I was sipping filter coffee looking outside the window, lost in my thoughts that's when I heard a voice under the table, firstly I ignored it but when I heard it again I peep under the table to get awestruck, a small baby girl around 4 year old was sitting under the table, I ruffed her hairs lovingly and asked her to come out but she wasn't in a mood to come out so I offer her my favourite chocolate, she think for a while sucking her thumb, and then she decided to come out

"Hello cutie, I am nandini and what's your  good name?? " I asked her making her sit on my lap but she didn't said anything and gave me that chocolate to unwrap it,

I called the manager of that cafe to ask about her parents but he was clueless, I thought to talk to the police about this matter, I take my purse which was kept on the table and was about to pick her up in my arms but a man came there and takes her in his arms....

"Oho pihu baby where were you?? I missed you so much, please don't pull this stunt again on me
Papa told you to sit there na?? Then why did you ran away??? "

I immediately recognised his voice, how can i forget this voice which is still echoed in my heart........

My eyes became teary, after so long I saw him, he turn towards me to thank me, I quickly bent down my head to hide my tears.....

"Thank you so much for taking care of my baby, btw hii I am manik, manik malhotra, would you like to have a cup of coffee with us as a thank you treat?? "

I moved my head Horizontally without looking upward and turn back to run from there but I lost my balance and before I could fallen down one strong pair of arms hold me securely, for the first time after 5 years I was looking in his deep brown eyes to get completely lost in it......
His touch still effect me, I was melting under his touch, he was making me weak....

"Pumpkin..... " That's what he utter after seeing my face , I pushed him and stand on my feet I tried to hide my tears from my hairs and looked in another side to wipe it,

"Pumpkin where were you these 5 years???" Saying this he takes me in his arms, I wanted to protest but I fall weak because I guess I was also missing his warmth  ......
But then I control my emotions and pushed him by saying

"Yeah I can see that how much you missed me, now you have a daughter and a happy family what else you want mr manik  malhotra?? From next time please try to take care of your daughter "

Before he could say anything I ran away from there, I knew that he never loved me it was just me who loved him, he already moved on in his life that's why I left everything then why does it still hurt???
Why I hate the fact that I am not the mother of his daughter?? Why I still want him in my life inspite of his deception? ?
