Andi's POV

"How was the movie, girls?" Joel asks, as we all walk to the parking lot. "I loved it so much!" I exclaim. My friends and I continue to fangirl over it.

"There's your parents!" Moriah points out. My friends quickly hug me good-bye, and Joel helps them move their bags from our car to theirs. I wave at them as their parents drive off.

"Thanks for today, Joel!" I exclaim hugging him. "Never again," he groans, "You girls are crazy." I smile, "But you love me." He nods, and boops my nose, "Sadly I do, pretty girl."

The three of us get in the car to go home. "Do you think my mom will call again soon?" I ask. "I hope so, mija. But it's probably hard to find service in the regions she's in," Moriah replies. "Yeah," I sigh.

The radio is playing Live It Well by Switchfoot, so I take my mind off of everything else, and sing along.

Joel smiles at me in the rear-view mirror. I make a face at him, and continue singing along until we get back to the house.

"So sweet girl, what should we do now?" Moriah asks. "Clean the living room," I laugh. "Yeah, you girlies sure did make a mess," she nods.

Moriah helps me and we quickly pick up the blankets, pillows, and other various items strewn across the floor.

"What now?" I ask. "We're going over to Ben and Paige's house tonight," Joel informs me. I smile, "Oh! That should be fun!" Joel nods, "Asher and Hayden will be glad for your company."

I watch some Boy Meets World until it is time to leave. The three of us get into the car again. This time I brought my United CD, and Joel allows me to play it on the drive to Ben's house.

It doesn't take long to get there. Asher runs outside to greet us. Ben and Paige follow along. Hayden is snuggled in Paige's arms.

"Ari! It's me Asher. 'Member me?" Asher asks, wrapping his arms around my leg. I nod, "Of course I do, buddy." I give his hair a ruffle, and he nods contently.

"Hey kiddo, how've you been?" Ben asks, giving me a tight hug. "Good. How about you?" I reply. "I'm doing just fine, my dear," he says.

"Hi hon," Paige gives me a side hug. I smile, "Hi." She hands me Hayden, who stirs in his sleep, but then lays his head on my shoulder and goes back to his peaceful slumber.

"We're so glad you could join us today, Andi. Right, Asher?" Ben asks, turning to his son. Asher nods rapidly, "Yes Ari! I'm so happy you came to my house."

We follow Ben and Paige inside. "You can go play with Asher," Paige says gently to me and the now wide awake, Hayden, "Dinner will be ready soon."

I follow Hayden to where Asher is playing, and sit down to play with him. We're in the middle of a game of "dinosaurs" when Paige calls us to dinner.

I sit down, and Ben says a quick prayer before we begin eating. "So, kiddo, how's your mom doing?" Ben asks. "I guess okay. It's hard for her to keep contact when she's in indigenous regions. Last I heard, she was doing fine," I shrug.

"Are you enjoying your new school?" Paige inquires. "Yeah. I bet Joel already told you about my crazy sleepover this weekend. Moriah was with Court so Joel and Luke were my hosts. Luckily, Libby came and saved us," I chuckle. Ben smiles, "I'm glad you've made new friends." 

The conversation continues like this for the rest of the meal. I finish the game of dinosaurs with the boys, while the adults talk. Before I know it, we're getting ready to leave.

"Thanks for spending the evening with us, kiddo. I hope you had fun," Ben says, giving me a hug. "Yeah, thanks for inviting me. I had fun. See you tomorrow at church," I reply. He nods, "See ya then."

"Thanks for playing with the boys, dear," Paige gives me a warm hug. "It's not problem. I love them," I reply. "I'll see you tomorrow, sweet girl!" She exclaims.

The boys hug my legs, and I crouch to their level. "Be good, okay guys?" I ask, ruffling their hair. "We love you, Ari!" Asher exclaims. I smile, and kiss his head, "I love you too, bud."

We get into the car, and head home. Once home, due to Joel and Moriah's
words, I get ready for bed, because there is church in the morning.

As you might have noticed, I uploaded earlier today. However that was an accident. I was saving a draft for a future chapter and accidentally hit upload. Since I know some of you saw it, and were probably excited, since I haven't uploaded since Christmas, I decided to publish a chapter for you guys today. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
