknob to open the gate entrance room, turning to call her father over, who then ran as fast as he could to the open door, entering in quickly before she closed the door and locked it behind her.
With one twist of her hand, she mentally jumbled the circuits inside the electronic lock of the door, effectively preventing anyone from accessing the door from the outside. But that didn't stop the loud bangs, thuds, and shouts came from the other side of the door.
Y/N exhaled with relief, turning to look at her father with an tired look, who seemed equally as tired as she was.
But it didn't take long for their attention to shift to what else was in the same room as them. They both turned their heads, their eyes meeting the unmistakable sight that they knew would be their exit ticket.
It was something they hadn't seen in what seemed like years, and oddly enough, it was comforting to them. They felt comforted by the presence of the otherworldly dimension.
There in front of them, stood the gate that led to the upside down—the same gate they entered the facility through.
"Wow.." Y/N breathed out, taking in what she now appreciated as its beauty. "We actually made it."
Hopper nodded, his eyes still glued to the gate's pulsing energy that he couldn't help but feel drawn to, much like Y/N felt.
"It's..weak."
Y/N's intense trance with the gate was broken as she turned to look at her father with concern. "Wait, what? What do you mean?"
Hopper turned to meet his daughter's worried gaze, pointing to the dull glow in the gate that she hadn't noticed before, seeing the vines becoming tighter and closer.
Like it was about to close. Like it didn't have the energy to stay open.
"No.." Y/N muttered stressfully, running a hand over her shortened hair that she used her healing powers to grow back.
Hopper then walked over closer to the entrance to kneel down to the ground, placing a hand to the ground where it looked like there were tracks of someone who had just entered through he gate, and tracked in some upside down ooze and dirt onto the ground.
And as Y/N walked over closer to her father, she saw that the tracks were new. Her father once being a hunter, he could read tracks pretty well. "These are new. And there wasn't just one person, there was two."
Y/N then remembered what the announcement said, about unknown entries entering through the gate earlier.
She thought it was Mike who had entered through the gate with someone else, but whoever did enter, was no longer here.
Which could only mean, that they were somewhere in the facility, against Y/N's instruction.
And that they're out in the facility looking for Y/N and Hopper ; defenseless, and with no idea of what they just walked in to.
