One phone call,that is all it takes to change your life. One minute you are finally finding happiness, and the next you are crying on the bathroom floor of your New York City apartment. Or at least,that's how it was for Gianina.

She had two choices, she could keep pretending her old life with her brothers and Katherine didn't exist or she could go back. Gia swore she would never return yet, as she dried her tears in her small bathroom mirror, in her shoebox apartment the idea became more and more appealing.

She did miss both Damon and Stefan,they are her brothers of course. If they needed help, she would provide it to them and come back but, she kept wondering why they needed her. They never called, never wrote, the only time she seen Damon is when he was tearing his way through New York about 20-30 years ago and they argued like crazy.

As for Stefan,she hasn't seen him in over 100 years. As his older sister, she had no intentions of putting up with his disrespect in the early days of his transformation so, she up and left not because she stopped caring about him but, simply because she cared about herself far too much to constantly be ridiculed for being a "stick in the mud."

As for Katherine, Gianina would be lying if she didn't admit her heart still yearned for the Pierce girl. Kat was her first...well everything. It took a long time for her to forget the girl and now she's alive? What does one do in a time like this?

Gianina did not do what a normal person would have done. Well,ba normal person wouldn't be in a preposterous situation such as this one. She decided to pack up her things, leave New York ,and go to Mystic Falls. A decision that would drastically change her otherwise normal life.
