Sidharth

After 4 hours I went to the room where she was sitting holding her head in her hands.

"Here, this will help you with the hangover." I passed her a lemonade. She took it and drank it in one go. She still looked tired. I sat beside her. She hugged my arm and kept her head on my shoulder. I pecked her head.

"What's the time?" She asked.

"5 'o'clock," I replied.

"Sidharth...Um...I.." she stammered.

"You don't have to say anything. Now I don't want you to look into the past. Just focus on the present and future." I said pecking her head.

"No...Actually...I...I did something without asking you...Um...Please don't be angry. I only mean to do the right thing." She said hesitantly. I looked at her confused.

"What?" I asked. She looked scared. Aisa kya kiya hai isne.

"Tell me, baby, don't be scared," I said cupping her face.

"I...Aa...Invited someone over dinner." She said lowly looking at me, still scared.

"Who?" I asked.

"Veer Bhai and sanvi," she said in one go closing her eyes tight. I clenched my jaw tight.

"Why would you do that? Was I not clear that this marriage is not going to happen?" I said trying hard not to shout.

"Please meri baat sun..."

"I listened to you earlier too right. Dekh lia kitna accha hai tera bhai." I said moving away.

"Sidhar..." She was about to say something when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door. One of the staff members informed us about the arrival of Sanvi and Veer. My blood boiled listening to his name.

"Theek hai bhaiya app jaiye..Hum ate hai." Shehnaaz quickly said and pulled me inside closing the door.

"I am going to throw him out now," I growled in anger.

"Nahi, nahi, please. Shant hoja, please. Ye sab karne se kuch nhi hoga Sidharth. Think about Sanvi. Maine kaha tha na only her happiness should matter to you. Please meri baat sunle. Bhai..."

"Nahi Shehnaaz, not this time." I stopped her in middle and walked past her towards the gate.

"He didn't know anything. Nobody knows anything. About the molestation, accident, coma nothing." She said from behind. I stopped right there. Honestly, till now I was thinking that her family didn't care for her life when she was in coma. I turned towards her. She sat on the bed and rubbed her face vigorously.

"That wedding was of my paternal side. Veer Bhai and his family were supposed to come directly on the wedding day that too just for formality as they didn't have good relations with my father. This all happened before they came. They didn't know what actually happened. Just that di's marriage was broken because of me and then I left just like that. For the next whole month when I was missing they told them that I was with Anu and after Anu found me, she too didn't disclose the truth as she was also scared of Abhiyansh. So whatever happened yesterday was as much shock to them as it was for you. I agree he didn't say anything was wrong and he should have at least tried to stop them from accusing me but he didn't. But the thing is, it's not me or my happiness at the stake here. It's theirs and honestly the amount of love they do to each other, I was afraid they might do something wrong. I am not going to dictate to you what to do and what not to but I just wanna say, listen first and decide thinking only and only about Sanvi. Mere bare mein sochkar kuch mat kario kyunki usse mere lie kuch nhi badlega." She said and left the room without looking at me.

Whatever she said did affect me. I mean she is somewhere right but I am still not sure about this marriage. I went outside. She was talking to them.

"Yeh sab kya hai bittu? Why you didn't tell us anything?" Veer asked her.

"Choro na bhai, jo ho gaya bas ho gaya. Abhi app bas is bat pe dhyan do ki Sidharth ko kaise impress karna hai. Is veeru aur basanti ki kahani mein vo mausi ji ka role bohot acche se nibhayega." She said giggling. Seriously? Yahan ye meri burai karne baithi hai.

"Bhabhs..." Sanvi laughed.

"Ek second, bhabhs?" Veer asked. Sana looked away blushing.

"Haan ye bhai ki girlfriend hai and inka pyaar dekhke I am sure ki ye hi unki wife bhi banengi." Sanvi said.

"Boyfriend? Aur tu yahan rehti hai? Par tune kaha tha tu Anu ke sath rehti hai. You lied, didn't you?" Veer said. He sounded disappointed.

"Sorry, Bhai." She apologized. But she doesn't have to. We love each other and we can stay with each other.

"So you are in a livin relationship?" He asked. Why is he so curious about our relationship.

Because dude, he is her brother. Duh! My brain mocked.

"Nahi bhai, aisa nhi hai. We..Uh...It was just that...I..." She stammered not knowing what to say. Obviously, he is her brother and Sanvi would have done this and I asked the question, she would have been uncomfortable too.

