AN: Sorry for the cliffhanger and then leaving you guys waiting this long! Omg I can't believe how evil that is but here is chapter 3! I'll try and make it super long :)

Peeta. No I think. It can't be him but I'd know that head of blonde hair anywhere. I can't think straight right now. I can't even think of Peeta becuase what is in his hands is all too precious. A bush of primroses are being planted along the path. Sadness and anger rush through me. I miss Prim so badly my heart physically hurts to think about her at times. But as for the anger its torwards Haymitch. Did he know he was back? If so how long?

I slip back inside and carefully close the door. I need to start on dinner for Haymitch and I. I'll confront him about Peeta then. I skin and clean up the carcass and let it cook. Its done within the hour and I place the meat on a dish. I didn't feel up to making the meat let alone anything else. Haymitch will have to be satisfied with that. I head up to my bedroom and change into more comfortable clothing.

Its a few minutes past 5 and I hear a shout from downstairs. Haymitch has never been one to knock. I trudge downstairs see him standing in the doorway. "We need to talk before the food" is the first thing he utters as he gestures torward the sitting area. I swallow and follow him. We sit on the couch. I just stare at him emotionless.

"You saw the boy didn't you.." he says as if reading the one thing on my mind. "You knew..how long?" I mutter. "I found out after our conversation earlier and I went to pick him up from the train station as soon as I got the call." He says. They must have gotten back while I was talking with Aurelius. It makes since now. "Katniss this was the soonest I could tell you. I have been on the phone since I got him back. His main doctor from the Capitol had to inform me about all kinds of different things. I'm sorry.." he explains. "Haymitch..lets just go eat. I'm not mad" I whisper. I am mad.

We walk to the kitchen. He looks at his watch and begins to tap his foot. "I know you're mad Katniss and I don't blame you but I have a suprise for you so you better put on a smile and fast" he says and as if a timer goes off there is a small knock on the door. He lets a breath go and looks to me. He can tell I'm not going to move so he stands and exits the kitchen to get the door.

I can barely hear Haymitch greet someone at the door. Haymitch re-enters and right behind him is Peeta holding a tray with aluminum foil over it. I don't know what to do in that moment. Cry. Scream. Run.  Peeta looks so much better than I could've imagined. It seems as if I can only stare and if I blink he'd be gone.

"Peeta" I barley whisper. His face seems to have a million emotions in it. Love. Fear. Sadness. The list goes on. Neither of us speak. I can't think of anything to say. In this moment all I want is to be wrapped in his embrace and as if Haymitch knew..he pushes me forward.

Not another second passes before we have our arms around eachother with tears streaming down our faces. We sink to the ground not daring to losen the grip we have on eachother. Time freezes and everything around us appears to freeze as well. "I thought I'd never see you again" I sob. "Its you and me, together for always. You're the only light I've ever known Katniss" he says with shaken words. 

There were some things the Capitol just couldn't touch. Peeta's way with words was one of them. Haymitch has been very patient and for that I'm thankful. We all sit down and eat. Peeta's presence is comforting and the whole time during dinner I forgot that I didn't have my nightmare pills. Haymitch left 5 minutes ago and its just Peeta and I. He is doing the dishes while I clear off the table. I appreciate the help. I don't want him to leave. He is all I want. He is all I have. I need him.

AN: Hope that was longer than my other chapters! I enjoyed writing it! I threw a few AHS quotes in that I felt fit well. Let me know what you guys thought of this chapter or any ideas you might have for chapter 4!
