The sun hasn't yet come up when I wake up. I just want to lay in bed all day but then I remember my deal with Dr. Aurelius and slip out of bed. I throw the sheets back to where they look somewhat made up and head to the bathroom. I'm still clean since I showered last night so i just brush my teeth then head into my closet.

I grab an old grey shirt and black pants with my father's old boots and hunting jacket then walk back into the bathroom to get my hairbrush. I brush through it and decide to leave in down instead of in its signature braid. I head downstairs to call Dr. Aurelius but I decide not to let him know I'm going out now. I go to the front door and its barley light out. I open the door and begin my walk to the meadow and then the woods.

I slowly approach the meadow and something catches my eye. Something most people wouldn't notice. Theres not a fence anymore of course but you can still see where it once sat. Right in front of the line of dirt sits a bright yellow dandelion. The first day of spring is here I think to myself.

The sun persist in rising so I decide its time to go back. I only shot a rabbit. Im not hungry so I feel guilty for taking the life of an innocent creature when I don't plan on eating it. Before the games I had a reason. Today I suppose I had one too but not anything regarding my survival.

As I approach Victors Village I notice the sun is already completely up now. Haymitch sits on his porch and walks torward me as if he had been waiting. I see he has a shocked look on his face. "Didn't expect you to be out today. I've been wanting some meat" Haymitch says. I guess now I do have a good reason to have shot this. "Sure, if you wanna come by for dinner around 5 then thats fine I guess" I say quickly without thought. "Great see you then" he says and heads back into his house.

I go in and toss my things down on the couch and set the rabbit carcass on the counter. My phone starts ringing in the hall and I asume it must be Dr. Aurelius. I pick up and my suspicions were confirmed.

"Hello Katniss, how are you?" He asks. "Fine I actually just got back from hunting." I inform him. "Well Katniss thats wonderful but I have some news..." he says with a change of tone. "Go ahead.." I reply. "Alright, well I did in fact get your medication on one of the trains like I promised but I was just told that the train with your pills had a problem and its currently stopped in district 6 being repaired. I can assure you that the train will be up and running by later tonight but it appears you won't be getting your pills today. My greatest apologies Katniss" he says. I sigh and feel the tears dwelling in my eyes threatening to escape. "Its fine" i say and immediately hang up.

I slump to the wall and hold it together as much as I can and go to my front door. I need some air i think. I blink back tears again and take a deep breath as I decide to go for a small walk around the village but my heart stops as I see something I thought was gone forever.
