Chapter No # 2

After Sometime
Somewhere In Air
In Emirates Plane
Hiral had booked their tickets from India to the U.S in Economy Class. Right now, sitting on the Window Seat still carrying Musical Box near to Her Heart, She looked outside of the Window only to see passing Clouds which for the starters did increase her heart beat wildly as for the first time she is traveling in an Airplane that too for International Flight. Looking ahead, her eyes were teary and then Hiral who was seated beside her, time-to-time comforting her.

Sometime after the Plane had taken off from the runway, Nandini closed her eyes and remembered Hiral’s words which she spoke not long ago.

“Nandu mein janti hoon tumare State of mind ko. Achay tariqe se samj sakhti hoon tum kya feel karhi ho kyuke is Phase se mein bhi guzari hoon. Mein tumhe kuch zyada toh nahi kahongi par itna zaroor kahongi keh kaha jata hai,

*Hamesha yaad rakhna jo hota achay keh liye hota hai. Kyuke is main humari bhalai chupai hoti hai jo humain abhi nahi bad main pta chalti hai*

Toh Nandu I’m sure yeh decision acha hi sabit hoga. Agar yeh decision tumare haq main nahi hota toh tum itni door tak nahi ati,na hi Tumhe S.P.A.C.E Academy ka first exam pass karti aur na hi paiso ka intezam hota.”

[I’m well aware of your state of mind, Nandu. I can easily understand what you are going through because I too had experienced this phase of my life. I won’t say anything more to you but would like to tell you,

*Always remember that whatever happens it happens for a good cause. Because it happened in our favor only which we wouldn’t know now but would only know later on in life.*

So nandu I’m sure behind taking this decision, it would only benefit you. If this decision didn’t prove to be in your favor so you wouldn’t have come this too far, neither you have cleared S.P.A.C.E Academy’s first exam nor all the finances would have been managed.]

After Sometime she heard,

“I know asaan nahi hoga. (Pause) Pta hai jab mein pehli bar States ayi thi tab mujhe bht muskil hui thi kyuke yahan mera koi apna nahi tha. Ek anjaan si jagaha main koi nahi tha jisey main janti. Na ghar tha na job aur upar se family ko bht miss karti thi. Lakin ab dekho ab ghar hai, job hai, degree hai aur apni family ko bhi support karti hoon. Ab toh family keh bagir rhene ki itni addat hogayi keh ab unki itni yaad nahi ati. (Pause) Mein janti hoon tumare liye bhi asaan nahi hoga lakin Nandu mein hongi tumare saath aur tumara pura khyal rakhongi har lehaz se lakin in sab main tumari madat chaiye keh pura pura mera saath dogi. Aur dekhna sab kuch acha hoga par haan ek baat yaad rakhna hamesha apne kam se kam se rehna phr tumhe koi problem nahi hogi.”

[I know this wouldn’t be at all easy for you. (Pause) You know when for the very first time I came to the States at that time I had to go through so many hurdles. My life here was so difficult because no one was here to whom I could call as mine. There was no one in this unfamiliar strange place. I didn’t have a home to stay, not job and secondly I would miss my family like hell. But look at Me now, now I have place to live, job, degree and I could support my family too. Now I got used to living without a family so I don’t miss them anymore. (Pause) I know it wouldn’t be easy for you as well but Nandu I am here for you and I would take care of you as much as I can but in all this you have to help me that you would give me your hundred percent. And look, everything would be good, but always remember that you don’t need to poke your nose anywhere anytime, then you would have no problem.]

Hiral’s words indeed decreased her stress levels, but she knew Her Di was right. And now she had taken a step for her family to lessen their worries & burdens, and she couldn’t go back. And as everyone has said, so she started taking positivity in it but still she was worried that how this World would be, would it be the same as she had back then in India. She is having so many questions in her Mind and many worries in her Heart but She knows the time will only tell. Expecting to know what her future might hold for her is useless since she will get to know only at the right time.

A long journey of Flight from India to States has finally ended. Hiral holding Nandini’s hand guided her to the New-York City International Arrival Terminal. Time-to-Time they had to go through a Security check procedure. After a long security procedure, they both waited for their luggage to arrive and from then they will be heading to Hiral’s apartment which is 20 kms away from Airport. Since it was already dark and late, there was nothing both the Girls could do except for resting.

