Author's pov

Whatever Sana told till now disturbed Sidharth's peace of mind. She has been through so much and there's more. Sana was in a different zone. She was remembering the dark phase of her life. Anu too was somewhere there only. She had been with her almost all the time.

"There's one question I wanted answers for. What have I done to my parents that they despise so much? Abhi unhe lagta hai ki I am a shame to them. To samjh ata hai ki vo hate karte hai mujhe. But ye sab hone se pehele kya kiya tha maine? Mai to ek introvert si ladki thi, zada bat na karna, bina behes kare unki bat man na. Fir kyun itni nafrat thi unhe mujhse ki adhi rat ko sadak par akela chor diya unhone mujhe. Mudke dekha tak nahi mujhe." Sana asked being all emotional. Tears were not stopping to flow and the voice cracked to no end. How she held herself up to recall everything, only she knows.

"What do you mean by akela chor diya?" Sidharth asked confused. More than confused he was afraid to hear what was next.

...The news spread like a fire in the haveli. From family to friends to staff and managers, everybody heard what happened. And everybody blamed her, judged her.

"Itni badnami kabhi nahi hui hamari. Ab agar ye shadi hui to mazak ban jayega humara." Mr. Raghav Khurana, father of Abhiyansh said.

"Nahi, nahi bhai Sahab. Is characterless ladki ki wajah se rishta mat todiye app." Kirti's mother pleaded.

"Nahi aunty dad sahi kehe rahe hai. Agar ye shadi hui to badme log yeh bhi bol sakte hai ki mera aur Shehnaaz ka affair chal raha tha fir bhi maine kirti se shadi ki. I am sorry aunty but I can't marry Kirti now." Abhiyansh said playing all innocent.

"What the fuck are you even saying? Stop lying you prick. How could you do this?" Sana shouted at him and in return earned a slap from Kirti.

"Shut up. Just shut up you whore. You spoiled my life." Kirti cried.

"Di I didn't do anything. Please believe me. Maine sach mein kuch nahi kiya. Yeh insan accha nahi hai. Yeh apko dhokha de raha tha." Sana cried holding her sister in her arms. Kirti pushed her away and looked at her angry.

"You are so disgusting, Sana. I loved you so much and you did this to me. Meri Shadi tudvate hue sharam nahi ayi tujhe. Nikal ja tu yahan se. Shakal nhi dekhni mujhe teri. Just get lost." Kirti shouted at the top of her voice.

"Di please..." Sana sobbed.

"Tu aise nhi jayegi na. Ruk..." Kirti held her hand and dragged her out of the room, down the stairs, and then to the main door of the haveli. She literally threw Sana out of the haveli. Sana fell down on the ground because of the force.

"Dubara shakal mat dikhana mujhe tum apni." Kirti said and closed the door on her face. Sana kept banging the door but no one opened it. Not even her parents. After some time the watchman came and asked her to leave from there as he got the orders. Sana looked at him in disbelief. How can her family leave her in the middle of the night, on the road, in an unknown city? It was so unsafe. Sana moved from there.

"They just asked you to go...How could they do so? Apni hi beti ke sath." Sidharth said in disbelief.

"I don't know. I didn't ask. Now it doesn't even matter anymore. They are dead for me now." Sana said wiping her tears.

"Then what did you do?" Sidharth asked.

"Mujhe kuch karne ka mauka hi nahi mila. It was still fate's turn to play with me." She chuckled sadly.

...She kept walking but didn't found any place she could spend the night safely. The haveli was at a far place from the city so it was just barren land around. Suddenly a car came and halted in front of her. She was scared to death at that point in time. She tried to see who was the person in the car but it was too dark. Then the headlights of the car turned on and three boys got down from the car.

It was Abhiyansh and his friends. Seeing their faces, fear gripped Sana's heart. She ran and ran and ran to god knows where. But they had a car. They followed her laughing at her attempts to run away from them.

After half and of running Sana fell down on the ground tired. The car halted next to her but she didn't have any strength left in her to run. The boys came and stood over her head and laughed.

"Thak Gayi baby girl?" Abhiyansh laughed.

"Maine kaha tha na is baar nahi chorunga." He said gripping her hairs in his hand and pulling them. She hissed in pain. Somewhere she was giving up. She didn't have any physical strength left in her and after what her family did, she was breaking emotionally too.

He picked her up on his shoulder and threw her on the backseat of the car. They took her to god knows where. Sana kept resisting despite getting tired. She knew if something happened today she will die. She will not be able to live with this baggage. Nobody's gonna believe her.

