An Insight

Hey guys! So you're probably wondering what this chapter's about. Okay, so this is just an explanation that I felt like giving you guys since there were some clashes of opinions expressed in the comment section for the last few chapters.

Okay, so hear me out and please read this till the end.

When I started writing Rishi's character, I already decided that he wasn't gonna be a permanent fixture in the story. But then I felt like I made him too cute and I just kept on writing about him and wrote a lot more than it was already planned.

As I have mentioned in most of the last chapters that Mitali and Rishi were friends before anything.

Rishi was mainly there to remind Mitali that she was capable of moving on and most importantly, loving herself again.

Rishi is one of my favourites. He is a pure gem and sweetheart. One of the comments even said that Rishi was so great to have sacrificed his love for Mitali. And that's where my point lies.

Through this story, I wanted to show people that different aspects of love.

Tapasya and Ruhaan's story shows you the cute story of when two best friends fall in love.

Sahil and Shanu's story show how love empowers you to be someone's pillar and stand by someone no matter what.

Daksh and Ananya's story shows that just because you've lost in the game of love once doesn't mean you are incapable of it. You get to move on and be with someone who would love you the way you do.

Adi and Mitali's story shows the very dynamism of love. Love isn't all cherry sweet and nice. It hurts. There are misunderstandings, break ups, fights , mistakes that happen when you decide to walk the path of love. While it has rose petals, there are thorns in that path too.

Some of y'all blamed Adi for hurting Mitali, even if it was unintentional. But y'all never questioned why Mitali didn't bother to talk it out with Adi? Why didn't she ask him whether he gave Trisha the ring?

That was because they both are new in this arena. Tell me, when you started playing chess, did you know all the moves in the first game that you ever played? No, right?

That is exactly what I'm trying to say here. They both made mistakes. They let their ego get the best of them. And that's where it all went downhill.

The truth is, none of us are easy to date, deal with and please all the time. We have vices, attitudes, and way of doing things which make us unique. You won't like everything about somebody, that's impossible. This is life, it isn't about finding the perfect person, there's no such thing. It isn't about living some happily ever after fairytale. It's about finding someone you're willing to work for, and who is willing to work for you. It's simple yet so hard to achieve.

This is what happens when you are in a relationship with someone. The ego of ours has the capacity to break bonds within the twitch of an eye.

But then again, great relationships aren't great because they don't have problems. They're great because they get through their problems together. And that's what Adi and Mitali finally understood at the end.

Real love is the most beautiful thing in this world, most especially if it is reciprocated. A person who really loves you will stand by you through thick and thin. Even if you make mistakes and hurt that person, they would still be willing to forgive you.

What Rishi did is something that takes a lot of guts for a person to do. Letting go of someone you've loved your entire life is the hardest possible thing. But he did that because he knew that even if he got engaged to Mitali, he would never be able to make her feel the same way about him that he felt. Keeping her to himself will cause both of them pain cause watching someone you love be in love with someone else while they are with you hurts like hell.

He was the kind of love that she wanted and deserved and now that she's had a glimpse of it, she knows what she wants. She knows how she wants to be loved.

For those of you who are #TeamMishi , I know you're disappointed but this was how the story was supposed to go. Rishi was very cute to write about and I definitely understand why you're on his side.

Of course you're entitled to your opinions and views on how this book should've progressed. If you choose to hate the book and me for not giving you the ending that you wanted, I won't stop you.

Also, there's an announcement that I wanted to make. So since a lot of you wanted a happier ending for Rishi and also some of you even asked for a sequel of this book, I was thinking of maybe writing a short story of 30 chapters for Rishi and maybe a possible new love interest. It'll not be a sequel to this book but just a small gift to my Mishi readers.

But ofcourse again, my boards are approaching. So I'll probably take a hiatus once I finish the first book of the Secrets And Sins series( yes! there's gonna be two parts for Secrets And Sins). So this book would probably be published next year after my boards are over.

Okay let me try something here! If you guys get YBTM to 20k votes and 70k reads by the end of this year, I'll write a short story about Rishi.

Seri?

Tell me in the comments below if you're in!

With that, I take your leave. Hope I didn't bore you with my rants.

Love you loads,
Bosedisha
