"Oh No Zach... Let me go," she said as a laughter set out of her throat. She was wrapped up in Zach's arms, trying to be free as she tried to push him away, but Zach was at his notorious best and tighten his hold, grinning at her in the most handsomest way. 

Amelia pretended to be angry at him, because she was scared Sam and Rachel might turn up anytime. 

They were in the garden, watering the plants together when Amelia mischievously started pouring water on him and that resulted in him catching her and closing her in a tight hug. 

"Just one kiss as a punishment for making me wet," Zach said huskily as he gazed at her face with his eyes.

"Later... Not now, please. Rachel and Sam might appear any moment..."

He put his finger on her lips with a,"Ssshh... They are busy with our baby." And, he lowered his face upon her, but as he was beginning to kiss and let go of his grip on her body, she made use of the moment and pushed him away, running away with a gurgle of laughter,"Sorry, Zach... I said later." 

He followed her again and as she was running she slipped off on the mud due to the wetness on the ground. He immediately grabs hold of her and pulled her back in his arms,"Mrs slipper feet  Mc Cord, my arms are a better place to fall in than those sticky muddy ground." They both laughed over the situation. They always meet at "A Fall".

Just then, Sam and Rachel's voice alerted them and they straightened their composure. Amelia was giggling as she watched Zach's muttering something to himself as he heard the voices.

Rachel and Sam came and exchanged funny glances as Rachel told Amelia that the baby might need a feed. She looked at Zach with a sorry full wink which everyone noticed and laughed at it together.

They were a happy family. Something Amelia had always wanted and dreamt of having.

Her baby was also in it. She touched her womb lightly and smiled. Zach had said it to be “Our Baby” and it felt so nice.

Amelia woke up with a pleasant and contended smile on her face. She stretched her arms lazily as she tried to recall the moments she had with Zach in her dream. She felt like hugging herself and going back to sleep so that she can dream about him, see them... All of them together.

But, that's not reality, her head warned her. It's escapism. Reality has a different picture.

It was all a dream. 

She realized her foolishness and made herself understood that a dream is just a dream. It has no connection with reality. It was her heart’s wish that was pictured through a dream. It was not just a dream. It was her heart’s wish. A wish that can never be fulfilled.

Half an hour later

A message from Zach in her mobile made her sad. She was ready for breakfast and was about to step out of her room when her mobile buzzed. 

Zach: Hey, hope you're awake by now. I am sorry, I couldn't inform you before about my travel plans. It was a last minute decision for doing important matter. I'll be back soon. Take Care.

Her heart was upset. In spite of all the reasons that reality threw upon her, the dream had made her longed to see him. She hurried up to catch him at breakfast so that she can spend some time with him before he leaves got work. But, it seemed like destiny had other plans. She re-read the message again and wondered where he is hearing too. Curiosity piqued her and she typed in asking, "Where are you going?"

She waited, hoping he will reply. He did after a few minutes.

Zach: To London

Amelia: Oh, I See. Where are you now?

Zach: In the terminal. About to board the plane. Have you taken your breakfast?

Amelia: Will have now. Take Care, Zach.

Zach: I will. You take care too.

Amelia stared at the messages for some time. She wanted to type in something, but couldn't. A nausea hit her throat. She was already feeling alone. She wondered how her life will be when she will be leaving everyone and moving on. How will she live without him?

A ring on her mobile intervened into her thoughts. She saw the caller and a smile and a tear followed together. She immediately picked the call.

"Amelia..."

"Hmm"

"I am missing not having our little chat at the breakfast table." Zach said huskily. His voice quiet and hoarse. She wanted to add 'Me too' but words were not coming out. Her thirst felt heavy.

"I have to go now, Amelia. Take care. See you soon."

"Soon," was all she could say.

A little pause as he thinks ‘When I'm with you, hours feel like mere seconds, but away from you even for a while, makes me feel  like I have travelled down the years all alone’ and then he asked her almost holding his breath, hoping for a positive response from her,"Will you miss me, Amelia?"

Oh Zach... Only if I could show you his much I am missing you already, she thought as she sighed. She does not know if it will be right to say so or not, but her heart wants her to listen to what it says. It wanted her to tell him the truth and make his journey pleasurable and not sadden him. 

"I will... I will miss you, Zach" She whispered softly. He let out a deep breath and was almost quiet, if not believing he heard right, 

She will miss him. He rejoiced. Life, suddenly had some meaning. There was done someone waiting for his return. Someone he loves.... "I will miss you too, Amelia."

 I know, Zach she said to herself. "Pleasant trip, Zach."

He wished her goodbye and disconnected the call. He was beaming with excitement and cheer as he moved girl are in the line to board the plane, talking to himself, 'This is for you, Amelia. I had planned this for you, while you were sleeping. I will be back soon with a lovely surprise for you.'