They reached a small cottage. Abhiyansh again picked her up and took her into the house. He took her to the bedroom and threw her on the bed. Sana moved back and crossed her hands over her chest as her dupatta has fallen in the car. They all looked at her with so much lust and hunger that it made Sana want to puke. She cried silently as no words came out of her mouth.

"Tonight's gonna be so much fun." Abhiyansh laughed along with the other boys. He removed his shirt and moved towards her on the bed. Sana moved back and when he was about to touch her, she pushed him and ran from there. Before she could go out, the other boy caught her and held her against the wall with her back towards him. He sniffed her neck in the same position making Sana cry in agony. He then pushed her to the third boy who held her close and did the same. They played with her like this for some time. Pushing her to one another, treating her like something to play with. One of them tore her clothes making her cry even more. She couldn't do anything. In mind, she had already given up...

"I am going to kill those bastards. How dare they? Kaise gire hue neech log hai duniya mein." Sidharth said in anger. He mentally cursed and abused them.

"Khurana's are very powerful Sidharth. Going against them will be dangerous." Anu said disappointed.

"You haven't seen how powerful I am till now. I can buy those Khurana's and keep them in my pocket. I can get them killed and nobody will ever know what happened to them. I promise you I am going to destroy them that they will beg me to either leave them or kill them." Sidharth said smirking. Sidharth Shukla is one of the richest people in India but nobody knows how powerful he is. Nobody knows what contacts he has. Nobody knows that a good-hearted, humble and lovely Sidharth Shukla can be their worst nightmare if they harm his loved ones.

"But before that, I want to know everything. What happened then? Did they...." He wanted to ask if they succeeded in their plan or not but he couldn't complete it. Thinking another man touching his baby, that too forcefully was making him angrier.

"I lost everything that night except my virginity. It didn't mean anything to me then as I was dead inside. Then I met you and you taught me how to live again. Now I am grateful that I didn't lose myself completely back then." Sana said with a little smile. This brought smiles to Anu and Sidharth's faces too.

...Here at the haveli the environment was pretty tensed up. The Khurana wanted to be left alone so they were in their respective rooms. The whole gill family was angry and shocked and sad. Kirti broke down completely as her marriage broke. Her parents were tensed thinking about their future. They knew this will bring them lots of humiliation. Sana's parents were embarrassed and angry.

Anu along with her family was to reach the haveli a day before the wedding. She reached the haveli and sensed that something's not right. She stopped one of the relatives of gills and asked her what happened there. She told her everything that happened. How Sana and Abhiyansh were caught in a compromised position and show Kirti threw Sana out as her wedding broke. Anu was shocked listening to this. She told everything to her mom and dad. She didn't believe any of the accusations that were put on Sana. She wanted to go and yell at her family for not supporting their own daughter but finding Sana was her priority at that time.

Sana's phone was in the haveli only so she couldn't reach her through that. With each passing second, she was getting tensed. Her father has already sent people to look for her everywhere. After some time Anu noticed that Abhiyansh was also not there. From whatever she heard she knew this guy was not a good person. So she asked her father to get Abhiyansh's mobile tapped. After 20 mins they got to a location where his phone was. They immediately left for the spot. Anu wished that she could find Sana before something worse happens to her.

They were at the cottage in the next 20 minutes. The police were also with them as Anu's father called the police on the way. They entered the cottage and looked for them everywhere.

Here, inside the bedroom, Sana had totally given up as she couldn't see any ray of hope. Her clothes are torn completely leaving her only in her undergarments. She was pinned on the bed by Abhiyansh, who was nibbling her neck. The other two boys were watching the show with a smirk plastered on their faces. Sana was just crying silently as she has no energy left to resist now.

The boys became alert as they heard sounds from outside. Before they could see what was happening, the door burst open revealing a frantic Anu and her father along with the police there. The police arrested the boys. Meanwhile, Anu covered Sana's body with a blanket. She tried to talk to her but Sana was numb. She didn't respond as if she was dead.

The police took the boys with them. Anu's father arranged clothes for Sana. Anu tried her best to make her friend talk but this was of no use. She didn't even blink her eyelids. It was 6 in the morning when they headed back to the haveli...

"That is good right that they got arrested. Your family must have believed you then." Sidharth asked.

"Maine kaha na sidharth Abhiyansh Khurana is very powerful. Police use 1 min ke lie bhi jail mein nhi dal payi. He came back..." Sana interrupted Anu.

