"Thank you" Neil leaned to her from behind and whispered over her ears. Avni flinched, a gasp came out of her mouth, her hands went to her chest with his sudden presence. Though she knew he would be there soon but still he startled her by his voice precipitated. Neil held her shoulder, kissed on her side head before he moved to the front.
"Kisliye!" Her querrisome gaze grew upward, followed Neil took his seat across the table opposite side.
Avni had a conference, she wore that dark pink saree, Neil has bought for her when they went for few last minute shop for Aravi. ( Ch-3)
"Abhi kar nahi sakta, there're so many people around you see" there were a devilish smirk grazed on his lips.
"Kya bakreheho" Avni snapped, narrowed her eyes. Her gaze fell on his lips then averted at his eyes peered in mischief.
"Tunehito kaha kiss karneko..to!" Neil deliberately left the sentence incomplete. His bro raised one side, lips curved smothering some secret amusement.
"Don't you think you talk too much now days. And all rubbish they are" Avni hissed and averted her gaze to the menu showing her exasperated. Whereas inwardly her stomach churned by the words he enuntiated.
"Who!" He leaned to her, his eyes appeared an innocent.
"Tum. Happy! ab bataogey thank you Kyun kaha!" She scowled putting the menu down her grip.
"Haan to aisa bolneka" Neil gave his most sinless grin.
"For wearing this saree. Love you" his playfulness disappeared and his eyes held love.
"Bass itni chotisi baat k liye love you!" Now Avni punned, transformed her mood into glee.
"To Kya karu tu isse bada kuch kartihi nahi" Neil scrunched his nose, made a bore face but ended in a slight chuckle.
"Neil!" Her eyes widened in a glare. Her face turned red against her will.
"Okay finger on my lips" he literally put his finger on his lips and faux sulked.
"There is something we need to talk about" her face left all perkiness. Her gaze took a glance around adjusting herself to get into a proper talk with him.
As decided last night they will meet ,they have come for lunch to a nearby restaurant to Neil's office, nor much closer to her clinic so that none could get to see them together and have some other ideas. Because their equation has changed now, it's never the same anymore.
"Avu.
Not again." He shoot a glare.
"Hey bhagobaan ami ake niye ki Kori!" Sighing she slapped on her forehead and shook tiredly. ( God what would I do with this man)
"What!" He almost about to shout but immediately lowered his voice keeping the surrounding in his head.
"Nothing" she shrugged off.
And calming down himself Neil called out for waiter. They ordered the food.
And when the waiter left Neil brought his sceptical gaze to her, leaned against his seat. His arms crossed.
"I just want to...." She started but cut off immediately.
"I'm not going to listen any of your useless chatting" his words came out in heavy awful breath. His eyes condensed.
"Arey sunto lo. It's not about us. I mean technically not but related to us" saying the last sentence she took few glances over him preparing herself for proceeding further.
"Listen if you are planning to start again Avi, I swear, I will kill you right now and then I'll kill myself" He warned, his jaws flexed displaying his aggravation. And she gulped looking at his hard determined face.
"It's about me and Sweta Mom" she spoke meekly, blew a causious sigh.
"What Mom has done now" Neil leaned slightly forward, his elbow supported on the table surface, his eyes knitted a bit assuming any unwanted forthcoming event on his way.
"You know na she is planning Juhi with you!" She fiddled his finger, licked her lips once nervously. Her gaze dropped.
"So!" His eyes rose.
"So she wants me to arrange something behind you. And she also took her number from me today" her eyes rose straight at him stating all the events she had with Sweta Mom regarding Juhi during the wedding.
" Hummm" he heaved a deep sigh.
"And you gave!" He asked, his voice demanding.
"Nope I said you will call her" she mocked gnawing. "Obviously Neil what else I could have done. Did I have any other options instead not giving it to her" she glowered but instantly her eyes softened. And on the other side watching her, Neil's forehead creased, discontented.
"Now what Neil" her voice shrunk waiting for him to speak.
"What do you mean by Now what." His stern voice came out of the blue.
"Everything is fine. You don't worry Neil haina tera" his hands held hers followed by a tender gaze of promising her.
"You know what! there is something more I want to say you" Avni composed, hesitantly spoke.
"What" he waited in a unsure gaze for her to continue.
"I think Juhi likes Ayan" she stated in a close to conformation smile.
"Achha!" His eyes narrowed a slight doubtful smile crept on his lips too.
"And what about Ayan" he asked, his eyes roamed over her face curiously.
"I don't know" she shrugged her shoulder, let out a sigh. Neil blew out a deep sigh watching her, he forced a smile later.
After some few minutes of awkward silence, their lunch finally arrived.
And they got into a good time having the food and abruptly their conversation shifted to some other random everyday involvement. While both were inside thinking the solutions soon for the same events. But they put it aside later for the moment, obviously not delaying for much longer.
*********
"Hey did the photographer put any exact date! when he will going to deliver the photo Albums" Asking Reyaansh advanced his steps to the balcony. Next second he was found holding the balustrade and stood beside Neela. Neela was sitting in a handcrafted chair close to the balcony fence. Her pensive gaze were somewhere blankly across the street. They just had their dinner.
"Might be this week. he has called me today morning" she answered in a contemplative tone.
"Ooh achha that's good" Reyaansh beamed, leaned to the wall behind and his face towards his wife opposite him.
"Yup" she heaved a sigh, didn't avert her eyes at him.
"Hey what happened" his eyes creased a bit, his larynx held concern. He noticed her nonchalant face.
"Nothing" she replied indistinctly.
"Nope there is something.
Tell me" he insisted, his arms crossed.
