Oh my lord, my day just went dark everyone.

My idol, my favorite singer- from my all-time favorite band, died today (July 20, 2017).

Chester Bennington of Linkin Park committed suicide by hanging himself.

The cause is rumored to be due to the child abuse he was victimized of by an older male. What is confirmed though, was that drugs were involve.

Chester has had a history of drug problems, but has been clean for a long time....I guess up until recent.

Jeez man, this guy, and the band is my idol! His words are inspirational, powerful, and....just...

I grew up on Linkin Park...

I remember when my dad (actually step-dad, but I consider him my real one) first moved in, we went for a car ride this one night around the block. He had to get something, but I guess as a form of bonding, he decided to take a few loops around the neighborhood. He stopped at Stop Sign and pulled out two discs, and asked me, "Which color you want?"

I saw a red and black disc: the first two albums Linkin Park made, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, respectively.

And it's a shame, because it was just three months ago their latest album came out, One More Light... Interesting title now that I think of it...

It wasn't received so well by critics, but it somehow topped two Rock-genre charts (but for the first time, it didn't make the "Hard Rock" category for the album's heavy influence of Pop and EDM).

This is horrible everyone. This band was (IS) my inspiration! Their lyrical style, twists on musical originality, is everything I try to accomplish when I write my own music...

Even though I'm really going to miss Chester's voice at the helm of this band, I hope they don't split...I really hope not.

He will forever be remembered with Linkin Park, the band who helped pioneer Nu-Metal.

*Update: So, a few days after this happened, my family and I were out eating, and my dad hands my brother and I his phone for us to read...

It was an email, confirming a refund on for the "One More Light" tour tickets...

I knew they cancelled their tour, and were gonna be in Camden, New Jersey that SAME weekend (which isn't too far from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), but I had no idea my parents were planning to take us there.

For as long as I've been a fan, I've always wanted to see them live. How unfortunate how I had my one and only chance- for it to then be cancelled due to such a horrible situation...

Life isn't fair sometimes, never forget that people.
