As days passed by, their bond grew tighter. Even their friends started to get an idea of what was going on. But neither Mitali nor Adi were ready to say it in front of them. They were too shy, I guess?

Anyways, a week after their exams were over, and winter break had begun, the gang was hanging out at Sahil's. Of course his father wasn't there! When there was a knock on the door,

Sahil: Who is it?

Person: Sahil, it's us. Open up.

Sahil smiled and got up to open the door,while the rest sat clueless.

Sahil ushered the two people in and closed the door behind them.

Shanu: Arey Kavya Bhabhi!

Saying that,she went and hugged Kavya.

Kavya: Yaar ye Sahil ki lat Tujhe bhi lag gayi hai na! Kitni baar kaha hai! Yeh Bhabhi vabhi mat bula please!

Except for Mitali and Daksh, the rest of the gang laughed.

Mitali: Um.....guys,uh......humein bhi iss inside joke mein shamil karo. Mai or Daksh to clueless hi baithe hai.

Daksh nodded in agreement.

Sahil: Sorry,guys.....voh....Mai hi bhul Gaya. Mitali,Daksh....this is my brother Jai.

Jai: Hi.

Mitali: Hi. (turning to Kavya)And you, I'm guessing are his girlfriend?

Kavya(blushing): Fiancee and soon-to-be wife!

Mitali: Oh My God! Congrats!

Daksh: Congratulations!

Kavya and Jai: Thank you!

Sahil: Oh and bhaiya, she's Mitali and (pointing at Daksh) that's Daksh. I think you already know the rest.

Jai: Yeah, of course. Nice to meet you guys!

Mitali: Thanks. So...if you don't mind me asking, when's the special day?

Jai: Yeah, we came to talk to you about that.....

Shanu: What about it?

Kavya: Um.....we actually have decided a date.

Sahil: Whoa! When did that happen?

Jai: This morning. Before Dad left, the pandits came and fixed the date.

Sahil: (bitterly) Of course. He didn't want me to be there, right?

Shanu squeezed his hand and shook her head slightly.

Jai: What? No. Of course not, Sahil. Why wouldn't he want.....

Sahil: You know what,it doesn't matter....... I'm happy for you guys! And I'm not gonna spoil my mood!

He looked at Shanu and smiled. She returned a smile.

Anu: So when's the special day?

Jai: 31st December.

Ruhaan: On New year's?

Kavya nodded.

Taps: But that's like in a week and a half. You sure you'll be able to get all the preparations done?

Jai: Yeah,the pandits said that it's like a , you know, a shubh din to get married and you know, there may not be any good dates till May.

Mitali: (imitating a pandit) Ha balike! Isse behtar samein ho hi nahi sakta! Aapke ghraho mein kuch dosh hai! (In own voice) Saare pandito ka yeh fixed dialogue hota hai.

The others laughed out loud.

Kavya: Anyways, guys, the point is hum tum sab ko invite karne aaye hai. Tum logo se uncle bohot impressed hai because of the grand success of the college fest. Or in hone specifically kaha hai ki tum sab ko aana hai!

The gang smiled at each other.

Kavya: Especially you, Mitali. Voh tumse bohot impressed hai!

Mitali (dramatically): MR. Rudra Maheshwari , MUJHSE impressed hai? Haayeee Mai to mar hi jaungi itni Khushi k mare!

The others laughed. Even Sahil did.

Jai: To guys, apni jo bhi shopping vagera hai voh sab jaldi kar lena thik hai? Hum do din mein Goa ke liye niklenge!

The gang chorused: GOA?!

Kavya: Ha baba, Goa! Uncle ne destination wedding ka plan bohot pehle hi bana liya tha. So....

Adi: Wow, dude, Goa! Goa ki parties! Go ki ladies.....

Mitali raised a brow and crossed her arms in front of her chest, causing Adi to stammer.

Adi:(stammering) I mean.....Goa ki beaches.... beauty...... you know, uh... natural.... beauty!

The others laughed while Mitali just shook her head.

Kavya: Anyways, guys hum do din mein niklenge so....be ready okay?

The gang smiled and nodded.
After a few pleasantries, the couple left. Once they were gone,

Mitali: Vaise ek baat kehni padegi.....dono ek saath kaafi cute dikhte hai, nahi?

Taps: True.

Anu: Exactly. They are so cute together 😍

Shanu: Sach mein.

Mitali: Vaise Shanu isse tera to fayda ho Gaya!

Shanu: Matlab?

Mitali: Arey issi bahane tu apne sasuma se mil legi!

Shanu spit out the water she had just gulped. The gang broke into fits of laughter, while Sahil looked embarrassed.

Shanu: Hey bhagwan! Yeh to Maine Socha hi nahi!

Anu: Tu itna tension Kyu le rahi hai Shanu? Itna acha to mokka hai. Aur Vaise bhi....Sahil to tere sath hoga hi na? Kyu Sahil?

Sahil: Ha.....ha of course!

Shanu: Voh sab to thik hai par agar Mai unhe pasand nahi aayi to?

Ruhaan: Tujh jaisi bholi ko Kon napasand kar sakta hai Shanu?

Shanu: Par....

Sahil grabbed her by shoulder and said,

Sahil: Shayantani......aisa kuch nahi hone vala, alright? My mom's gonna love you. She is a really sweet lady. She'll surely like you.

Shanu: You sure?

Sahil: Yes, of course I am. Don't worry, alright?

Saying that,he cupped her face with his hands.

Mitali:( to the others) Um.....guys, I think that's our cue to leave.

The others chuckled while Mitali earned a glare from Shanu.

Shanu: Tujhe bari hasi aa rahi hai na? Tu ruk ! Abhi batati hu tujhe!

Saying that,she grabbed a pillow and threw it at Mitali. Mitali ducked at the right time and the pillow hit Tapasya.

Shanu: Sorry Tapasya! Yeh Mitali.....

But before she could finish her sentence, she was hit by a pillow. Tapasya was grinning like anything.

Taps: Who said adults can't have a pillow fight?

Shanu gaped and threw the pillow again. This time it hit Daksh.

Daksh: Who said you guys were adults?!

They cheered as they all engaged in that ruckus pillow fight!

We live for these moments, don't we?!