"I brought her here when you and your family abandoned her," I said moving towards them. He looked at me but I saw some anger in those eyes.

"First of all, we didn't abandon her. She lied about her whereabouts and we trusted her." Veer said standing up.

"Bhai..."

"Nahi bittu...Whatever happened at the Roka was wrong I know that. We should not have let that man and his family abuse you. But we were all in shock. Those pictures of you left us all shocked. And then he and his family defended you (pointing towards Sidharth). "No way, how dare he talk to you like that? Bas bol diya ki I know what happened was wrong aur sab theek? Nahi, nothing will change the fact that he wasn't there when you needed him the most." I said in anger.

"Fine, fine...Karo jo Karna hai. Karde dono ko alag. Aur app bhai, lado isse jitna ladna hai aur jo bache kuche chances hai to get your love vo bhi gava do. Aur rone do Sanvi ko. Isse zada kar bhi kya sakti hai vo. Uski life ke do sabse important men are fighting like cats." Sana shouted at us. We looked at Sanvi, she was crying silently. My heart ached to look at her. Am I really doing wrong?

"I am sorry..." I and Veer said together and looked away.

"Now let's sit and talk like adults," Sana said. We all settled down. Everyone was quiet for some time.

"I am sorry Veer but I can't trust you with my sister anymore," I said after some time.

"I understand. But I love your sister and I can do anything to win your trust back. I really want her in my life, like forever." Veer said. I looked at Sana. She was smiling. She is really fond of her brother.

"Please Bhai Ek chance de do please. I also love him. Mai inke sath rehena chahti hoon but app ko naraz karke nahi. I want both of you in my life. Please, please Bhai." Sanvi requested. I sighed leaning back on the sofa. I can see love in their eyes. And I can feel their pain of separation too? How can I not? I also love Sana and I know how it feels when you can't get the person you love, in your life.

"Fine, but meri ek shart hai." I said.

"Ab kya hai?" Sana said irritated. I looked at her sternly. She looked down mumbling a sorry. I smiled inwardly. My cute little cub.

"You will be leaving for London in three months right? (Veer nodded) so you have two months to prove that I can trust you with my sister. And if I am satisfied then I'll let this marriage happen. Otherwise, I am sorry baccha. You mean the world to me. If I feel that he is not right for you then you'll not meet him ever again. Bolo Manzoor hai?" I asked. If he is confident enough and really loves Sanvi, he will not think twice and prove himself.

"Fine, Manzoor hai." He said immediately. I nodded. Sanvi and Sana smiled at him.

"Bittu pack your bags. You are coming with me." Veer said making me shocked.

"What? What the hell, she isn't going anywhere." I yelled getting up.

"Sidharth...Sidharth, calm down please." Sana was immediately by my side.

"Kahan Bhai and why?" She asked him. He didn't say anything but just passed her the phone. Her eyes got wide looking at the Id of the caller. She put the call on mute and looked at him scared.

"Apne unhe sab kuch bata diya?" She asked Veer, who just nodded.

"Mai nahi kar rahi baat. Unhe kyun mujhse baat karni hai? Vo to town mein bhi nahi hai na. App unhe bol do vo bad me bat kar legi." She said hurriedly and passed him the phone back. Who is this person? And why is so scared of him?

"Bat kar bittu." Veer said sternly.

"Bohot dant padegi Bhai. Please bacha lo na." She pleaded.

"Ho kya raha hai? Aur kon hai? Lemme talk. Kon hai jo ise dara raha hai." I said and was about to take the phone when Sana snatched it.

"Nahi, nahi tu to bilkul bhi nahi. Unhe iske bare mein to nahi pata hoga. Apko hi abhi pata chala." She said to veer.

"I am going to tell him once we reach home." Veer said. This is so confusing.

"Nooo, please don't. Na to ye ki mera boyfriend hai aur na hi ki mai iske sath reh rahi thi, Please. Bolna ki main Anu ke sath thi and apke sath yahan milne ayi thi." She said pleading.

"No more lies bittu. Ab na to tu humse kuch bhi chupaegi aur na hi humse alag rahegi. You are coming with me. And that's final. Ab bat kar." Veer said sternly and again dialed the no. and passed her the phone. She took to the phone being scared.

