Marinette groans to herself as she opens Miraculous. She's still surprised when she sees ChatNoir is active, even though he always is. She can't help wondering if he's creating his own comic.

ChatNoir: afternoon, mlady

The message brings a smile to Marinette's face.

LadyBug: hey chat. i've got an akuma idea

The reply, as usual, is instantaneous.

ChatNoir: can't wait to hear it!!!

Marinette can't help smiling as she types. She trusts ChatNoir to give her an honest answer.

LadyBug: i was going to andre's ice cream place today with some friends. unfortunately, the guy i like wasn't there, and i was disappointed so i was kind of horrible to andre.

ChatNoir: it's okay, ladybug. everyone is grumpy some days, and im sure andre understands that. tomorrow is a brand new day.

LadyBug: what would i do without u

ChatNoir: crash and burn, probably. ice cream episode?

Marinette laughs, and it's a relief after her friends were disappointed in her outburst. She clicks The Adventures of Tikki and Plagg, and sees that ChatNoir has already made a new episode.

She considers writing the same message. What would I do without you.

She's never considered it. Never considered making TP without ChatNoir.

She lets ChatNoir draw "her", and laughs. Red hair and green eyes.

LadyBug: quick tip, chaton: looks nothing like me whatsoever XD

ChatNoir: trial and error, mlady

Marinette laughs, and starts drawing the akuma. She's almost an expert at it now, drawing the villainous purple butterflies that soar through the sky and turn people into supervillains.

She has a sudden memory of when she was younger, and for her birthday, she'd been allowed to make an ice-cream man and eat it all. It had almost been bigger than her head, and had taken two weeks to finish.

ChatNoir: damn that ice cream man looks delicious

LadyBug: i made one for my fifth birthday. took two weeks to eat XD

ChatNoir: JEALOUSY 100

Marinette grins as she keeps drawing. Draws Tikki using her Lucky Charm, a propeller. ChatNoir adds the text. "A propeller? What am I supposed to do with this?"

LadyBug: classic line, just classic

ChatNoir: we should make posters XD

LadyBug: i know a few people who would put them up

Alya, for once. Probably Chloe too, she loves LadyBug. Actually, now she thinks about it, almost everyone in her class would want one.

Adrien?

ChatNoir: i'm one of them. 110% want one of those posters

Marinette laughs, and keeps drawing. It takes a few hours before she finishes, and the two publish Glaciator.

"Marinette? Are you coming down for dinner?"

"Coming!" Marinette hollers, and messages ChatNoir.

LadyBug: sorry, gtg

She doesn't read his reply, too busy eating her dinner.

"Slow down, honey, you're going to choke," Sabine says. "Are you in a rush?"

Marinette considers saying yes, before she realises that this would mean she can't keep eating, and nods her head. It takes barely ten minutes for her to finish, and she puts her plate in the kitchen before grabbing her purse.

"Where are you going?" Sabine calls after her daughter.

"Pont des Arts!" Marinette calls back, praying that that is where she's going. "I'll be back soon!"

Sabine doesn't press the matter, but Marinette is pretty sure she will when her daughter gets home.

Doo doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo doo

Her phone, ringing from inside her purse. Marinette ignores it as she mounts the bridge. She sighs in relief. He's still here.

"Hello, Andre," Marinette says hesitantly, slowing down. It's impossible for her not to visualise Glaciator, even for a second.

"Hey, Marinette," he says. "Can I interest you in some ice cream? To eat, this time?"

Marinette can't help feeling guilty.

"Of course," she says. "How else would I know if your ice cream is truly the best in Paris?"

Andre smiles as he serves her ice cream.

"Peach pink like his lips and mint green like his eyes!" he sings, handing her the ice cream. Marinette tastes it.

"It's delicious!"

"Do you still think it doesn't lock two loves together?" Andre asks. When she looks up at him, there's the unspoken apology in her eyes.

"Never say never," she smiles. "Thank you, Andre."

"See you again soon," Andre replies, and Marinette sits on the steps on the other side of the bridge as she eats her ice cream. The missed call is from Adrien, but she doesn't call back. Goodness knows she'd only make a fool of herself. The only other notification is a reply from ChatNoir.

ChatNoir: all good. i have to go too, actually. apology to make

Marinette frowns, guilty. There was her, complaining about her problems, and ChatNoir had his own to worry about.

LadyBug: you okay, chat?

ChatNoir: nothing for you to worry about, mlady. i missed a hangout with my friends. ive apologised to them, but im afraid i could have offended someone i dont have the number for. im going there now, bye

Marinette doesn't reply, concentrating on eating her ice cream. On the other side of the bridge, Adrien's bodyguard parks the car and Adrien climbs out.

"Hello, sir," he says to Andre. "I'm so sorry, I was planning on coming earlier, but I wasn't able to. I'd love an ice cream, please."

"Of course!" Andre says. "Strawberry with black chocolate chip! Blackberries for her hair, and blueberry ice-cream just like her sky blue stare!"

"Is your ice cream really magical?" Adrien asks, thinking about LadyBug. Thinking about how he's determined to always be there for her, and always has Miraculous open on his phone in case she messages him.

"What do you think?"

"I think you have to believe," Adrien replies. Andre smiles as he hands the boy the ice cream.

"Spot on, son. Enjoy!"

"Thank you," Adrien says, and he sits on the other side of the bridge as he eats his ice cream.

He can believe.
