Jess was sitting on the couch with Shelby, Max and Ross. It's was almost ten and they were all going to call it a night, it had been a long day, finishing unpacking and such. Just as Jess was about to fall asleep on Ross's shoulder her phone started to ring. She jerked up and tried to rub the tired from her eyes. "Hey Adam" she said yawning. "Hey babe are you waiting up?" Adam asked, 'babe?' She thought to herself. "Yeah, you were suppose to be home a hour ago babe" she said 'why did I say babe?'. "Go to bed, I won't be home for a little while yet" He said, the lift in the corners of her mouth faded. "I'll tell the others and wait up for you" she said, he smiled behind the phone t the suggestion but knew it was best if she got some sleep. "Nonsense, get some sleep Jessie" he said, she sighed. "Fine but come see me when you get home" she said, he knew he wasn't arguing himself out of this one...

He walked through the door quietly, it had been long night, traffic was a bitch and now it was almost 1 am... strangley he wasn't tired. He remembered his promise to Jess so he headed to her door, he opened it slowly expecting her to be sleeping but he admired how her laptop lit up her face. Her favourite blanket draped over he crossed legs and hair hanging over her left shoulder one ear bud in her right. "You should be sleeping" he wisphers. She looks up at him, she smiles and waves him in. "Hi" she says quietly. He tosses his jacket and bag on the floor. "Hey" he wisphered back, she closed her laptop and takes out her ear bud... scotting closer to Adam.
