37. Bourbons, bourbons, bourbons
37. Bourbons, bourbons, bourbons
At the grill, Damon was completely ignoring me and honestly, I was getting annoyed. Shouldn't I be the one to ignore him? I mean, he did attempt and nearly kill me. He had some nerve.
I think Bonnie noticed me death glaring Damon. "Nina, let's go to the bathroom."
I forced a smile. "Yeah, ok."
I brushed past Damon, Elena, Ric, Jenna, and Jeremy, and then enterred the bathroom with Bonnie. I went over to the sink, and imagined it was Damon.
"Hi, Damon. Would you like me to drown you?" In my head, the sink said yes. So I put the plug in the drain, and then turned the tap on. Bonnie raised her eye-brow at me, and then spun me round.
"We need to talk." She said.
"What about?"
"Well, when you came in and I hugged you...I got a kind of...vision thing. And basically, I saw you die."
I shrugged my shoulders. I'd guessed Bonnie had saw something horrifying when she hugged me, and then flung back into Jeremy screaming "holy crap!" and blaming it on a random thought of being a jelly baby and having her heat bitten off.
"Yeah...Damon got angry and almost killed me. But I had his blood in my system so his blood actually healed me and I didn't die. But that didn't stop him from thinking that I was dead, and then digging a hole ready to bury me in."
Bonnie's mouth dropped open. "That jerk!"
I nodded. "Yeah. Just don't tell anyone though."
"I promise."
"Can we get back to the rest of them?" I asked. "I'd like the sink to die alone."
Bonnie laughed. "Yeah, come on."
We walked back through to the table and I sat down on Elena's knee. Everyone seemed used to my random actions by now so they didn't question it.
"I could really use a toothbrush at the minute." Bonnie said as she sat down next to Jeremy.
"Why?" Elena asked.
"Cause Jeremy's breath smells like a fish."
I nodded in agreement, and Jeremy breathed all over her face. I smiled sadly, because if me and Damon were still together, he'd probably be asking me if his breath smelt alright. And I'd tell him that it was horrible, and then he'd kiss me just for the hell of it.
"You ok?" Elena asked me.
I nodded my head. "Yeah I'm...fine. I'm just...gonna go get a drink."
I stood up and quickly ran over to the bar. I looked back, and saw Elena slap Damon's head. I guess it was obvious that I was upset about Damon. I shrugged it off and looked at the bartender.
"Can I get a bourbon without you annoyingly demanding my ID?"
"Nope." He said, smirking.
I eyed him. "This isn't over."
"Yes it is." A voice came from my side. I looked to my right, and saw that Damon had sat next to me on the barstools. He looked into the mans eyes and glared.
"2 bourbons, on the house, and refils if she wants them."
Then, the bartender hurried off to make our drinks. I awkwardly looked at Damon, giving him a tiny little smile, and he just smirked at me.
"What?"
"You." He said. "You're so intense when you want to be."
"Says the one who's been ignoring me." I said.
The bartender set 2 drinks down, and Damon tossed me mine. "I thought that you'd prefer it that way."
I shrugged. "I wanted to break up. I didn't want you to stop talking to me complete. That would be too much of a change."
Damon downed his drink. "It's gonna be difficult to still talk to you when you're living at your parents."
"That's just temporary." I explained. "If I lived with them, then I'd never get to see you or Elena or anyone. I just need some time to clear my head."
He nodded. "When do you think you'll come back?"
"2 days, 2 months, it's hard to tell."
"Well, I hope it's 2 days because I honestly miss you." His eyebrows raised, and I laughed. "What?"
"I miss your eye thing."
"I miss you."
I glared. "You're crazy."
"...about you."
"Damon!"
He chuckled, and then eyed my drink. I quickly gulped it down before he could steal it, and then Damon clapped a few times."
"Well played Nina."
I shrugged. "I've always been good at that."
Damon reached into his pocket, and then pulled out a small black box. He put it on the counter, and then slid ot over to me,
"Open it. It's yours."
I raised an eye-brow at Damon and then picked up the small box. I carefully flipped the lid off; and then found myself facing no other, than a necklace with a silver, transparent crystal attatched onto it.
I smiled, and then turned to face Damon - but he wasn't there.
I looked behind me, and nobody was there. The whole grill which had been overcrowded not 10 seconds ago, was now completely empty.
I grabbed the crystal necklace in my hands, and then, something even more amazingly strange happened. And the grill, completely disappeared.
"Not freaky at all." I said as I stood outside, looking at the trees surrounding me. The weather was quite dull, but that wasn't really a top priority.
I suddenly heard a horse making that...neigh noise.
"Hello?" I called. There was no reply, nothing but the horse again. So, as curiosity got the better of me, I followed the direction of the noise.
I must have walked at least half a mile before I finally got to a small forest. I wandered through the trees and eventually found myself facing a huge, mansion type of house.
There was a man stood on the front steps, and a horse pulling a carriage up onto the lawn. I looked closer, and realized that the man was Stefan.
He was wearing old clothes, a waistcoat with a tie, and black boots.
I was about to shout his name, but then I became too focussed on who was stepping out of the carriage. Me? Elena? Katherine?
She was wearing a long corset-type of dress, and a large hat to match. Her hair was perfectly curled and a young women who looked a lot like Bonnie stood next to her.
"I'm Stefan Salvatore." Stefan said as he approached the carriage. "You must be Miss Pierce?"
So it was Katherine!
"Please." She said, taking his hand. "Call me Katherine."

