"So, are you interested?"

Marinette frowns, rubbing her eyes. She's only been up for twenty minutes, her mum came up and told her to get dressed quickly. She's barely been listening to what Bob Roth has said.

"Uh, wait, wait, wait," Marinette says, trying to recollect what he had said. "You want... to interview me about Jagged Stone's last album?"

"That's right," Bob says. He seems mildly annoyed to be here, as though thinking that Jagged should have sent someone of less importance. "And one last thing. We're in a hurry. We need an album cover proposal by tomorrow morning, to be displayed at the interview. You up to it?"

Marinette nods, wondering if she's volunteering too hastily. She barely notices her phone buzz in her pocket.

"Um, sure!"

Bob Roth stays a bit longer, giving her parents the details of the time and location of the interview. After telling Marinette the album title, and that the style should be similar to the last album, he buys a croissant and leaves the bakery. The moment he's gone, Tom begins to celebrate.

"My little girl, a famous album cover designer!"

"Not famous," Marinette objects. "It's one interview."

"Two album covers for a famous star," Tom beams. "Everyone starts with one interview! I'm so proud of you!"

Marinette grins.

"I'd better go start," she laughs, and heads back upstairs. She opens her drawing software, before she realises just how long it's been since she's used it. Almost a year ago, to draw the album cover art for Jagged's last album.

Since then, she's just been using Miraculous.

She decides against using Miraculous for this album, telling herself that if she accidentally clicks public, it becomes very obvious who she is in real life. And she doesn't want to betray Jagged's trust by accidentally releasing it early. Obviously.

She doesn't let herself think that it might be because she doesn't want to use Miraculous without ChatNoir.

She opens a new canvas, and begins to draw. The room is deadly silent, apart from the slight scratching of the pen on the drawing tablet, and she pulls out her phone to play the music from Jagged's last album.

It's then that she finally sees the notification, the buzz from when Bob was talking to her. A notification with the oh-so-familiar logo of Miraculous.

You have a new message!

She clicks it, tapping in her password, and the screen shifts to reveal Private Messaging, and her conversation with ChatNoir.

ChatNoir: u up for drawing?

Marinette glances up at the bare beginnings of the album cover on her laptop, at the message, then back at the album cover before she makes her decision, sighs, and types out her reply.

LadyBug: im so sorry, chatnoir, but something came up literally just this morning and it needs to be ready by this time tomorrow

LadyBug: you can start if u want

ChatNoir: np, you do you. ill wait until you're available

Marinette is swarmed with guilt.

LadyBug: no, im serious. u can do this one, i dont want you having to miss out because of me. go right ahead

ChatNoir: its okay ill wait for you

LadyBug: just start!!!!!!

ChatNoir: fine, u win. ill start

She grins in victory, turns her music on, and begins to draw. It's easy, since Bob Roth had given her the album title, to draw it with the music.

Around lunchtime, she changes her mind, and redesigns the entire album cover. Considering she's going to be presenting this on TV, she wants the best design possible.

Her phone buzzes.

ChatNoir: im done, if u want to check.

Marinette checks the time. It's almost time for dinner, and she wanted an early night before the interview the following morning.

LadyBug: its ok, i trust you XD. feel free to publish

ChatNoir: sure?

LadyBug: yeah yeah, go ahead. thank you!!

ChatNoir: no problem, mlady

The interview the next morning is a blast. Jagged, seeing the album before the interview begins, gets to see the album cover. He's downright ecstatic with it, which is just what Marinette needs. The praise makes her confident, and Marinette finds herself replying to the interviewer without stuttering, explaining why she chose every element of the design. Every colour, every shade, every single element of the design. She's so glad she changed it, so glad she decided to make every single part mean something.

When she gets home, her phone is blowing up with Alya and her classmates messaging her. They demand to know all about the interview, what it was like to casually chat with Jagged Stone, what it was like for him to praise her artwork and why she didn't tell them she was designing the new album cover. Someone complains that she didn't tell them about the interview and had to go watch it on rewatch, but the messages are coming through so fast it's gone before she sees who it is.

She goes to bed beaming.

Adrien sits in his room, on his laptop. He stares at the episode in front of him. Troublemaker, the episode he's created without LadyBug.

She insisted. She insisted that he create the episode without her, thinking he messaged her because he wanted to draw.

He messaged her because he wanted to draw with her. To relish every single episode before the ending comes around.

It's coming far sooner than he would like.

He considers deleting it all, telling LadyBug that Miraculous glitched.

He sighs, and clicks Post.
