○ Diya's POV ○

I walked to our room but Edward didn't follow me. Let him do whatever he thinks. I freshened and wore a long kurthi and came out of the washroom. I saw Edward searching something in his bag.

"What are you searching?" I asked him and he didn't reply.

"I am asking you only" I said and he turned to me.

"Where is the pant for this shirt, Diya?" he asked me showing a shirt. I walked to him and checked the bag.

"See, here it is" I said and showed him.

"It won't suit for this shirt, Diya. Don't you know how to match clothes? See all these clothes are mixed up. See this, this, this...See"
He said, pulling out all the clothes from the bag and scattered it around.

"I know you would complain. That is why I told you to select and keep, so that I can pack. But, you told me that you are fine with anything I select "I said, irritated with him.

"Who knows you don't know how to match clothes?" He said, shuffling the clothes.

"Yeah, I don't know, why don't you ask your F.R.I.E.N.D Liza to pack it for you. She is expect in this"  I shouted and he turned to me

"Why are you pulling her into this? Don't tell me you are insecured. I can only love you. You should think that you deserved to be loved from someone first. That you don't have" He raised his voice

"Why shouldn't I take Liza name? Yeah, I am insecured. You always change when she is around you.  What were you doing with her there?" I asked him, picking up the clothes that were scattered.

"What is your problem now? What do you think I was doing? You always find something to accuse her. See, you invited her and not me. I asked you before whether you are ok with her being with us here" He said and sat on the couch.

"Ohhh...so, I am finding reason to accuse her huh? Wow nice..go and support her. She is your wife na? Go"

"Hey, what is this utter stupidity? Just leave this topic, Diya. I am really getting irritated" he said while his phone vibrated.

"15 mins. We will be there in the lobby" he said and ended the call.

"You go with her and I am not coming" I shouted while putting the clothes in the bag.

"Don't do like this, Diya. What is your problem now? You invited trouble. Not me. Now, Is this the way you treat the one you invited?" He asked me and I couldn't answer.

"I will go down now. You do whatever you want"I said and he didn't reply anything.

We reached the theatre and I showed the ticket in the counter and got in.

Edward took the corner seat and next to him, me and next to me, Liza sat. The movie started and after 15 mins, Liza bent down to see both of us.

"What happened??" I asked her.

"Nothing, the man next to me is not good. He is keeping his hands next to mine everytime. It's like.." she said and Edward interrupted.

"Come to this corner and I will sit there" he said and kept quiet. See, he answered and he did leave me to say anything

"No, I am scared of corner seats" she said and I looked at Edward. He glanced at me and then saw her.

"Diya, come and sit here. Liza, you sit in the middle and I will sit there" he said, eventhough he had no other choice than to do this. I got irritated. But, Is she wrong? She didn't do anything. It is we who are fighting over nothing everytime.

I am afraid about all this. Is she good or bad? In all the things, there is nothing her fault or I can't find a mistake in her to point out and hate her. Is she clever or really sweet person?? God know what will happen.

She was laughing for some scenes and at times, she would talk to Edward. I know I shouldn't be this possessive because they are friends. But, if its Linda or someone like her, I wouldn't mind totally. But, still some part of my mind is telling her that she is bad. So.....Anyways, after the movie, we got back to the hotel and I freshened to get ready in a part wear saree.

I looked at Edward who was still in front of the mirror trying to match the clothes. To be honest, What I brought was fine, but he being a perfect person won't get satisfied until it's really perfect. For that, I can't help it.

I got down in the lobby to see Liza in her Indo western fusion wear. Where does she get like this clothes? I don't know.

"Your dress is awesome. It's mixed Indian and western right?" I said, looking at her hairstyle.
She had put a high pony and she looked totally pretty like she is going to an award function.

"Thanks!! I got it from an Indian designer in NYC" she said and smiled.

"Nice. Ok, let's go" I said and We got a cab to go to the reception.

We reached the hall and in the entrance I saw Pooja standing there to welcome the guests.

I got life to see her because it was like suffocating to see Liza everytime and also because of the issues between me and him. Just seeing her, I relaxed like I got a supportive person by my side. Pooja was busy so I didn't get to speak with her.

We got in and I spotted three seats in the middle and we sat there. After like 10 minutes, a lady behind called me and asked.

"Are you Divya's friends?" She asked and I nodded. She wanted to ask about those two but she kept quiet.

Later, we thought to eat and come because there was a big line there to meet Divya at the stage.

I took them to the dining buffet and we filled in our plates. While we were having.... A man and a lady came and spoke to them.

"You both look great together as a couple. Are you Divya's friends?" They asked to Liza and Edward. I looked at Edward.

"Yeah...actually she is my wife" he said, pointing to me.

"Ohhh..She is Indian right?how?" They asked and I got irritated by this question how how how?

"Love marriage" I said, barging in.

"Oh ok. Sorry we misunderstood" they said with awkwardness.

"It's ok" I said and they walked away.

Liza moved away to attend a call and I turned to Edward.

We just looked at each other eyes  in silence, neither of us trying to speak. I thought of breaking the silence and tried to take a step forward when I saw Pooja walk towards us. With her, our college friends came and I was beyond suprised and happy to see them all.

We spoke for some time and I introduced Edward to them.

"Diya!! We are having a small party or like get together after 10 pm today. If you go back, we don't know when you will come back next time. Just stay with us tonight. Huh?" A classmate of mine asked and I looked at Edward. He looked back at me and nodded slowly. Its not like I have to ask permission compulsory. He told me not to ask permission for anything and everything. But, I got this habit of asking everything to him and he also got used to me asking him.

"Ok, we both will come" I said and they made a "oooo" voice like
teasing as I looked down in shyness.

After that they all moved to the buffet and at the same time, Liza barged in. She looked tensed.

"Ryan!! A patient in my Britain hospital is critical. The head doctor is suddenly not feeling well and the surgery has to happen right now. They will connect us in video call after 15 minutes" she said, panicking and will full tension. Why isn't there any backup doctor?

"Why?? Isn't there anyone for backup?" Edward asked and I turned to him.

"Ryan if I am asking you help that means you have to understand that I don't have choice but to ask you at last. If we can we would have done something and not ask you"she said like arrogantly.

"How can you attend? You are not a employee of that hospital right?" I asked Edward and Liza turned to me.

"Don't underestimate Ryan. He is a guest doctor in some hospitals"she said and I kept quiet.

"Fine. How can we attend here? It's too noisy" Ryan said and I looked both of them. While they both looked at me.

"Ok, no problem. I will tell my friends that I can't come today. We will go to the hotel now" I said but Edward stopped me.

"It's ok. You be here. You didn't still see Divya in stage. You have to give her the gift and like your friends said, we don't know when you will come to India next time and all your friends won't come too. So, stay. The operation will take hours. I don't think I can come in the middle. You come to room after the party. Okay?? Don't worry. Everything's fine" he said, opening his mouth to speak after the long argument in the noon.

I wanted to attend the party too. It is great to see my friends after a long time. "Ok. I will come back. If anything, call me. Bye" I said and Liza smiled as she waved her hand saying bye.

While going out, Edward turned to see me and then he turned to go. I sighed thinking of all these  disturbance. But, as a doctor, Edward had no choice.