"Nina!"
Damon's voice startled me and realized that I had been staring into space. I blinked a few times, and then shoved the crystal back into the box.
Damon grabbed my hand. "Are you ok?"
I managed to nod. "What was that?"
"Katherine told me about what Klaus told you the night you left." He explained. "I spoke with Ric, and he and I did some research. We think that you're part witch, and since witch's can draw energy and visions off objects, i gave you that crystal. What did you see?"
"Stefan..." I choked. "Meeting Katherine."
"That explains it." He said. "Katherine wore that crystal on the day she met me and my brother."
I nodded. "Wait - so i'm like, half witch?"
"Yeah." Damon replied. "If you think about it, it's kind of cool."
I closed my eyes. "Bourbon. I need bourbons, bourbons, bourbons."
Damon let go of my hand, and called the waiter over. In the next 10 minutes, I'd downed quite a lot of bourbons and I was still feeling completely sober.
"That was your last."
"What?!"
"I think you should call it a night." Damon said, standing up and wrapping an arm around me. I would have struggled, but the ground dissappeared from beneath me and I kept myself against his chest. I guess I wasn't as sober as I'd thought.
I wasn't even aware that Damon had carried me over to Elena and the others. "I'm taking her home."
There was a murmur of goodbyes, and I just gave everyone a thumbs up. I felt the cool air brush past me, and then suddenly there was a huge gust of wind.
"Big wind..." I muttered.
Damon chuckled. "That's because I was just running."
"Mmm mumba."
"What?"
"I'm a happy drunk." I admitted. "And you're totaly killing my happy buzz."
I felt myself being placed onto a bed, and then blankets brushing over me. I turned onto my side, and my head collided with Damon's chest.
"That was like when the titanic hit the iceberg." I said.
Damon wrapped an arm around me. "Thanks."
"You're in my bed."
"Actually, you're in my bed. We're at the boarding house."
I was going to refuse and demand him to taake me home. But honestly, I just wanted to be in Damons arms for the night. I was weak, he was my drug, and I was hooked.
So instead of refusing temptation, I pulled Damon close to me.
"Night night."
"Sweet dreams, angel."

I woke up to being alone, and honestly, I was annoyed. My head didn't hurt that much, and I managed to get out of bed quickly.
I walked downstairs, and found Elena sitting on the kitchen table with a lollipop.
"Give me a lick?" I begged.
She stuck her tongue out at me, it was amazingly blue. "Nope."
"You have a blue tongue."
"You have dried up spit half way up your eye-brow."
I quickly felt my face and, oh god.
Enter a shirtless Damon, with a smirk on his face. He wandered up to me, and stared at my face.
"Is it normal for spit to reach your eye-brow?"
"No." I admitted. Damon grinned, and then sat down on the counter. "Are we doing anything today?"
"Nope." Elena said, staring at her lollipop.
I lay down on the floor, and I guess Damon and Elena were too used to me by now to ask why I was sat on a dirt full floor.
I didn't care though, it was comfy.

Me, Damon, Elena, Bonnie and Jeremy were all in Jeremy's room listening to the amazing Green Day. I was sat inbetween Bonnie and Jeremy to annoy them, Elena was lying on the bed and Damon was pacing.
My phone buzzed and I opened up the text.
tNeed to speak with you. Meet me at the Lockwood House tonight, 9 pm. Elijah.
I deleted the text before anyone could see it, and then I thought to myself.
What did Elijah want?