"He came back and once again, destroyed everything," Sana said looking into nowhere.

...Anu and her father took Sana back to the haveli. As they entered the haveli, they saw everyone there. The Khurana and the Gill's, everyone. Everybody looked at her with anger and disgust. Her father came and slapped her hard shocking everyone.

"Aur kitna muh kala karvaogi humara. Apni behen ki shadi tudvake chain nahi mila kya jo rat bita kar ayi ho Abhiyansh ke sath." He asked angrily. Sana, Anu, and her father were shocked to hear what he just said.

"Maine aisa kuch nahi kiya." Sana said with a tired voice.

"Accha to ye kya hai?" Her father asked her showing her the pictures of her and Abhiyansh in bed, in an intimate position. Sana was numb to see those pictures. If there were pictures of her with him then definitely he would have more pictures with the other two boys also. She could see her future. He would blackmail her to do things.

"These are all false uncle. Trust me. I was..." Anu tried to tell the truth but Mr. Gill didn't let her complete. He was so blind in anger that he didn't listen to anyone. Just then Abhiyansh came, shocking Anu and her father more. Sana was so numb to react.

"What the hell did you do?" His father asked him angrily. Abhiyansh looked down as if he was feeling so guilty.

"I am sorry dad, uncle. Yesterday when Kirti threw her out I became a little tense. It was not safe outside. I was at fault too in whatever happened. I found her she was crying badly saying that she was sorry for what she did. I believed her and tried to console her. Things heated up and one thing led to another. I don't know who send you those pictures or who clicked them. It was just a mistake." Abhiyansh said. Anu was fuming in anger. Such a lier he is.

"You are sorry...What am I gonna do with your sorry? You ruined our reputation." His dad said angrily.

"Uncle I have a solution to this. In dono ki shadi karva dijye. Log kuch sawal poochenge aur kuch bate banengi but eventually zada insult hone se bach jayegi." One of Abhiyansh's friends said. Sana looked at him shocked. She then looked at her family and everybody seems to agree with what he said.

"No, no no I am not going to marry this monster." She shrieked out moving back.

"Now you will do whatever we say." Her mother said and started to drag her to the room.

"Bhai shahab yeh theek rahega. Dono pariwaro ki izat ka sawal hai. Ajj sham ko bohot log ayenge. In dono ki shadi karva dete hai." Her father said to Abhiyansh's father who nodded in agreement.

"This is not right uncle. App Sana ki marzi ke khilaf ye nahi kar sakte. Aur ye insan accha nahi hai..." Anu tried to stop him but was interrupted by a harsh reply.

"Bas bohot hua. Ye humara family matter hai. Tumhe isme bolna ki zaroorat nahi hai. Shadi mein ayi ho na to shadi dekho aur niklo yahan se. Aur nahi dekhi jati to abhi dafa ho jao." Her father said harshly and went away. Everyone else also went inside to do the preparations for the marriage.

"Dad ye bahar kaise aya?" Anu asked her dad.

"I don't know. Lemme look at it. Itne tum Sana se bat karne ka try kro. We have to stop this wedding." Her father said. Anu nodded and went towards Sana's room.

Anu's father was a lawyer so he had some connections. Through them, he got to know that each and every police officer who accompanied them yesterday denied accepting that they were with them. There's no FIR and no crime was reported last night. He got that they all are heavily paid. Abhiyansh Khurana is a devil and he will do everything to get what he wants.

Here, Abhiyansh knew that Anu and her family would try to stop the wedding so he made a plan and got all three of them locked in a room. It was just a few hours before the wedding. He went to see Sana in her room.

Sana was all dressed as a bride. But her face was pale, no emotions, no tears nothing. Abhiyansh came and stood behind her.

"Aw look at you. You make a beautiful bride. See baby girl now you are going to be at Kirti's place and I will make your life hell." He whispered in her ear. She didn't say anything just looked away. He smirked at her helplessness. And went from there.

Sana knew that if this wedding happens her life would be miserable. She had never learned to give up and right now too she was just thinking about how to escape this wedding. A maid came to her room with food a few hours before the wedding would start. A plan struck in her mind. She asked the maid to help her and took her to the bathroom. There she hit her with a vase she picked right before she entered the bathroom. The maid fell unconscious. Sana quickly exchanged her clothes with the maid. She turned the tap on and locked the bathroom door. If somebody came in, he or she will think that Sana is inside.

