Chapter 15: I'll fight for your approval

Jungkook and his mother hugged for longer than they thought, and soon Mr Jeon came inside the room again, but this time he didn't look as furious anymore.
"Jungkook," he spoke up, causing the younger to flinch, "I'm sorry."
Jungkook stared at him. His father barely looked at him at all, but he did seem really sad, so Jungkook felt as if he didn't have any other choice than to forgive him. He was his father after all, so he just nodded back, but he didn't go up to him.
"So..." he started hesitantly. "Can Taehyung hyung come back up?"
"What?" his father asked, "I don't want you two to be in here alone."
Jungkook frowned at him. "Dad, I'm soon nineteen years old, and he's twenty. We can manage ourselves. Besides, don't you owe him an apology?"
His face stiffened, and he glanced at his wife for help, but she still stood with her arm wrapped around his shoulder. "He's right darling," she agreed. "You slapped the boy, which he didn't deserve. You better apologise, man to man."
He sighed defeated and agreed for the angel to come back inside. Jungkook fetched him from behind the house, beckoning him to follow him, and soon he stood in front of Mr Jeon again. "Look, Taehyung, I'm sorry for slapping and yelling at you. I let anger control me, which I shouldn't let have happened. Please forgive me."
Taehyung's smile grew wider. "Don't worry Mr Jeon, I still love Jungkookie, and I'll fight for your approval," he grinned at him. He turned towards Mrs Jeon - whom had the biggest smile of them all - and grinned sweetly at her. "Seems like I've already gotten yours." He giggled as she nodded and ruffled his hair cutely.
"Okay, boys, it's getting late. Get ready for bed, and I mean no playtime, nor sexy time," she warned teasingly, giving them a wink before she pushed herself and her husband out of the room to leave them alone.
Taehyung finally let out the nervous sigh he had managed to hold in this entire time.
"You okay?" Jungkook asked the angel.
"I was just scared shitless, but yeah, I'm good," he replied sarcastically, dropping down on the bed behind him.
Jungkook giggled as he lay down beside him. "You did good," he grinned, "they just need time to get to know you."
Taehyung glanced at him. "But how much time do we have? That's the big question here."
They both fell silent, not knowing what to say to that. But it was true: Taehyung was right. They didn't have a lot of time together, and they could impossibly know when they had to slip apart, but it made them treasure every second they had with each other. Jungkook fell asleep in the angel's arms whom stayed awake the night, protecting the younger with his embrace.
It was Saturday, and Taehyung was still with Jungkook all the time to his house. Jungkook's parents had gotten used to him, and they even expected him all the time as they made dinner enough for everyone, and bought extra sheets for the male so he and the younger one wouldn't wake up the next morning without the duvet, freezing because the other stole it.
But this weekend, Jungkook wanted to do something memorable, and so he asked Taehyung out on a date. Of course he accepted, but he didn't tell him what they were doing, and that it was a surprise. He asked for his mother's advice, whom gave him lots of good ideas, and so he found the perfect date for the two males.
"Come on, can't you just tell me?" the elder whined as he was blindfolded on their way as Mr Jeon drove them to the special place Jungkook had set up.
"I want it to be a surprise," the younger whispered in his ear. And just a few minutes later they arrived to the said place Jungkook planned for.
"Is this...a bowling hall?" the angel asked as his eyes went wide as they were shining beautifully. He had told the younger one he wanted to try bowling, and he had apparently taken him seriously for giving him the opportunity to do it at least once on Earth.
"And we're doing something later after two rounds here as well," he grinned with a wink.
Taehyung's smile grew wider. "What more have you planned?" he asked excitedly.
"That you'll see later as well."
Taehyung pouted cutely. "You and your secrets." But he was so overjoyed he didn't mind. He had always wanted to try out bowling. Of course when the two males started, he really sucked, and Jungkook even had to teach him the basics so he'd at least throw the heavy ball towards the pins without falling on his bum. He did manage to get a pretty good score for two rounds only, although Jungkook nailed him and got over a hundred points. He didn't even seem to try to let the angel win just for sympathy.
