Shout out to @fangirl5724 for (at this moment in time) being the ONLY person who read all of my authors note on chapter one. Thank you!!! And she's the reason why this chapter is up. On with the story.

I woke up before everyone else, like newt had told me. I attempted to get changed as quickly and quietly as I could.

I used a technique that I vaguely remember doing before, I tied my hair up using strands of hair as a tie. I made some eggs and bacon (left over from the pig last night) and put it under a canopy so when the boys woke up they'd have something to eat.

I had just sat down when a heavy hand landed on my shoulder. I yelped and spun around.

Newt gestured towards my small plate. "Make any of that for me?" He asked, groggily; clearly, based upon the mess his hair is in, he'd just woken up.

I nodded towards the canopy. As he got a helping I continued to eat. The words he'd said yesterday. Most of 'em see me as a sister; who doesn't?

Newt interrupted my trail of thoughts by sitting on the log opposite me.

He noted on my deep in thought face. "If you don't want to go we don't have to." He told me leaning forwards, touching my arm. "No, I want to go." I reassured him.

We ate in silence for the remainder of breakfast.

We then filled up a few cantons of water and grabbed a bacon sandwich with the remainder of the bacon from breakfast and the bread that I made with the wheat we'd harvested.

I also grabbed a small box containing a few things we might need if there's an accident.

Then we headed off, into the maze.

As if I'd leave it there.

We kept a steady pace going around and around the maze marking where we were going by making large slices into the vines against the wall so we could find our way back.

When the sun was at the full height we stopped to have our sandwiches and then turn around and go back.

We sat down against a wall and pulled our sandwiches out.

"I had no idea that Alby has a dodgy toe." "No way I hate the fatty parts too!" "There is no way you could climb those vines to the top, you just can't!"

The conversation went on and on. Getting stranger by the second. Until I couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Yesterday, you told me that most of you guys think of me as a sister. Why only 'most' does someone not?" I asked. Newt looked up in startled shock. "Errrm... well... Someone doesn't know how to feel about you. You could be like a sister or you could be.... More." He finished.

I sat upright. "Who?" I demanded interestedly. Newt stood up. He offered me his hand. "Come on, we had best be getting back".

I took his hand and he hauled me to my feet. He then began walking leaving me to catch up.

When we got back to the glade the sun had just gone behind the wall. Somewhere in the distance you could hear Alby shouting at someone; no doubt Minho, he always has done something wrong in Albys eyes.

I left newt at the door and hurried off towards the cooking station, to make dinner for everyone.

The whole meal Minho was making jokes about me and newt being alone together (haha oxymoron) all day. While I attempted to deny it, my face getting hotter and hotter, the others falling around laughing. All except Newt who barely registered we were talking to him.

Then we all went off to bed leaving Gally with the cleaning up duties.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep thinking about all that had happened in the day but I must have been more tired than I realised as the moment my head hit my bedding, my eyes drooped and I fell into one of the best sleeps I've had since I got here.