Hiral 5 months ago had bought a 2 rooms Apartment which was near her work station. She didn’t know she would soon be having company. Though Apartment wasn’t spacious, it was still spacious enough for 2 people. A small kitchen having a few rows of shelves, 2 burners, mini fridge and a small dining table was all she had in the kitchen. Right now, Hiral is cooking breakfast for herself and for Nandini.

Once they have breakfast then Hiral is going to take Her at the Restaurant, which is an Indian Restaurant opened by Indian people. Thinking it would be in best interest for Nandini, she had already talked with them and had already forwarded Nandini’s CV to them. Since Hiral was their regular customer, so the owners and waitress & waiter already knew her and shared a good bond with each other so right now the same good bond came in handy for Nandini. Moreover she trusted these people for Nandini.

In Singh’s Cafe & Inn
Indian people had opened the restaurant with their surname and they served a variety of Indian Cuisines then International Cuisines. Plus the food over here is purely Halal. Hiral, after stepping in Restaurant quickly greeted and introduced them to Khushi and vice versa. The owners did take an interview with Nandini but it was a very simple interview as Hiral had already briefed them about her.

Once they finished interviewing Nandini, they talked with Hiral & Nandini that her job will be as “Junior Manager” but for starters she is going to assist her senior so that she can learn about her job. Nandini agreed and then they discussed about 4 hour timings which are going to be flexible. After having a long period of discussion about dos and don’ts, next it was acceptable to Nandini that for sometime a month or more than 6 weeks and that she is going to work for 5 hours in Morning shift under Miss. Kapoor who is head manager and is only available in Morning shift. And once she gets admission and classes will be started so from then she will be transferred to the Evening shift. So starting tomorrow Morning, She is going to start.

Next, Hiral dropped her to The S.P.A.C.E Academy as at the earliest Nandini has to submit her documents for her Next Exam which is scheduled 5 days later on, on Saturday.

In The S.P.A.C.E Academy
Unaware how her Journey will be in the S.P.A.C.E Academy once she gets admission, Nandini started to walk fearingly in the S.P.A.C.E Academy towards her destination after asking directions from the Students, who started having a good laugh at her, seeing her dress. She was both Awwed and Ashamed by seeing her future University. Awed because it was a beautiful University. She compared S.P.A.C.E Academy with her Indian Universities and no doubt she chose the latter was more beautiful but secretly she knew that was not the case. And Ashamed because seeing the dressing sense of Students over here especially Girls who had barely covered her body. She knew the Culture over here is very advanced & different from her Indian Culture so she didn’t comment nor said anything about it. Quietly and politely she asked about the Direction of Admission office. After a long time, finally she was standing in front of the Admission Cell thanks to a Student who had helped her.

Unaware of the daily routine of the S.P.A.C.E Academy, she waited for her turn to submit her documents. Once her turn came, she had not only submitted the required documents but also filled a 6 pages form, which is specially designed for scholarship students. Next, waiting for little time to receive her Admit Card & Enrollment Card, which she is going to need to sit for the Next Exam. As Nandini was busy doing her procedure, she was unaware what was going on in The S.P.A.C.E Academy at this moment and next moment she felt as if suddenly Cold Breeze started to flow and her Heart started to beat erratically.

Meanwhile
Another Victim of Fab6’s ragging/bullying was running to save his life. His running bloody body was proof that before how much he was tortured by some students who had not only beaten him, punched him, kicked him but had thrown a variety of things on him that he started to smell like trash.

Soon that Victim or student reached an abandoned place where it has a jammer, so no sim signals will be catched nor Internet signals. It was a totally abandoned place. There Victim started to get more torture that he was in brink of losing his life. Soon, he fell on the place and closed his eyes. Next his photographs were taken, soon to be forwarded to Fab6. Nobody knew why the Victim got a Fab6 yellow card but not to come in bad books of Fab6 especially in Fab6’s leader who is more dangerous and has a terrifying aura. Not wanting to come in bad books, Students of S.P.A.C.E Academy started to torture the Victim that now maybe he lost him life. It’s okay if you don’t come in Good books of Fab6 as there was no one who had reserved their place in the good books. But it’s not at all okay to come in bad books and especially receiving Fab6’s yellow card.

