*Continues from the chapter ~Guardians*

Rapunzel POV

Everyone stares at North after he shouted a few seconds ago. "Okay new arrivals. We are the Guardians. We have been trying to stop Pitch Black for lifetimes," North starts. "We got an alert that the nightmares were attacking, and we went to stop them," he continues.

"I had it perfectly under control," Eritrea says under her breath. "No, you definitely didn't. You looked like you were about to drop from exhaustion, which would of got you and your friends killed," Tooth retorts.

"I don't need you to tell me what I can or cannot d-"

"Stop with the petty argument," North interrupts, cutting Eritrea off.

"Wait, so are you against your father now?" Bunny asks.

Eritrea sighs. "I've always been against him. It's just not easy to escape him," she explains. "It's true. When I was held captive, she would always try to search for ways of escape. She actually helped all of us escape this time too," I say.

"Let me get this straight," Hiccup starts.

"So this Eritrea is Pitch's daughter, and you guys all escaped the compound?" Hiccup asks. Me, Eritrea, Kristoff, and Eugene all nod.

"Well I'm glad you guys made it out okay," Anna says. "Have you guys caught wind on how Elsa is doing?" I ask them.

"Who is Elsa?" Kristoff asks. "That girl that came a long time ago with Jack... she had platinum blonde hair?" I try to explain.

He nods. "I think I remember... never mind," he says. "No... I haven't heard from her in forever," Astrid says.

"Can't you track her?" I ask North. He raises an eyebrow. "I have no idea who she is- no DNA samples, nothing. If maybe I had something related to her, then I could trace her," North says.

"Well I'm her sister...." Anna utters. "Great! Just let me extract some blood, and we will be good... I may be able to track her," North says. Anna nods, following North to some other hallway.

"Rapunzel... why is your hair brown?" Hiccup asks me. I sigh.

"Well... I kinda died... or at least was on the edge of death," I say. They all squint, looking at me perplexed.

"Okay... so what happened was.."

Elsa POV

I feel so stressed, so anxious- like I'm about to explode. I watch my feet as we walk down some dusty side road in the middle of nowhere.

"Lex.. is there anymore food left?" I ask. He stops walking and checks the bag, then pulling out a small pastry. "We're running out," he utters.

"How much longer until we get there?" Jack asks next to me. "About.. a days journey," Lex replies.

Lex faces forward again, and continues to walk. I sigh, following behind him. What he said before has been on my mind for the longest.

"Jack, hold on a second," I say to him. He raises an eyebrow. "Where are you going?" he asks. "I just need to talk to Lex for a second," I reply, smiling lightly at him.

I could see him shift uncomfortably. "Uh..." he stutters. He opens his mouth to say something else, but I stop him.

"Jack, just hold on a second. You have nothing to worry about- I promise," I reassure him. He nods.

I quickly catch up with Lex, tapping his arm. "Hey," I say, briefly smiling. "Yes?" He replies. "I'm not fully sure what you meant earlier," I utter.

"How? I think I made it clear," he states. I frown. "Not really... or maybe you did- I'm not sure," I say, looking down.

I feel dumb. This whole thing is confusing... but I don't want to jump to conclusions and think he has feelings for me.

"Elsa, if it isn't obvious- which I think it is, I like you," he says bluntly.

My eyes widened. "I L.I.K.E you. Do I need to repeat that?" he asks.

"Why?" I ask.

He shakes his head. "Why does it matter? Just be happy with your lover boy," he tells me. I frown. "But you can just tell me why," I mumble.

"Or we can just forget this conversation ever happened," he replies.

"We can't do that because you're still gonna act like you hate me!" I exclaim.

He rolls his eyes. "I don't hate you Elsa, it's just going to take me some time to get over it," he states.

"Okay well... just please stop acting that way. I want to talk to you normally again," I say.

He turns to look at me, and opens his mouth to say something-

"What are you guys talking about?" Jack asks from behind us.

Lex turns around. "Well, we are talking about how I-"

"It doesn't matter Jack," I say, cutting Lex off. Jack raises an eyebrow again. "It kind of does... especially if you're acting defensive all of a sudden," he comments.

He glare. "Can you just mind your business? I was talking to him alone for a reason!" I shout.

I don't even understand why I'm getting so angry- like I said before, I feel like I'm going to explode.

"Elsa, what's your problem?" he asks.

I feel myself get more upset by the second.

"Who hurt Merida? Was it Pitch- or you? I know it was one of you," I ask.

His breath hitches.

"I was thinking... there is no way a cliff could just collapse... it had to be something unusual," I uttered.

"So? Was it one of you?" I ask.

Everything just started triggering me.

Jack's face.

Lex's face.

The sky.

The ground.

Just everything was a trigger. Everything was a reminder of how bad life is at the moment.

"Elsa... look- I was under the-"

"Stop!" I shout.

"Stop using that darkness nonsense to back what you did!" I exclaim.

"I know Rapunzel didn't turn crazy like you did. She held on to her morality. You could of done that. You could of done that for me," I say, tears starting to gather in my eyes.

"But you didn't care... you just let the darkness take over you- you hurt Merida... you hurt me.. who else did you hurt?" I ask.

"Elsa... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry just listen for a second. I didn't-"

"No. I'm done listening. I don't want to talk to either of you anymore, please," I spit out.

Lex sighs. "Elsa," he calls.

I ignore him, and walking ahead. "Let's just get to the workshop please?" I say, leading the way.
