I called. No answer.
I called again. No answer again.
I turned around to go back up to get the car keys. I might have to go to school to see what had happened. I was so worried that when someone tapped on my shoulder, I reacted and became unbalanced on the half foot that was placed of the stair, I waited to met the beautiful Italian marble again but that didn't happen. Instead an arm was wrapped around my waist this time. I opened one eyes to see who the knight in shining armour was.
I opened my eyes only to be met by hazel eyes. Damn those eyes dude.
"What is it with you and stairs?", he said as he pulled me back up.
"These stairs", I corrected him.
"Are you good?", he asked and I nodded shyly, embarrassed on my carelessness.
"What was the emergency? Where is Ryan ?", I asked him.
"We forgot the cheque book for the payments, he is waiting in the car", he said and went up the stairs to get it.
I went out the door and pulled the drivers seat open where Ryan was and slapped him on his arm.
" What? Stop. Lue!"
"You fucking idiot, I panicked"
"Panicked, it's just a cheque book"
"You didn't mention in the text, did you?", i grumbled.
"That. Well I was just playing with you", he said poking my nose with his index finger. I grabbed his finger before he could pull it back.
"Don't you dare twist my finger", he said.
" emergency? Right?", I asked him.
"Fine, I apologise", he said.
Adam came out of the door with the cheque book. He chucked looking at Ryan holding his finger with the other hand.
"I feel for you Ryan", he said.
" Why do you always break the rules of brotherhood Adam?", said Ryan.
"Which rules?", he asked.
Adam winked at me and Ryan, well he looked pissed but funny kinda pissed.
"I don't wish to be turn on her bad side", Adam said looking at me.
"True, she always manages to make me apologise dude", he said.
"That's true", I said patting my back.
"We will see you in an hour then", said Adam.
"I was going home actually, need to ge ready for the evening ", I said.
"That's right then, we'll pick you from your place", said Ryan.
I stepped back from the car and closed the drivers door. They took off in a minute. I went back up, grabbed the car keys, wished Mr. Dankforth and left the house.
I came home to find my parents preparing my outfit for the evening.
They had already placed the peach coloured dress for me on the bed, matching eye shadow shades and lip gloss was already placed on the makeup table and a pair of matching peach coloured heels on the floor near the mirror. I hugged my mom for everything she had done.
I told her everything that had happened. My dad prepared lunch for us. We ate together and then they asked me to get ready it was already half passed three.

I showered and after drying my hair, I caked Olivia. She FaceTimed me and showed me her dress which was a red coloured A-line dress. She was doing her touch up. She looked fine, better than yesterday though. I didn't ask her anything about Carter, as she might cry and if I made her cry after she was done with her makeup, she would kill me. Literally.

I was ready at quarter to 6 and after seeing I still had time, I went down and sat on the couch.

Ryan texted me telling me he would pick me and Olivia, and Adam would be there with Carter.
Good. Olivia and Carter in different cats is definitely what we want.

The door bell rang exactly 20 minutes later.
"You are late", I said jokingly.
He looked at me from head to toe and said
"Wow you look beautiful", he looked into my eyes now," Lue", and for the first time since I've known him, I saw a different spark in his eyes, when he said my name that is.
Not knowing how should I react to this new Ryan that I hadn't met before, I smiled.
"Thank you Ryan"
" You look spectacular", I said and he actually did, in a black linen suit jacket arms pushed back till the elbows, a white v neck t shirt under it, with black slim fit jeans.
And as I said that, the Ryan I knew was back.
His iconic smile. By iconic I mean the bad boy smile.
" I always look ....", he wanted to say something Ryan-ish, but before he could do so, my parents came to the door.
"Hello to the man who looks so dashing, and to the women who is an ageless beauty", said Ryan wishing them.
"Ahhhh Ryan, you are such a darling", my mom said while my dad smiled at him.
"I guess we should leave then", I said.
" Have fun", my parents said to us, I hugged them and we stepped towards the car.
"Allow me", said Ryan opening he passengers seat for me.
"Cliché, absolute", I said laughing, and he chuckled.
After closing my door, he jogged to the other side of the car and stepped in the accelerator after turning the engine on.
We waited on the couch while talking to Mr. and Mrs. Brosnan at Olivia's.
"You look so graceful sweety",Mrs. Brosnan said looking at me.
Ryan cleated his throat reminding me he choose the dress. Olivia's mom looked at him in confusion.
" Thank you, he actually choose the dress", I explained.
"Ohhhh, then why didn't he pay attention on his attire", she said jokingly.
Olivia's parents and I laughed at this, while Ryan sat in complete silence with a light smile on his face.
"You look good, Champ", Mr. Brosnan said.
"He is my man", said Ryan making all of us laugh again.
As I was about to hold the glass of water as my throat felt dry, we heard a scream from upstairs.