In Jamming Room
Fab6 members in their Jamming Room were having fun while seeing LIVE footage of the victim on the 70-inch Samsung LED. There were only five people, whereas no one knew where is their Leader. They knew he didn’t like to share the details, nor had he ever told them about his whereabouts. He is a silent guy, but his Aura is terrifying for the rest of the world. No one knew why a few weeks ago, he had broken up with his seven long years Girlfriend Aliya when they were Couple-in-Love. Actually it was Aliya who had truly loved him. They had shared one passionate relationship so it came as a shock when out of nowhere he had announced his break up.

Now also, they didn’t know where at this moment he will be. But little did they knew, he is somewhere very near to the person who is soon going to become His World, the only one “Who Would Make His Heart Beat”.

Soon 5 days passed in a blink and now Nandini had given her Second & Last Exam. If she has passed this exam with flying colors then soon her interview will be scheduled with the rest of the 49 students.

After giving a handwritten exam which lasted for 3 hours. Half hour for BCQs (Best Choice Questions) and the rest of the time for Short and Long Question & Answers. 

After giving her exam, she walked from there to somewhere but little did she know her next actions had made someone notice her. Her kind nature made someone hooked his eyes on her. But time will only tell what would be the outcome of her this kind Nature.

Soon, the results of the second exam were announced, and Nandini Murthy was one of the fifty students who passed the exam with flying colors . Next, their interview was scheduled the day after tomorrow. The lucky 10 students who would also passed the interview would be the one who will receive admission letter and later would be having special training classes for 2 weeks so that they would mix up well with students of S.P.A.C.E Academy.

It has been a pretty long time since Nandini has arrived in New York. Seeing her, no one would guess. It’s going to be a month since she landed in New York. It was like yesterday when She stepped out of the airport in hope for her good future. In the starting days, she was too stressed that what would happen in the next few days. But she has not only made a good reputation at her workplace but has also passed all the hurdles and now She is going to be a student of the S.P.A.C.E Academy in the medical field. 

When Murthys got to know that their beloved daughter is now going to become a Student of S.P.A.C.E Academy, their happiness has no limits and has a little party in their House in Mumbai and Nandini was also part of the Party through Video Call. Seeing the happiness on her Family’s faces, she felt as if she got the whole world and prayed to always see happiness intact on her Family’s face and for that no matter what she had to go through. 

She has not only qualified the Handwritten exam with flying colors but has also passed Interview with good grades enough to give her admission. Next in special training classes, she had learnt everything but what she had not learnt from those classes was to stay away as far as she can from Fab6 especially from the leader. But she got to know a little bit insights of the S.P.A.C.E Academy through the same students who also attended special classes with her. From those Students she learnt about Fab6 ragging/bullying and to maintain distance as much as she can from Fab6 especially from the Leader. Then she got to know about the certain person “Manik Malhotra” who is the Eye-Candy of all the Girl students of the campus since he was so handsome, but a silent Guy who possesses Terrifying Aura. The same Manik Malhotra is not the only leader of Fab6 but also Son of the Conglomerate and he himself holds the high position in Business World, as he himself is the Business Man, he is a CEO of “M Fashion House” which comes under the banner of M Group. She also heard Manik Malhotra is a Fashion Designer but is a student of Musical Department with Fab5, making their Group as Fab6. Last but not the least she got to know Manik Malhotra is not the person to be trifled with and certainly not to be messed with. She heard so many things, which increased Her stress to many levels and her heart started beating harshly. Just by a few informative words she got so scared that she wanted to go back to India but stopped thinking about her family. And now witnessing her Family’s happiness and how proudly they told everyone about her that she got admission in S.P.A.C.E Academy. Seeing their happiness, She held her steps from moving back. To avoid such circumstances, she made some rules for herself that to avoid everyone. She is going to University for her classes, then library and from there back to Hostel. Thinking of Hostel, She thought soon she had to shift from Hiral Di’s place to Girls Hostel which itself is in the S.P.A.C.E Academy.

