I'm sorry that this chapter is going to be short, but I wanted to update the story for anyone reading. I'm still trying to get a good plot line down and I'm working more on character development so look forward to that. Enjoy!!!

Chapter 2

Chat Noir/ Adrien POV

I leapt up onto the rooftop and ran back toward the akuma. As I ran, I thought about Marinette. She looked so scared and helpless and looked so genuinely concerned for my safety, but that was my reaction for her. It was a good thing I had gotten out of class right when the akuma attack had started or she may have gotten hurt. With my normal life as Adrien Agreste, I knew Marinette from school. She was a shy girl who loved fashion and usually tripped over her own feet, but had a heart of gold. She was beautiful inside and out and was nice to everyone she met. She was strong and independent when she needed to be and that was something I admired about her. She reminded me so much of Ladybug, but I guess she didn't think so. I would often bring up Ladybug and Chat Noir as a topic of discussion in class because that was a popular topic to talk about at our school. However, when I brought up the topic, Marinette usually wouldn't bat an eye. She told me how cool she thought Ladybug and Chat Noir were through her occasional stuttering, but never showed any sign of ever knowing anything more.

As I ran with this thought in my head, I came across the akumitized victim once more. Her smile was even deeper and sent a chill down my spine. She looked at me, shot her laser and the fight was on. I looked around every chance that I could to see if Ladybug would show up, but she hadn't yet, so I continued to fight alone. After fighting for sometime without getting much of anywhere, I began to ask myself...

"Ladybug, where are you?" I whispered under my breath. But just as I said that, I saw a flash of red out of the corner of my eye and heard a growl from the akuma victim. As I looked over, I saw Ladybug standing at the edge of the building we were on with one hand on her hip, smiling.

"Sorry I'm late for the party" She said as she smiled and winked at me, "Chat, Where's the akuma?"

"It's in her hairclip" I said. The akuma today was a hair designer who had some bad luck with a client. Hawkmoth found her as perfect bait and sent an akuma to the innocent girl.

"Give me your miraculous' or I will destroy you!!!!!!" The girl screamed as she stood before us.

"No can do, but I love a good cat fight. Just try not to mess up my purr-fect hair day" I said as I smiled at the girl. Ladybug sighed and made a plan in which I followed her in and by the time we were done, the akuma was captured.

"I release you from evil" Ladybug yelled as she scooped up the akuma into her yoyo.

"Gotcha!! Bye bye butterfly." She said as she released the newly cleansed butterfly into the skies of Paris.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" And just like that, Paris was back to normal.

"Pound it!" We said in unison as another akuma had been stopped. And again, in unison, our miraculous beeped, informing us we would transform back soon.

"Gotta go. See you later My Lady." I said as I vaulted away on my staff.

Ladybug/Marinette POV

"See you later, Chat." I said as I slung my yoyo out towards a building and flew off towards my home.

After sometime of swinging around, I knew my transformation would wear off before I would get home.

"I should have left a little earlier, Tikki." I said talking to my kwami in my earrings.

"It'll be okay, no one's around that I can see from here anyway. I think the coast is clear." She told me.

"Okay, if you're sure." I said, and I let my transformation wear off in the park under the cover of the evening.

"Wow, that was close. That akuma battle also took forever. It was after lunch when it started and it's almost 6pm now. She sure was tough, huh Tikki."

"Yeah, but it's over now. We should go home and get some sleep. You have school tomorrow remember." She said to me.

"Yeah, your right Tikki. Let's go home." I said as I tucked her into my purse and proceeded to walk home.
