Chapter 3
Darren and I laughed as we walked away from the restaurant. Luckily, the paparazzi had left after Chris left because they thought that he would have to be the last to leave because it was his party after all.
Idiots.
We got into Darren’s car and he turned the radio on. The song Last Friday Night was playing and I started to laugh as did Darren. He started to sing along and I joined in laughing.
We got some strange looks from people who were at the traffic lights beside us but we just ignored them. We cheered once the song ended and Darren quickly took his eyes off the road to give me a high-five.
I quickly high-fived them but scolded him. “Darren! Eyes on the road!” He chuckled and diverted his attention back to the road. He turned the radio off.
“So let’s do 20 questions but with 5 questions.” He spoke cheerfully. I laughed at his random suggestion but I went along with it and let him ask me questions.
“Family?”
“Only my dad. My mum left when I was a month old, and I’m an only sibling.”
Darren looked guilty. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked.”
I brushed him off. “It’s fine, my dad doesn’t really keep in touch with me. He pays my bills in return for not speaking to him. Apparently I look too much like my mother. He couldn’t wait for me to move out.”
He patted my back. “Next question?” I asked after a moment’s silence.
He nodded and continued. “Age?”
(A/N I know Darren is in his late twenties, but in this story everyone in the glee cast that plays a teenager is about 18-21.)
“18! It was my birthday a few months ago!” He grinned and smiled.
“Ha-ha! I’m 21!” I was surprised; even though I was a huge fan I had thought he was younger.
We continued playing the game until he pulled up at my house. “What time do you need to be on set?” He yelled out the window as I unlocked my door.
“5am!” I groaned out and he laughed loudly. He saluted and he started the engine on his car back up.
“I’ll be here by half 4 then!” And before I could answer, he sped out my driveway leaving me gasping like a fish out of water.
“That man.” I muttered to myself as I closed the door behind me and locking it.
I decided to just sleep so I turned everything off and I lay in my bed for an hour just thinking about the events of the day.
‘Wow. I’m on glee.’
NEXT DAY
I was woken up by my alarm. The chorus of ‘Long Live’ by Taylor Swift blared out of my phone. I rolled out of my bed and turned it off.
I quickly got ready and once I finally had sat down to watch a bit of TV, Darren rang the doorbell. I groaned and turned the TV off before grabbing my letterman jacket and putting it on.
I opened the door and he instantly handed me a Starbucks Hot Chocolate. I raised an eyebrow as I sat in his passenger seat.
“So you did listen yesterday!” I exclaimed faking surprise.
“Of course! I remember you saying you don’t like tea or coffee so I got this at the same time as I got my coffee!” He waved his cup in my face.
I laughed and gently shoved the cup out of my face. As we pulled up on to set Darren pulled into a car space that had his name on it. I raised my eyebrow.
“You have a parking space?” I questioned flatly. He chuckled at my tone.
“I actually am the only who drives here every day so they donated a space for me as a birthday present.” I laughed and messed up his already curly hair as I walked beside him. He started tickling my side and we both started laughing.
We were interrupted by a cough and we turned around to see a smirking Chris and a tired Ryan.
“Chris, Darren you are needed in the make-up trailer!” Ryan exclaimed. Darren hugged me and ran off cheering, dragging Chris away by the wrist.
“Now, we’ve decided your character is only going to be on the season for the remaining episodes, but if we get a huge response we might write you into next season! Is that okay?” Ryan asked me as we walked towards a building.
The sun was rising and I think Ryan could tell it was getting in my eyes. He quickly jogged over to a golf buggy type car and reached in the pocket and pulled out a pair of black Ray-Bans. He handed them to me as he put his on.
“It’s a welcome glee gift. Everyone gets a pair on their first day but if you want you can wear your own.” He spoke as I placed them on over my eyes.
“Thank you! Of course it’s okay, it’s your TV show not mine!” I spoke politely. Ryan laughed as he threw an arm over my shoulder.
“I like you already! You’re much more polite than Darren. He just runs around screaming.” I laughed and we walked into the grey building. We both pushed our sunglasses onto the top of our heads. As we walked in I saw someone skipping over to us.
It was Dianna Agron. “Hey Ryan! Hey Ciara? That’s your name isn’t it?” She asked, really happy even though it was like 5am. Everyone was happy here. Maybe they get stuff put in their coffees and teas? I bet Darren drugged mine.
“Yeah haha! That’s me!” I said happily and I held my hand out of a handshake. Dianna ignored my hand and pulled me into a hug.
“Don’t break her Dianna. She’s new.” Ryan jokingly said and the three of us laughed.