Soon the D-day has arrived when she is going to have her first day in S.P.A.C.E Academy. After offering her prayers she got ready in her Uniform given by the University. At first seeing Students wearing short Uniforms she was shocked and horrified that she has to wear a short uniform, A button white shirt with a check buttoned blazer, a tie, overcoat and mini check-Skirt. But thankfully after sets of submitted Applications, she was allowed to wear a Long check-Skirt which covers below her knees instead of mini skirt.

After getting ready she looked at herself in the Mirror and still felt disgusted at her Uniform which was still short even though Blazer, Tie and overcoat did help her but Skirt was still short as it didn’t cover her legs till ankle. Below the Skirt, she wore plain white Converse shoes and added White socks to her Converse shoes from her toes till reaching up at her knees as this will somehow hide her fair-tone legs. After checking herself in Mirror, she started to breathe in & out and started praying in her Heart & Mind, to keep her hidden from evil Eyes especially from Fab6. But little she knew this Wish of hers would not be fulfilled.

In S.P.A.C.E Academy
Coming to S.P.A.C.E Academy for her exam, interview and special classes she knew her way to the Medical Department.

Stepping in, soon as usual she was noticed by every student who was passing from there and as usual she was taken as a joke as they would laugh at her. Her complexion was a bit darker than those students as naturally they were born with white as wall Complexion. Her complexion and her features were enough to tell everyone that she is not from the U.S. Next her lengthened Skirt made them call with many insulting words which in her language would mean they called her as “Behenji”. The way they started to make fun of her, made her eyes teary. Even though it was not new she has become a joke but today it was extremous according to her as today she is crossing crowds of Students to go to her Department. Their Insults made her heart heavy and soon tears started falling from her eyes and she began to cry, making those Students to make fun of her more. Not able to take their insults anymore, she ran from there not knowing her way.

Soon she came to the backside of Abandoned place and started crying like a Baby and complained like a Baby not knowing she cries & complaints were heard by someone who got amused for the first time by seeing this Unique piece. Even though, the Person didn’t understand what she complained about and about whom since she complained in her Mother-Language. Though the person couldn’t understand anything but he forwarded a handkerchief to her and said in his American Accent in his polite voice but his words were sharp.

“If you have such a Weak Heart then you shouldn’t have taken admission here. But since You have already taken it then learn to make your Heart strong because there is no place for weakers like you. And what are you? Are you like 5 who is crying like a Baby? You are an adult so behave like one.”

Saying this in his polite voice, the Person took his Guitar bag and walked from there leaving Nandini in thoughts. She knew what this person has said was true but she has been like this. From past Years she lived a well-protected life and now suddenly she was exposed to the outer world and she doesn’t know how to make herself strong. Then she looked at her hand which was holding that Person’s handkerchief and suddenly a small smile appeared on her face. At first this Person’s face seemed familiar and now when she thought of it she realized he was the same person who had guided her way to the Admission Office. And what he said was sharp but his tone was polite. And he wore a Cap and looked softly at her while speaking those words to her, made him look Cute to her. 

For some time, she sat on the bench and kept looking at the handkerchief and smiled. Today was only Introductory class and Seniors coming to freshers class to rag them has become a Fashion so she avoided going to Introductory class and sat here. For some time it was quite peaceful but then she heard someone shouting followed by voices of many people or Students. Curiosity got the best of her, thinking would it be okay to go from there quietly if something dangerous was not going to come so for that she had to know. Next she stood up and slowly slowly took steps toward the place from where voices were coming. She hide herself well. And saw something which made her eyes widened.

Infront of Abandoned Place
Once again Victim was being tortured by the Students but this time, it was severe as the fresher dared to post a poem on Fab6 Aliya’s Instagram account. Everyone in the S.P.A.C.E Academy knew Aliya is a Girlfriend of Manik Malhotra when it was only known in Fab6 that Manik & Aliya are not in Relationship anymore but that doesn’t mean anyone could post anything on Fab6’s members account. Everyone knew that person signed his death warrant, which that person failed to understand. After having a good treatment from students, that person ran to the place unknown to him it was abandoned place. Here, he was tortured more. And then suddenly a few students screamed “Fab6” “Fab6” 5 members of Fab6 came there as usual in their Swag and from there itself everything was frozen or put everything to hold. Seeing 5 members of Fab6, Students heartbeat started to beat harshly as this was the proof of Fab6’s terror.

