"If you don't shut up, I'll crash the car," Lara hit the turn signal as she slowed to a stop at a red light. "So... how's it going with Mr. Kirton."

Harrison rolled his eyes, "What the fuck is up with you Brits and calling people by their last names?!"

"I dunno... it's mostly my thing, but whatever. Has anything happened over your extended stay in the great land of England?" Harrison shrugged.

"Not really, I think he's scared to be even a little bit gay. How's things with you and Jack?"

Lara made a choking noise, "I think I like him."

"HA! I called it!" He cheered loudly, throwing his fist in the air.

She slowed down as she drove into the full parking garage, she handed the security the fare and the pair found somewhere to park. Lara turned to Harrison with a pout, "I wish you didn't have to leave."

Harry nods, "It'll be fine. You can visit me when you're done filming."

"I'm going to miss you," She stated lowly, eyes casting downward.

"Hey, it's gonna be alright. You're always gonna be my Lara Croft to my Indiana Jones, even if that's not how it works." She smiled at Harrison brightly, "Now help me get my shit out of the trunk so we can hug for real."

Lara jumped out of the car and once Harrison had his luggage out of the back, she hugged him tightly. "I love you."

"Love you more, I'll text you once I've landed for the details of your date with Rowan!!" And he was off.

Lara tapped her fingers on the table nervously... Jack went to the bathroom and since then she's been trying to muster up the courage to tell him how she felt. When her phone buzzed, she glanced down at the screen and saw it was from her dad. 'Where have you run off to this time?'

She shook her head at Cillian's concern and quickly texted him back, 'Lunch with Jack, we need to get to know each other before we have to film anything weird.' The seventeen-year-old just shrugged and hit send, knowing Cillian would be angrier if she lied to him.

The TacoBell was surprisingly empty, but Lara was secretly glad. The less likely she's to be seen in public, the happier she is. Despite loving her life, being in the spotlight since you're a child is a difficult feeling. Lara could hear her heart beating loudly in her ears due to her anxiety about the whole situation.

Jack made his way back to the booth only to find Lara groaning into the table, "You alright?"

Upon hearing his voice, Lara perked up immediately, "Yea! Of course," She forced the crack in her voice down so he wouldn't worry. "So... I think we should talk," Lara spoke slowly so as to stop herself from tripping over her words. It's a horrible tendency, both she and Cillian have the same problem.

Whenever they're feeling intense emotion, they beginning stuttering and struggling to speak properly. Lara often slips into her Irish accent since she's got a strange mix between English and Irish going on. When she's angry she sounds a lot like her father, when she's in a good mood she sounds like any other British gal.

The young man across from Lara nodded in agreement, "That sounds like a good idea... you know, all things considered..." The duo blushed in sync, Lara tried to hide behind her hands but Jack shook his head, "Don't worry, I'm not going to call you out for blushing... unlike you."

"Hey! That was one time!" Lara refutes and Jack scoffs loudly, "But seriously, I've got to tell you something. I uh, I think that–"

"Order for Jack!?" The woman at the front shouted and Jack jumped up to get it.

"I'll be right back, Miss Murphy." Lara let out a deep breath she'd been unaware of holding. She leaned back in the booth and shook her head at herself.

She felt as though she was acting like a child, let's be honest, she's younger than most... but she's more mature than most her age. "Fuck." She cursed under her breath as Jack brought a tray of food back to their booth.

He smiled brightly at Lara and she found herself at a loss of words for a moment, enjoying the sight of the twinkle in his light brown eyes, "Okay," Jack stated once they situated their food, "Continue."

Instead of admitting her feelings during lunch, Lara decided to put it off until the pair was walking through a park, "I lied earlier." She muttered quickly and Jack's eyebrows raised in question. "When I said what I said... I was supposed to say something else but I got scared."

"I won't judge you, if that's what you're worried about." His voice was tender as he bumped his shoulder against Lara's, a tiny smile graced her face. Their pace was slow and steady and they fell into a comfortable silence before Jack saw a bright red blush on her cheeks. "What're you thinking about, Lara?"

"Nothing–" She said quickly... too quickly.

Jack's eyes narrowed as he smirked mischievously, Lara almost immediately got the message and bolted. Jack and Lara often ran around set, seeing if they could evade one another. Whoever got caught the previous time would chase the other at a random time. It kept their hearts racing.

Lara squealed when Jack nearly caught her, but she sidestepped him and hid behind a tree. The game was childish but they got the rest of the day off, why shouldn't they have some fun? Lara muffled her heaving breaths with her hand. The park was empty besides them, it was raining earlier so everyone was inside.

The tree Lara pressed her back up against was damp and she could feel water droplets falling onto her head from the leaves above. She listens for Jack but doesn't seem to hear him... that's not how the game worked. She takes a step forward and the crunch of a stick sounds, Lara glances around and doesn't see anything.

She runs behind another tree and squeezes her eyes shut, "Please don't find me, please don't find me." She repeated in a very low whisper.

Heat fanned across her face, "Found you." Jack stood in front of her, arms on the tree, caging her in.

Lara's ears turned red this time, "Shit."

"So... you going to tell me what's been bothering you or keep beating around the bush?"

The close proximity gave Lara a whiff of Jack's cologne and a perfect view of his almost green eyes. She had to lift her head to look him properly in the eyes as she nodded, "I like you, Jack." Saying the words was harder than she thought, she kept biting her tongue before she just spat them out slowly so he could absorb the information quickly.