When they headed for the other destination, they only seemed to have to walk, but this time Taehyung didn't need to be blindfolded - he didn't really know the area anyways, only in Jungkook's neighbourhood and the way to their school. But when a building came into sight with many big windows, revealing a big court that was filled with ice and some people inside, seeming to fly over the ground, it made Taehyung's jaw drop.
"Is that what I think it is?" he asked, not tearing his eyes away from the windows, eventually coming up close and he saw the people insides were skating over the ice. "Oh my Father," he muttered breathlessly. "Jungkookie!" he nearly cried in happiness, "this is perfect!"
Jungkook chuckled at the happy angel. "Saved the best for last." He grabbed the elder's hand and dragged him with him inside. They put on some fitting ice skating shoes, and so went out on the ice. Of course the human was experienced and could move around freely, but the angel had a hard time adjusting, which literally made the description of a deer on ice fit him perfectly.
"Taehyungie hyung, watch me," Jungkook said as he grabbed his hands to help him support, and showed him how to stand properly, even moving around. "See? Not that hard."
Taehyung stared at him concentrated, but he was still overjoyed. He loved the experience. Going ice skating was his number one on his bucket list, which he and his boyfriend had a talk over a few days ago.
"Look, Jungkookie!" Taehyung suddenly started yelling with a massive grin on his face, "look, I'm ice skating! And without any support!" He laughed like a crazy person, absolutely loving the fact he mastered the skill without falling again, which made the younger male clap his hand proudly.
"Good job hyung!" he yelled back, smiling adoringly at the angel as he moved rather awkwardly around, but he still managed to stay on his feet. As he watched him, he couldn't help but to think of himself as a lucky human. Having Taehyung by his side really made him happy, and he for once loved every second of it.
After spending about two hours in the ice skating indoors area, they grew tired with their low stamina, and so they went back home again. Before they entered the house, Jungkook turned around to face his angel boyfriend.
"How did you like our first date?" he asked with a grin.
Taehyung could only grin back. "It was," he started, leaning closer to give the younger whom stood on the first step on their porch, becoming almost a head taller than the angel himself and kissed him, "perfect. Everything, absolutely perfect."
Jungkook felt warm on the inside. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," he said as he held loving around Taehyung's shoulder, kissing him passionately. "I love you Taehyungie hyung."
"I love you, Jeon Jungkook."
Someone had cleared their throats, and it was Mr Jeon standing by their open window as he stood in the kitchen, which was right beside the entrance door. "Sorry to interrupt boys," he said a bit sternly, "I hope you enjoyed yourself, but please don't stand outside here alone in the dark." They giggled to themselves, but still entered. They were about to go up to Jungkook's room with their hands intertwined, but Mr Jeon stopped the angel. "Could I please talk to you for a moment?"
Taehyung glanced over at Jungkook, whom just nodded back, letting go of his hand and went upstairs first. "What's up Mr Jeon?" he asked curiously.
"I want to let you know that if you'd ever hurt my son, you won't be seeing the nice side of me," he suddenly said all seriously.
"I'd never want to hurt Jungkookie," he replied, "my job is to care and protect him."
"Your job?" Mr Jeon asked with a slight frown.
"My heart tells me to protect him at all costs, and so it's my job to do everything for him," he clarified, leaving out the details of him being an angel.
"Even if it meant the best for him if you had to leave one day?" the man asked.
Taehyung hesitated. "If it was the best for Jungkook, then yes. Everything for him." He didn't like the question one bit, but he still had to answer his human's father's question. He had the right after all.
"Good," Mr Jeon said, smiling a bit, "I'm glad he has you who cares a lot about him then. I'm sorry about before, and I wish the two of you my best wishes, Kim Taehyung."
Taehyung grinned up at him. "Thank you so much, Mr Jeon."
