WHEN JULIA HAYES got herself arrested at the age of 15 for illegal usage of medicine, aelia erikson threw a fit. julia was sick, and the best way to numb the pain her body was forcing upon her was through drugs.

it wasn't her fault she had an incurable disease that ate away at her body like a snail against leaves. slow, but fast enough to cause pain with every bite.

aelia went to the council about the issue of her best friends unjust trial, arguing that she was going to die in less than a decade so why would they lock her up and send her to her death over a few plants no one even cared or knew was missing except for the privileged?

unfortunately, the council of the ark did not care about a little girl's death sentence, and when aelia realized they cared more about their gossip than the wellbeing of their citizens, she got angry.

and when aelia got angry, she wasn't just filled with annoyance, she was filled with fire and rage.

her anger got her locked up, charged with battery and a few other intense assaults. aelia was ride or die when it came to her best friend, and so she had no care if, in the defence of her friend, she would die as well.

her mother was dead and her father had a new family, so no one except julia would miss her.

until the girls are sent downwards, to a fate worse than death, and the girl made of sunshine catches the attention of a boy filled with so much darkness, her shine is nauseating to him.

i had a dream about this a few months ago and i literally would die for aelia and julia oh my god i love them

so basically, julia has parkinsons disease, and she occasionally smoked pot to reduce her symptoms and help with her motor functions.

unfortunately, she got caught, which caused a whole domino effect of monty & jasper getting caught (they supplied her the drugs, those bad boys ):<) and then aelia getting really mad and punching jaha!!

if you are to take this plot, i would suggest doing some research into parkinsons disease, since it is a big part of julia's character!!!

and aelia, oh my god she's just such a wholesome person with such a big heart who loves her best friend and will do anything to keep her safe!!!

also, she is very much a happy person, despite her violent crime,, always trying to put smiles on other's faces and keep everyone from killing each other.

john basically teases her, trying to get her to not act nice, show her bad side, etc etc.

like, they've literally been sent to die and she's smiling and acting all happy and NOT brooding and acting all angsty like everyone else is like what is wrong with this girl???

aelia and john usually don't have much interaction, unless they go out of their way to talk (which is mostly what murphy does the little shit) because they're completely different people with completely different groups!!!

aelia and julia come from farm station, so they're with mainly monty and jasper, and of course murphy is with bellamy and stuff (well for a while... 👀)

however when they do interact he's just being a whiny little bitch, occasionally flirting with her just to tease her cause he's just trying to get a reaction out of her.

AND aelia is trying to get him to not be a dick cause she does kinda like him BUT she also knows he's a bit a jerk so her mind is like 'stay away from him!!!' and her heart is like 'eyyy he's cool let's fall in love during a war!!!' ((((:
