Chapter One

The day has come. As soon as the sun touched the horizon, Jungkook's anxiety shot through his body like a bullet train. He feared to hear those words. Those terrible terrible words.

"Welcome home Honey!"

His father is home.

All the chatter and joy sounding through the house from downstairs.

"Welcome back Daddy!"

"How was the trip Father?"

"Any new deals?"

"Did you buy the perfume I asked for, Father?"

He heard his fathers deep chuckle before replying to his large family. Then he heard his father mutter a series of words that made him tense up.

"Where's Jeong-guk?"

Everything was quiet until he heard a soft knock on his door.

"Yes?" He said choking back tears.

"Father wants you," Irene whispered behind the door.

"You must tell him, Jungkook. Otherwise, we'll do it for you."

Jungkook took in a sharp breath before standing up and sliding his slippers on walking to the door and opening it quickly.

Irene looked at him, her eye brows furrowed as she frowned.

"You look terrible. Are you that worried Father will make us move?"

Jungkook shook his head, "If we move, it's all my fault! I feel as bad as I look noona."

He sniffled and she sighed, "We have no power now. Just tell him, Koo."

He nodded then walked past her downstairs. His father was on his big singular sofa chair. His mother sitting on the arm of the chair. His 6 siblings sitting on the couches to the left and right of his chair. He walked in front of his father.

"Jeong-guk, my boy. How have you been?"

Jungkook fell to his knees and held back his cries.

"I'm so sorry, Father! Forgive me please!" He shrieked as he kneeled before his father. His father chuckled.

"What are you talking about?"

He looked around to everyone, "What is he talking about?"

"Father, I went to a party. Without my knowledge, the party host had drugs in the house. Cocaine was in the house."

His father stared down at him as his mother massaged his shoulders.

"Cocaine? You went. To a FUCKING PARTY WITH COCAINE?! JEON JEONG-GUK WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

Jungkook stiffened as he cried looking down. His hands in fists as they rested on his thighs. He shook as he cried.

"How many people know? How many know you were there? Hmm? Answer me boy!"

Jungkook shook as he answer, "I don't know, Father! I'm sorry! I didn't know!"

"What if they drugged you?! Huh?!"

"I'm sorry, Father! Please!"

His father stomped his foot before yelling, "Fuck!"

"Dear, relax please."

Jungkook looked up still crying, "Please don't make us move again!"

His fathers face twisted, "Of course we're moving."

All the siblings gasped and groaned. The twins whispered, "No."

Jungkook cries harder. He shook his head aggressively as he crawled to his father.

"Please! Everyone loves it here. It's my mistake!"

His father looked away as his mother held Jungkook's cheek, "Your father has decided. Go pack. Everyone, go pack."

Everyone moved from their spot and began to pack their belongings. Except Jungkook. Irene walked over and picked Jungkook up from the floor and took him to his room.

"I'll call the moving company. Where are we going anyway?"

Mr. Jeon sat and thought for a while, "Busan."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Seriously?"
The blonde boy nodded with a huge boxy smile on his face.
"Can you believe that? After you broke up with her, she came to me and Lisa asking how to get you back."
"Did you tell her I'm gay?"
"I did, she said you're just confused. I've never wanted to laugh harder in my life."
"Gosh Tae."
"Anyway, next week marks our senior year! Are you excited?"
"Not really," Jimin sighed as he fluffed his orange hair while pushing his glasses up.
"Just means more bullies, less talking, and more chances of Jennie and Rosé being in our classes."
Taehyung sighed, "At least there's a chance we have most classes together."
"There's also a chance we'll have none."
"What will you do if that happens."
Jimin shrugged, "Cry duh. I'd have to write down my answers to the teacher. I've been 'mute' for this long."
Taehyung sighed, "Why won't you talk now? It's been so long. It can't be the same reason as before?"
"Well, since 8th grade, when I was actually mute, I've been known as the 'mute freak' so why talk now?"
"You still sign or write stuff down for the teachers. But don't they know you're not mute?"
Jimin nodded as he threw some popcorn into his mouth. Just then Tae's little sister walked into his room.
"TaeTae, mama said if Jimin isn't sleeping over, he needs to go home."
Taehyung groaned, "Is it safe to go home for you?"
Jimin sighed, "It's never truly safe. Some moments are safer than others. But, my dad should be asleep, my mom's probably high and my sister might be waiting for me in my room. So, I'll go home."
Taehyung frowned then leaned over and hugged his best friend's waist, "Okay! Be safe baby!"
Jimin laughed then hugged his friend back, "Okay, my love."
"Come here daughter!" Jimin smiled as Lisa walked over and hugged him.
"Ugh! Come back soon!"
"Of course. I won't leave my babies for too long."
He kissed them both on the forehead before getting up. Grabbing his phone and backpack, "See y'all later."
He waved at the blonde siblings before leaving Taehyung's room.
He walked past Mrs. Kim who was drinking a cup of coffee.
"Goodnight, Mrs. Kim."
"Ah, goodnight, Jimin."
The walk home was quiet and cool. It was relaxing and made Jimin dread going home.
Once he approached the front door he turned the knob. Opening it. The door was unlocked like always. The only reason the door is ever locked is when Jimin comes home and locks it.
He walked in and shut the door. He turned around and saw a really buff dude leaving one of the bedrooms downstairs where Nayeon 'deals' with all her men.
"Oh? Hey there sexy. Why don't we have some fun?"
Jimin panicked. The man pinned him to the door.
"Uh, excuse me. Please."
Jimin tried to move before the man darted forward to try and kiss him. Jimin pushed the man's chest and screamed.
"Get away from me!"
Nayeon ran out and shouted, "Hey! Josh! Leave him alone! He's not someone you can use."
The man named Josh backed away from Jimin. Jimin scurried behind his older sister as the man scoffed then opened the door.
"See you next week Nayeon," the man bit his lip looking Jimin up and down before leaving.
"Why must those guys come to our house?"
Nayeon sighed before she turned around, "Well, Josh, is my boss. I refused to be on the streets and I want to be with you baby bro. So all of them, including him, come here. I'm sorry babe."
Jimin pouted as he pushed up his glasses, "I'mma go take a shower. Come Monday, I start school as a senior."
"Do you want me to take you?"
Jimin quickly shook his head, "I'm fine. Lisa and Tae will walk with me like normal."
He smiled as he walked upstairs. He was immediately thrown to the ground.
"Where the fuck have you been?"
"At the Kim's."
His mother scoffed, "You're at their house as if it's your own. We're your family!"
"Yeah well, they treat me better. Actually feed me. And have legal jobs to pay for their house and belongings legally."
His mother huffed before slapping him. "I gave you life."
He stood up removing his glasses, "That you let dad almost take on more then one occasion."
He walked to his room, "Your father loves you, Jimin."
"Well, I have scars, memories, and trama that says otherwise."
Jimin shut his bedroom door before throwing his backpack down and flopping on his bed.
"I wish someone could just sweep me away from this place. I hate it here!"
He sat up and took a shower. Careful to not get his wounds wet. The ones on his back a little harder to do so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The ride to Busan was quiet. Joy and Jisoo cooing to their older brother. Telling him they'd be fine. Telling him father will get over it.

"Come on oppa, it's fine."

"I'm so sorry," Jungkook repeated for the 106th time. But who's counting? The twins, that's who.

"Stop saying sorry. What's done is done, Koo," Irene sighed looking out the window.

"I bet he won't be sorry after we get back to Busan and finds himself a girl," Yoongi scoffed with Hoseok laughing with him.

"Shut it. Just be quiet please," Seokjin complained as he sat back closing his eyes and sighing.

"Jeong-guk, you aren't allowed to go to any parties for the next month. If you do, you're on lockdown," his father's voice boomed throughout the car.

The whole car gasped.

"Lockdown?! Father! I didn't know anything about last party! Can't I just get grounded or something?"

His father shook is head, "Keep fighting me on this and you'll be on lockdown right now. "

The car filled with whispers.

You see, lockdowns in this military family are a serious and big thing. Mr. Jeon was a Sargeant in the military before he came back to his wife and became a CEO of his own company. He was determined to discipline his children. Lockdown has 4 levels. 1st lockdown means you can't leave the house for a month except for school without another family member. 2nd lockdown means you can't leave the house except for school at all for 3 months. 3rd lockdown means you can't roam the house freely. Everything is brought to you. The only place you can go on your own is the bathroom. There's a family member with you at all times. Especially at school. 4th lockdown. That's something thats only been executed once. That time was with Jungkook's oldest sister. They haven't heard from her in years. Not that she tries to talk to them.

Jungkook's eyes widened as he shut up and leaned back. Some days, he hated having a military family. Considering all the clubbing, fucking, and drinking he's done, he's pretty free for a Sargents son.

"My apologies, Father."

Joy rubbed Jungkook's arm, "It's only a month, bro."

Jungkook sighed then leaned back. He literally moved his entire family because of a party. He knew he wouldn't change. But, he did feel guilty. His younger sisters had made some really good friends. His older sister was taking designing classes. His oldest brother was taking cooking classes. His middle brothers were working on some projects with music. Jungkook? Well, considering he's the only person not reaching for a goal, he's the one to take his dad's place as CEO. But knowing Jungkook, the whole family knows it'll take an amazing wife, or the twins think, an amazing husband to make Jungkook stand up and be responsible enough to take his father's place. Because right now, he clearly isn't cable of such a position.

Once they arrived in front of the house, which took a long time. They began unpacking what they could fit in the car, bringing it into the house as they waited for the moving trucks. Their Golden Retriever, Sandy, and Great Dane, Jax, bolted out of the car barking as they ran to the door. Jungkook looked up at the house. It was bigger then their old house and had alot more land. While everyone was taking their things inside they heard a woman's voice.

"Excuse me! Are you the new neighbors? Hi, me and my two children live across the street," she smiled with her son next to her. Taller than her with a wide boxy smile.

Mr. Jeon smiled then walked to her and stuck his hand out.

"Jeon Minho."

"Kim Gigi," the woman smiled.

"And this is my son, Kim Taehyung."

He smiled then shook the young boy's hand.

"My daughter's back at home making dinner. Would you like to come over to have some?"

He let out a hearty laugh, "I don't think there'd be enough room."

Just then Mrs. Jeon walked over behind her husband.

"Queen, these are the Kims."

Mrs. Kim stuck her hand out, "Gigi."

"Queen."

Mrs. Kim's eyes bucked, "Oh? You're name is actually Queen?"

She smiled and nodded.

They got to talking before Jungkook saw them talking for a while. He stood on the porch with Sandy beside him.

"Mother! Father! Irene-noona and Seokjin-hyung want to know what to make for dinner!" He shouted to them on the sidewalk from the porch.

"We'll order take out!" His father shouted back.

Jungkook huffed as he turned back inside, Sandy following happily behind.

"You have 3 kids and a dog? Big family."

Mr and Mrs. Jeon laughed to each other.

"Oh no no no, we have 10 kids. 7 of them are with us right now. And we have 2 dogs," Mrs. Jeon answered with a smile.

"Are you raising an army?" Taehyung asked amazed Mrs. Jeon would bare so many children while his mother said she'd had enough with the two she had now.

"Well, I was in the military."

Taehyung's mouth dropped, "Wooow! Really?"

Mrs. Kim chuckled at her son.

"Minho. Why don't you, Queen and your children come to dinner with us at our house?"

"I couldn't," Mr. Jeon declined.

Right as Mrs. Kim was about to presue Mr. Jeon felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Father, Irene-noona said she doesn't want any fast food. Seokjin-hyung wants chicken. Hobi and Yoongi-hyung want pizza, and the twins want to have homemade food. Me? I want to finally be able to sit down."

Mr. Jeon sighed and laughed at his son.

"Gigi, Taehyung, this is my youngest son. Jeon Jeong-guk."

Jungkook turned to notice the mother and son before him. He took off his hood and pulled one of his earbuds out.

"Hi," he waved awkwardly.

"Tae, he looks to be about your age. How old are you?"

"Oh uh, I'm 18."

"He's the same age as you and Jimin. Maybe you two should walk him to school!"

Taehyung smiled and nodded before frowning, "But mama, you know he doesn't like being around a lot of people. Especially people he doesn't know."

"Oh no, it's fine. I'll just walk with my sisters like I always do. It's fine."

Mr. Jeon snorted, "You walk way ahead of your sisters."

"And how do you know that Father?"

"My baby girls have told me."

'Snitches!' Jungkook thought in his head.

Jungkook looked Taehyung up and down. Taehyung noticed and smiled, making a mental note to tell Jimin.

"Father!"

Mr. Jeon turned around, "Yes Yoongi?"

"Why don't the family across the street have dinner with us?"

"Because we have no furniture," Mrs. Jeon laughed.

Yoongi smiled like an idiot while mouthing "oh."

Taehyung also made a mental note to tell Jimin about the cute boy on the porch.

After hours of talking as Jungkook laid his head on his mother's shoulder, close to falling asleep they said their goodbyes.

The Jeon family said their goodnights.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What's up?"
"CUTE NEIGHBORS OMG JIMIN!"
"Chill out, he could be 37."
"No! OMG NO! One of them is 18 but the other one. The super cute yet sexy one, he looks to be no older then 27!"
"Taehyung, I'm trying to clean my wounds, you can cry about boys to me tomorrow."
Taehyung grimanced, "How bad?"
"Nothing broken, I just might need stitches."
"Please Jimin, just come clean to the police!"
"You know I can't."
Taehyung sighed, "I'll stitch you up tomorrow okay? Just keep it wrapped and clean."
"Okay, thanks Tae."
"Yeah..."
With that, the phone called ended.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"JIMIN!"

Jimin walked out of his room and looked over the railing right in front of his door, the living room under if you were to look down.

"WHAT?!"

"Get me a beer!"

"Dad, you don't need another fucking beer," he shouted, "I'm still trying to heal from the last beating," he whispered to himself.

"Jimin get me the goddamn beer!"

Jimin groaned stomping down the stairs and grabbed a canned beer from the fridge then walked over to his dad handing it over to him.

He walked back upstairs then grabbed his backpack and walked to the front door.

"Where the fuck you going?"

"Tae's. Where else? I don't have friends because of you."

"The hell you mean because of me?!"

"Your idiotic self made me mute and a freak."

"You've always been a freak."

"And you've always been a drunktard."

With that Jimin threw his backpack on and left the house. His father grumbling to himself as he left.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Across the street?"
"Yes! He's so cute, omg!"
"Didn't that one grandma that liked you use to live there?"
Taehyung cringed, "We don't speak of her."
Jimin laughed at his friend as he stitched up his opened wound.
"He's so sexy! OMG!"
As they were talking they heard someone yell from outside the window, "Father! I'm taking the dogs for a walk!"
They looked out the kitchen window over the sink and Taehyung gasped.
"That's the 18-year-old! Jung... Jung.. Kook? Yeah, Jungkook!"
Jimin couldn't see his face, the boy's hoodie was covering his face.
"Omg his eyes hold so many secrets!"
Jimin smiled at Taehyung as Taehyung tied off his stitches.
"You found a boyfriend already?"
Taehyung shook his head, "I prefer his brother."
Jimin smiled at him, "He's going to our school?"
"Yeah, him and his twin sisters."
"Your mom wanted us to walk him to school huh?"
"Yup, but I already told her no. Besides, he said he'd just go with his sisters. He has 9 other siblings!"
"THE HELL?! I feel bad for his future wife, he'll probably want a lot of kids. Also needing the approval of 9 siblings and 2 parents? I'd give up."
They agreed with each other before talking about their plan for school. Because next week.
Marks their last year of high school. Next week, marks a turn in their lives.