Wearing the maid's clothes Sana ran from there. Hiding from everyone she exited the haveli. She stole keys from the valet and took the car and went away. But before she could reach a safer place a truck came from the front and...BOOM...

Sidharth got up and hugged Sana tight listening to this. He can't believe that he would have lost her then. He hugged her so tightly as if his life depends on it. Sana too hugged him back. She was overwhelmed to see him still there with her, supporting her. She always believed that nobody will accept her with so much baggage.

"I am so sorry baby. Tu theek hai na. Tujhe zada laga tha?" He asked breaking the hug and cupping her face. Sana smiled and Anu chuckled from behind.

"It was three years ago Sidharth. I am fine now." Sana said smiling at his concern.

"Yeah she is now but back then she scared the hell out of me and my family," Anu said shaking her head.

"What do you mean?" Sidharth asked.

"She ran from the wedding. Everyone got to know that. Both the families were so angry. They thought I helped her but I didn't as Abhiyansh locked us up. They were all worried about their reputation and we were worried about her. Abhiyansh did everything in his will to find her but he wasn't able to. Neither was us. After a few days, Abhiyansh gave up and convinced everyone to go back. But we stayed there. I wanted to find her at any cost. It was after a month when dad went to a small local hospital to meet a client when he saw her. She was in coma..." Anu told. Sidharth was so shocked.

"Coma...?" He whispered to himself.

"Hm...Her car collided with the truck and it turned into a bad accident. Some people of the village took her and the driver of the car to the local hospital and an FIR was registered in the local police station. The driver of the truck died while going to the hospital. She was lucky that she reached there in time. But during the surgery, she went into hemorrhage and landed up in a coma stage. We brought her with us to Delhi. She was treated here properly. She had injuries in her brain. She was in coma for four months and when she got up from coma, she was all different. Smile gone, the laughter gone, no chirpiness, no naughtiness nothing. She was lost." Anu said sadly.

"...And Anu and her family did everything to bring me back to life. Char mahine coma aur fir che mahine recovery, vo saal I had to drop out from the college. Anu also dropped out with me. I was so afraid to be alone that she decided to be with me. She knew we might not get admission again to a medical college but she didn't even think about her future. She was there, her family was there. With them, I started to get normal. I was taking Dr. Shikha's treatment side by side without them knowing. I didn't go back to my family until I heard of the fights Mr. And Mrs. Gill had. I heard he hit her. It was then I went there. It's my weakness that I can't do bad to anyone and I can't ignore bad too. I took her stand and asked her to leave him. I took her and her son with me. And well the rest you know what happened." Sana completed her story.

Some people might think it was not much. But only she knew how she faced all that. Only she knew how it feels when your family doesn't trust you. How it feels when people character assassinates you. It might seem to be nothing but this turned her life to hell.

"It's over now. No one can harm you now..." Sidharth spoke cupping Sana's face.

"No, it's not over," Anu said sighing.

"Huh?" Sidharth asked confused.

"Till now Abhiyansh didn't know that we found her and she is safe. We don't know why and how he was there at the ceremony yesterday. Whether he was invited or not. But the thing is, now he knows about her and much importantly he knows about yours and her's relationship. He will do everything to get his wishes fulfilled which he couldn't last time. I have heard that his business expanded and now he is even more powerful." Anu said fearfully.

"Aisa kuch nahi hoga. I promise you I'll destroy that man. I will make him beg for death. He will beg for every penny. I promise you he will be punished for everything he did to you. You are not alone this time. You have me and you have a family this time. We will not let you fall." Sidharth said looking into Sana's eyes. Her eyes were moist listening to this. She couldn't say how great full she was. Every fear, every insecurity were washing away.

"Think once again Sidharth. For people, I am a characterless girl who slept with her sister's would-be husband and broke their marriage and when I was to marry him, I ran from there too. Now after yesterday's incident people will talk worse about me. You wouldn't want to be a drag yourself and your family into this dirt." Sana said dejectedly. She moved a little away but he pulled her back.

"Ajj bol diya, ajj ke bad never ever say a word against my girlfriend. I will kill anyone who says I'll things to my baby. I love you baby and I am there for you, with you in you all bad and good. We are together and together only we will destroy him. Together we will make everything right." He assured her. Sana hugged him tightly and mumbled I love you to him. Anu smiled looking at them. She was so happy that her friend found someone who will take care of her and will stand by her. She was sure that Sidharth will not let Sana fall.

Sana too was sure that now she will not fall. There's someone to pick her up if she did. She was glad she had him. For once she was thankful for her fate that she got him.
