For years now, a cinematic Sonic The Hedgehog movie has been thought of and floating about in the rumor scene.

It was in 2014 when Sony decided to push forward and confirm it!

YEEEESSSS.

The thing is, it's supposed to be CGI/Live-Action hybrid...

There are two movies I can think of that fit that description coming from Sony...:

Granted, both movies performed pretty well in their time.

But, "Smurfs" was more cartooney, which contradicts the fact that their approach to the Sonic movie will be a bit darker, if not more serious than what some people know...

Oh gosh, don't make it too dark, or we'll get another "Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice!" 😥

And then for "The Chipmunks," it was really good, but seeing Sonic with hairy detailing is a bit different. 😂

In that same year, after creativity conflicts with what "Deadpool 2's" future was supposed to be, and a week later after dropping from that project, director Tim Miller hopped on the boat to direct this Sonic movie.

Now we got some talent! But it gets better!

In 2015, it was confirmed that Original Films was going to hop in as well! Does that studio sound familiar? If not, you may have seem them in-

Now we have fast-paced action and comic relief? Perfect!

Now recently ('Twas October 2017 when I wrote this), Sony unfortunately declared they did not have the money to make this movie, so they had to sell their rights...and to who?

Paramount Pictures; also known for:

Alright! Now we got some animation/fandom love!

And get this, those people who agreed to work on it way back when, are still on the boat! Plus, Tim Miller has been promoted to also be executive producer!

WE GOT SOME TALENT FOR THIS, YO!

Oh, and there's another guy who's gonna direct, his name is Jeff Fowler. He was Academy Award nominated for some animated short.

Well, he didn't win, but heck, being nomimated is talent right there!

This Sonic movie, BETTER BE GOOD! SOO MANY BIG NAMES ON THIS THING! If they mess this up, those big names will stain their reputation, and that Fowler guy will put a bad impression on himself for messing up his first big movie!

Now, why do I address such negatives to my favorite fandom? Because, as much as I love it, Paramount has a history of butchering adaptations of famous series. Exhibits A and B...:

~Side note, I didnt "hate" the first TMNT movie, but some elements that were done in its sequel would've made it sooo much better!

That's all the interesting news I have for this movie at this time, but do expect me to update like crazy!