Next a Boy in his 20s but looked like a Muscular Teen, came there. He was wearing sleeveless shirt with a Fur overcoat and Pent with Sketchers. His hairs were flowing to the direction where air flows. His personality with his Whitish Skin complexion with his Eyes hidden behind Glares made him look extremely handsome. He was dressed simply but still he looked like a Model from Elite Magazines. Seeing the person, everyone started to shout taking his name “Manik” “Manik”. So the person is one & only Manik Malhotra. With his arrival here, the temperature suddenly increased. He was wearing Shades so no one knew what his eyes must be looking right now but it would be filled with Rage and why not that nobody had dared to something like that with Fab6’s member and that too with his X.

Next, Manik alongwith Fab5 sat on the bench and that too in style throwing his legs here & there and looked ahead to see how the Victim was getting tortured. They were laughing and enjoying the moment but Manik didn’t laugh nor smile but just looked plainly. Then that person or victim came to ask forgiveness from him. But when that victim touched Manik’s pent, so he lost it that how the hell that low-life dared to touch his Pent with his dirty hands.

Next minute, Manik stood up, threw his shades to Cabir. Holding the boy’s collar, he started to beat him black & blue. With Manik’s each punch, that Person was going close to death. While Manik was beating the hell out of the person, Students started to shout taking Manik’s name as if encouraging him while Fab5 were even more now enjoying the fight to the fullest. They thought Manik’s this temper was because someone dared to post on His X Insta account but little did they know it was partially correct.

When Manik saw that person was close to his death, he gave One last punch to him and let his bloody body fall to the ground. Then announced or better threatened everyone. 

Then taking back his Shades from Cabir, he was about to go from there that he suddenly noticed the hiding figure of someone who was shivering. Seeing the person’s face, he looked at her for a moment then went from there.

Whereas away from the Commotion, Nandini had witnessed everything, even the cruelty of the Person (Manik) who had beaten the hell out of the person. Seeing this much, she started to shiver and quickly walked from there to the place which was quiet so that she would not be seen and that Place would only be Hiral’s apartment. In all this she failed to notice the handkerchief guy was also enjoying the fight and was sitting between 2 girls and 2 boys.

In Hiral’s Apartment
After seeing such ugly fight for the very first time, her body continued to shiver and right now in her room she was kneeling down on the floor and hide her face between knees and started to cry knowing in which hell of the University she had got admission. Next, she started to feel more fear by remembering that Person’s face, who was none other than Manik, the Manik Malhotra, leader of Fab6. She started to feel fear from Manik’s face. Earlier she failed to understand the gravity but when today she had first-hand witnessed his Ruthlessness, she started to feel more fear from him. Little did she know it was for time being, when the same Ruthless Manik would change himself for her and just only to her. 

For some time, she had hid herself in the Room. It was past afternoon when she came out of the Room and got ready to go for a Work.

Changing from Uniform to her Dress. Her dress was a brown-coloured maxi which covered till her ankle, stole around her neck falling till sides of the waist and matching sandals. Then carrying her bag she walked out from the Apartment after locking it.

Near Singh’s Restaurant 
Since Restaurant was 5 to 10 minutes walking distance away from Hiral’s apartment to Singh’s Cafe & Inn. So Nandini always preferred walking if she was not late.

She was near the Restaurant when she suddenly felt something and instead of turning around to check, she fisted her hands and walked from there in a hurry to minimize the distance as much as she could. Little did she know the person who had seen her some days ago, today had again seen her. While sitting in His Green Sports Car, he watched her with his Shades on, hiding his eyes behind it. Seeing how she ran from there it made him think that maybe she felt she was followed and a small smile appeared on his lips.

Today his Day went not good, and he was used to it since all his days didn’t go well but recently from previous some days it went worse than before. From past days he daily visited the same place where he had seen the Girl (Nandini) for the very first time. Her kind nature and a beautiful shy smile made something stir in his stone-heart for the very first time. She was dressed fully and her innocence-filled face made him hooked to her. She was looking like an Angel, a beautiful innocent Angel, the same Angel’s kindness didn’t let him to look somewhere else. 

