Instead of telling her father like she promised Jack, Lara has been doing her utmost best to avoid him. Constantly stay in "Sophie's" (code for Jack's) trailer or just "being too tired to talk" after shooting. With filming coming to a close soon, Lara's finding it harder and harder as she has a lot of scenes with both Jack and Cillian.
It's been easier than she thought but the sight of Tom Hardy staring her down in costume scared Lara shitless, "Ah! FUCKING HELL!" She screamed and he just hardened his gaze.
"You and me, we've got to talk." Lara turned a painful shade of red at the tone of his voice... being scolded has never gone well for her.
"Wh- what? About what?"
Tom shook his head, "How you've been ignoring your father, he's rather hurt you know?" Lara stared at the ground in shame as Tom approached her, "Now, I'm your honorary God Father, which means you're gonna tell me what shite you've gotten yourself into this time, Ms. Lara Jean." The middle name drop makes her cringe silently, hoping he'd just drop it.
"I can't tell you."
"Can't tell me?!" He bellowed, "The fuck does that mean?"
Lara gave him an incredulous look, "That I can't tell you? At least not before I get the bollocks to tell my dad..."
"Yea, you've best talk to him. He's down in the dumps since you've been ignoring him."
She scratched her head with a nod, "I know... I know. I will. Just been trying to find the right words is all."

Despite his emotionless appearance in interviews and in public, Cillian Murphy feels quite a lot. Especially regarding his daughter. They've always been close so he's not used to not speaking to her outside of work for less than ten minutes a day. When Lara entered the flat an hour later than usual, he was prepared to confront her.
"What the fuck, Lara?" Her eyes were wide at his tone of voice, Cillian's not one to yell but he's not in a gaming mood. "Why have you been avoiding me? I thought we were on good terms."
"We are dad," She states with a smile, hoping to get past him and into her room. The lies were building up, Sophie wouldn't help her anymore and none of the boys knew of the growing relationship between Jack and Lara. "I haven't been avoiding–"
Cillian shook his head, "Don't give me that shite, I know you have been. And I fucking hate it."
Lara felt horrible, her dad sounded seriously hurt due to her neglecting him. "I'm sorry." She whispered, not wanting to hear her own voice. "I would say I didn't mean to ignore you but... I did." Lara cringed at admitting the fact of the matter. That for nearly a week, she's ignored her father outside of filming.
"Why? What did I do?"
"Nothing... it's my fault– and don't say I'm just saying that to look good. It is my fault... I've been ignoring you because I'm afraid you'll hate me... and because I can't lie to you."
Cillian paused, thinking about what she just said, "Why would I ever hate you, Lara? You're my daughter, I could never!" He leaned on the counter with a flabbergasted expression.
The sigh that left her lips was loud, "I know," Lara pushed her hair behind her ear, "It's just... your opinion is the most important opinion to me. No matter what the world says, if you say the opposite, then I'll respect what you say and ignore fuck all the world has to say."
"You curse like your mother..." Lara tensed at the mention of her mum. "Except you curse for fun, she'd curse to shut my arse up."
Lara chuckled, "Dad, just promise you'll only be mad at me."
"I won't be mad, just don't call me a cunt again."
"That was not my fault." Lara pointed out before taking a deep breath, she stared at the countertop, gnawing on her lip intently. "I kissed Jack after we went to lunch," The flat became uncomfortably silent as Lara waited for her dad to say something. "Please say something–"
He shook his head, "What do you want me to say?"
She shrugged, "I dunno... anything really. If you're mad please tell me, I'll... I'll tell him I'm not interested in him–"
"Are you?"
Lara shrugged her shoulders again, "I– I think I am."
"And that's fine," A giant smile appeared on his daughter's face, she hugged Cillian tightly, knocking the breath out of him. "It's like we always say, Lara. It's me and you against the world, right?" Cillian pressed a kiss to the top of her head and her grip tightened once more.
"Right."