"Hello...mai theek hoon bhai...Nhi bhai main...I am sorry bhai...Nahi aisa...Sachi bhai mai...Sorry na bhai...main...Main Anu ke ( veer glared at her) nahi, nahi main apne dost ke ghar par hoon...Haan ladka hai...Vo bhai...N..Nahi bhai...Vo matlab...Pyaar karte hai hum...Nahi nahi sacchi sirf ek ghar mein rehete hai vo bhi mujhe zaroorat thi isilie...Uski family ko pata hai bhai. Infact vo log mujhse apni beti mante hai....Nahi bhai aisa nahi hai. I am so sorry bhai. I didn't wanted to hurt you...Uski zaroorat nahi hai bhai. Mai vaise bhi apne purane ghar mein shift hone vali thi jahan Mrs. Gill aur unke bete ke sath reh rahi thi. Ab to vo log vahan nahi reh sakte to I will stay there...Vo apke bua aur bhai hai, mere kuch nahi lagte vo log (said sternly)...I'll be fine bhai...But bhai...Okay I'll come. I love you...Bye." she hung up the call.

With whatever she said it's clear she was talking to her brother and she obeys him. But who?

"Shehnaaz, what's going on?" I asked her.

"It was Sukhveer Bhai. He was in Mumbai with his wife and daughter for the last year. Jo bhi hua roke mein uske bad he had decided to come back. He wants me to come and stay with them. Veer bahi bhi unhi ke sath rahenge." She said making me tensed and sad.

"You can't just go like that," I said sadly.

"Not a big deal sidharth. Main vaise bhi shift karne vali thi. Mujhe abhi unko face karne ki tension hai. Phone pe itni dant padi. Samne kya hoga. Ab to jhoot bolke bhi nhi bach sakti." She said tensed.

"Sanvi seems like we are not only the ones who have to prove our love. Kisi aur ko bhi apni girlfriend ke bhai ko patana padega. Vaise future sale Sahab, Sukhveer Bhai bohot hi strict and protective hai Sana ko lekar." Veer said mocking me.

"Tumhari aur tumhari family ki protection kaisi hai maine dekh li. So better not talk about that. Rahi baat Shehnaaz ki to it will be her decision. Maine use tab bhi nahi roka tha jab use vapas Anu ke ghar jana tha. Main use ab bhi nhi rokunga agar vo apne bhai ke sath rehena chahti hai. I am going to be with her no matter what and who comes in between." I said firmly. It's true that I have agreed to give Veer a chance but I will never forgive her family for what they had done to her.

"Sidharth please not again..." Sana said exhausted. I looked at her for a few seconds and then looked away. She sighed looking at me.

"Bhai...Umm...You go today. I need to do my packing. App kal mujhe lene aa jana." She said to Veer. He looked reluctant but nevertheless agreed.

Well, all had dinner after that and then Veer and Sanvi took their leave. We both went to our room. I went to the washroom to freshen up. When I came back, she had already changed and was putting lotion on her arms. I went and hugged her from behind.

"Sorry..." I whispered in her ear and snuggled in her neck. I felt her shiver in my arms. I just love the effect I have on her.

"Kyun..?" She whispered back.

"Agar ajj kuch bhi bura laga ho to. Main gusse mein tha." I explained, looking at her through the mirror. I kept my chin on her shoulder and smiled at her through the mirror.

"You don't have to be sorry. You didn't say anything wrong." She said smiling back at me. I turned her around and held her from the waist. I pulled her more close to me.

"Jana zarori hai?" I asked. She just nodded.

"Koi aur rasta nahi hai?" I asked. She shook her head in no.

"I'll miss you," I said moving close to her face.

"I'll miss you too." She whispered as our lips are just a few centimeters apart. I sucked her lower lip making her moan lightly.

"Promise me you'll meet me daily," I said brushing my lips with her.

"Promise." She breathed sharply. I sucked her upper lip and then again moved back.

"Promise me to talk to me every night before sleeping and every morning before coming to the office," I whispered again brushing my lips to her.

"I promise." She whispered closing her eyes.

"I love you..." I said and kissed her slowly but passionately.

"I love you too..." She breathed as we broke the kiss and then hugged me tightly. She will go tomorrow. She will not be with me 24/7 now. I will not be able to see her whenever I want to.

I'll miss her.

I'll miss our cuddles.

I'll miss our Masti in the kitchen.

I'll miss everything about her in this house.