From the past days, he visited the same place so that he could see her again & again but couldn’t able to see her, which made him frustrated. He didn’t know why that Girl was having such an effect on him but strangely he was not against to this such unnamed feelings. And today when he least expected to see her, she came right in front of his eyes.

Outside of Singh’s Cafe & Inn
Slowly slowly following her, he reached the place which looked like a Restaurant, reading a name “Singh’s Cafe & Inn” he was confused as to why she came here. Was it because she wanted to have some lunch or was it something else. Quickly taking out his Cell-phone, he dialed a number of the person who is mini Investigator meaning for whatever thing he wants investigation, he remembered him. After calling the person, he didn’t exchange any pleasantries as it was not in his nature. Without beating around the bush, he directly came to the point.

“For Me, you need to investigate someone. She is a student of The S.P.A.C.E Academy, maybe a Fresher. And right now she entered in Singh’s Cafe & Inn in XYZ Area.”

“You are my Boss or I’m your Boss?”

“She had worn an brown-coloured Ankle length frock.”

“Investigate her and send me the reports as soon as you can in two days or else on the third day you would be seen out of the office and mind you I will Kick you because I don’t want any useless people in my Office.”

After giving his task and without hearing anything in return he cut the Call. And looked ahead to the Singh’s Cafe & Inn and now seeing her talking to one of the waitresses, he was able to see her clearly because she was out standing on the Green carpet outdoor. Seeing her, He removed his shades and revealed his beautiful Silver coloured eyes with Green flecks. His Whitish Skin with flawless skin adds more beauty to his handsome face. Looking at her without his shades on maybe for the first time, his eyes could tell the story that He has started to like the person akka Nandini. With his Sports Car window glass up, he raised his hand on the glass and started caressing her face from the glass. Next, he promised himself.

“I will get to know about you very soon. And I wouldn’t let you go away from Me now when I caught my Eyes on you.”

“But seeing you in S.P.A.C.E Academy was indeed a very pleasant shock.”

Saying a few words, he wore his shades and switched on the button and his Sports-Car engine was ignited. Seeing her for the last Time, he drove the Car from there to his Office.

He doesn’t know why he suddenly begins to act like this and what will be the outcome of it. Today he had seen her shivering figure after the ugly fight in the Abandoned place. He wanted to approach her but couldn’t and next he could see her running from there. That means she is scared of violence and oh boy such violence occurs daily in the S.P.A.C.E Academy. He didn’t know what is this feeling, should he not acknowledge it or let it go. He doesn’t know anything but let himself flow with the situation. Sometime back he thought he didn’t have a heart infact he still believed he is one heartless soul who doesn’t have heart that’s why it’s easy for him to carry such terrifying aura. But he don’t know when she is in front of him so why did he feel his heart is beating wildly. He didn’t know anything but he didn’t want to ignore these feelings as he is feeling like this for the very first time. Never in his life he felt such a thing. He is a silent person, but his Aura and His name screams to never mess with him. He was a devil incarnate but then why does he feel such a thing towards her when he hasn’t met her or has seen her for a longer period of time. But what it is still, he wouldn’t ignore it. He is a Man and face everything strongly and whatever it is, so he will face this strongly too.

Seeing her for the last time, he drove the His Sports car from there.

Today’s day was both bad and good for Nandini. Bad for what she has seen in S.P.A.C.E Academy and decided to herself that she would not see things like this anymore. And good because that finally from Tomorrow she no longer was going to assist her Senior as she was doing. Now she will work on her own as her Job or Junior Manager.

Now after having Dinner and good chat with her Di, she told that day after tomorrow she is going to move to Hostel which made Hiral sad and Nandini herself was sad too but it was long known. And now lying on her bed, her mind wandered back to Morning’s happening and she felt a sense of hatred but more than hatred it was fear from Manik Malhotra. Then she thought if she had to stay away from Fab6 then she should know about Fab6. From past days she avoided knowing about Fab6 but after today’s event she thought to search on them. But after some time, she thought not to. Then she got a Call from her Her home and for sometime she continued to talk with them till she started to Yawn.

Then after cutting the Call, She changed into Night dress and laid down on the bed and soon in no time, she fell asleep.