"Aravi. I'm worried about Aravi" Neela brought her eyes at him straight that made Reyaansh dubious, straightened his neck.
"Why! she just went to Honeymoon" he stated casually, matched her gaze.
"Aap nahi samjhoge. choro aap" She grumped, averted her gaze away him.
"Kyu! Asisa kya hai jo baap nahi samajhta bass maakohi pata hota hai" His eyes held playfullness but his lips formed in a thin smile. That made instantly Neela whirled her head towards him.
"Aisa nahi hai, mainto bass" Neela abruptly mumbled, paused not completing the sentence.
"Yahi ki usey kuch pata nahi hai, she is a hyper child and all. Is this all you are in worried about!" He craned his face a bit watched her keenly. A slight smile appeared on his face looking at her meaningless melancholy face.
Neela didn't replied.she kept quite.
"Arey Neela chill. She is fine" he let out a soft chuckle and bend down his Knees. Now His arms supporting the armrest both side chair she was sitting.
"Achha mana she is not so composed or as over sensitive as our choto shona Avni. She judge things too lightly or sometimes just shrugged it off even such serious issues in life. But she isn't a pampered child. She knows how to handle her own battle, according to you women if you consider this sasural thing is a battlefield" he chuckled adding that last sentence. And Neela's agitated gaze fell on him in response but softened several seconds soon.
"I know they are good people. But still there are so many things a girl need to mould herself according to the circumstances when she leave her house to live with new people. It's quite predictable ki sabkuch alag hoga, harcheez nayi hogi. waha bahut kuch mannka hoga. Aur jyada, nahi hoga. Agar shuru se hi ekdusre ko by chance galat samajhle to woh galat faimiyan thik hotey barso lag jate hai. kabhi kabhi to thik hi nahi hote. Zindagi bhar ek dusreko kostehi reh jatey hai" she stated with a huge perturbed lump inside her chest.
"Ooh c'mon Neela now you are being paranoid, thinking too much. Our girl will be absolutely fine and the best part is she got married to a best guy" he gave a contented smile and embarked speaking. "I believe my daughter is in among good people. Her in laws; Basus are really very understanding, they all like her a lot. Didn't you see how they took care of Aravi! she told you that right on reception party." Reyaansh remembered the words Aravi has told what a lovely people they are. Without even Neela's queries.
"Yes, they did. I know" there is a glint of hope flashed in Neela's eyes. Her gaze dropped on their hands Reyaansh held.
"Then don't stress out overthinking. Everything will be perfect. I'm happy I have given my daughter to a person like Shivam. He is truly a decent guy" he assured blinking his eyes once and smiled gently.
"Yeah he is" Neelama tried to smile back, pulled her gaze upward at her husband.
"And Now we need to focus on Avni.
Aur uske liye bhi to kisiko dhunke lana hai, kuch bachey kuchey achhe larko mein se. Haina" he beamed, stood up on his feet and relaxed his back to the same spot against the balcony fence where he was few minutes ago.
"Nahi abhi nahi please." Her voice clearly requested. Now Neela also got off the chair she was slouched on. She earned a humourously confused gaze from him upon her.
"Avni kuch din aur hamarey sath rahein. Main uske bina nahi ji paungi, agar uski shaadi boro shona jaise kisi aur desh mein hua to" Neelama jutted her lips in a sad pout, held his hand tighter. And that made Reyaansh laughed out heartily.
"Achha, to uske liye koi aspass kaahi dundke layenge thik hai!" He beamed at her over his shoulder, affirmed sweetly. Like he is talking to a kid to convince something of her convinience.
"Haan thik hai" Neelama put her head over his arm. As he is much taller than her, she never get hold on his shoulder in result she always rested her face sideways on his arms that way.
"Achha, Gharjamai kaisa rahega!" He rubbed his jaw, exclaimed but inside he was grinning.
"Haan ye thik rahega" her eyes gleamed in hope, she gave blunt excited happy grin.
"Are you serious lanee!" He whirled his flickered gaze straight at her.
"Shut up don't call me that" she grouched.
"Lanee" he repeated in purpose irritated her a bit more.
"Aap se to mujhe baat hi nahi karni" Neela rebuked snapped her head off his arms and attempt to go away him but paused by his words.
"Nahi aisa math karo, mein akela padh jaunga. Ek betito chaligayi apne husband k saath honeymoon pe, aur ek beti ko fursat kaha apne patients se. aur upar se tum bhi baat nahi karogi to mera kya hoga" she hindered dramatically.
"Kyu tumhare woh nurses aur baki lady doctors kaha gaye sab!" She mocked, narrowed her eyes.
"Ab sab Dr. Ayan ko lekar busy hai. Is buddhe ko kaun puchta hai." He curved his lips mournfully and Neela suppress her chuckle.
"Kyu main hu na. Is handsome buddhe k liye mainhi kafi hu" she smiled in a assuring tone.
"Wahi to. Sachmein. Kabhi kabhi mein sochta hu tum na hoti to Mera kya hota. Ye cardio ka to heart fail hi ho jata" he faked trepidation.
"Bahawt hi ghatiya lines tha waise" she rolled her eyes and walked passed by him to the bed.
"Haan pata hai" Reyaansh replied in a grin stepping inside and closed the balcony door.
"Chalo ab sojao" Neela settled the pillow on his side.
"Haan abhi Sunday anemein der hai" he laid beside her, blew a sigh tiredly, closed his eyes. And Neela hid her smile, closed her eyes facing him.
Few seconds later she put her hand on his chest, scooted closer and in response a languide smile grew and immediately disappeared leaving the glint on his face, he put his hand gently over her as if they are conveying eachother everything will be going to be happened hopefully to their gratification.