I don’t need surprises Zach, your presence can never be replaced with anything, Amelia thought as she recalled her dream and a smile came to her lips even though tears filled her eyes. She stared out of the window looking at the sky as if she can see his plane and said,”I am missing you already, Zach and I feel  lucky to have you in my life to miss. I never had missed anyone the way I miss you... Come back soon.”

Then her mind  wondered what might have come up in such a short notice when the entire country is having Christmas holidays. Just two more days left for Christmas, her heart was full of happiness. It was her first Christmas with Zach... His family... Her family... even if she cannot be part of it forever. His family will be her family too, always. 

All dreams cannot come true, All hopes cannot be fulfilled, not all prayers gets answered, she knows. Yet, she considers herself lucky to have the impossible happen to her even if it cannot last forever.

Zach’s plane lands at the London airport. He had an air of confidence and determination to deal with what had brought him here. His lips twitched in a smile as he imagined Amelia’s happy face when he will reveal to her the surprise he has planned for her. His mind focussed on its mission as he stepped out of the airport and drove towards his destination.

An hour later, he opens his car gate to come out of it as his eyes shone with happiness when his feet touched the ground of the place where he had first seen Amelia. He had come here for a purpose and he will make sure it is done. He gave a satisfied smile to himself and walked inside the main door to enter the office area. He looked around to check on the kids, but none were present there. They must be at training sessions, he thought and glided through the main entrance leading to the official department.

It was past noon when Zach’s work was done. He gave a triumphant smile at that, rejoicing in his heart that he could do something for Amelia to bring her a little more happiness. She deserves more, a lot more.  He signed some important papers which were due to be signed by him as he was coming here after a long time. He cleared all of them, dealt with all other issues that needed his advice and judgement and when he was free, he checked his mobile hoping to get a message from Amelia.

There were none. It didn’t upset him. He knew, she must be missing him as well, but feels awkward to show. He can understand her. Given her place and situations, he would have felt the same way. To be honest, he was feeling a bit reserved in messaging her too, but then an idea stuck here and he messaged her.

Zach: I hope you have had your lunch by now, or at least preparing to have it.

As he hoped, his text was replied back instantly.

Amelia: Just about to. I’m at the dining table already. What about you?

Zach: I will be having in a little while. Say my ‘Hi’ to Gran and Sam.

Amelia blushed at the suggestion. She knew both the ladies had been keeping an eye on her as they served food on their plates. She, anyways, tried to ignore their laughing eyes and stated, “Zach said ‘Hi’ to both of you.”

Both replied in unison, “Convey ‘Hi” to him as well. And, Rachel acted a little wickedly and asked her to add,’Tell him I love you and miss you” as she winked at Sam with a glint in her eyes. Sam related to it and shared a smile.

Amelia almost fell down from the chair. How on earth can she tell him that. Sam giggled and Her eyes went wide as Rachel laughed and corrected,” I mean.. Me... tell him I am missing him.”

Amelia coughed slightly and said, “Of course...” and typed the same to Zach. Her fingers almost shaking as she typed the words. It was like channeling her own feelings.

Zach: Tell her, I love her and miss her more.

As Amelia was passing his message to Rachel, Another message from him, followed: I’m missing you too, Amelia. More than Gran, but do not tell her.

It was a meaningful and serious message, but Zach lightened it up with his humor by adding those words and a winking smiley. And, she laughed. A bright, cheerful laugh that pleased both Rachel and Sam and sensing their observing eyes, Amelia quickly texted a ‘bye’ to him and focussed on her food.

Amelia felt uncomfortable with the two ladies watching him, but she wanted to read his text, even if it was a ‘bye’. She lowered her lashes and checked in her mobile.

Zach: I need a reply :/

Oh  Zach... her heart dissolved as she imagined his un-happy expression.

She texted: I miss you, I don’t know what else to say.

Zach’s face beamed with happiness as he read her text. Without saying anything clearly she had definitely said a lot. He texted her ‘bye” and drove towards his office to deal with other things that needed urgent attention.

Rachel was on phone when Amelia was walking by the coir door, she heard Rachel praising Meg and saying how much she loves her and how she thinks that she and Zach would make a perfect match. Amelia was stunned. Her heart beating faster. Her emotions invading her secret feelings and torturing her. It was hard for her to decide which was worse, what she is feeling at the moment or being caught by Rachel or anyone for that matter overhearing Rachel’s personal conversation. She walked fast towards her room hurriedly and closed the door of her room.

Rachel and Sam saw her and clapped hands in unison, believing that their plan have worked and this might make Amelia think and not let go of the second chance that life has given her.
