Hinata and Shigure walked through the market, looking for what to take home. Shigure wanted to fill the cart with sugary sweets and fats, but Hinata wanted something healthy like fruits, vegetables, and whatnot. After a brief argument, the two adults agreed to fill the cart with a bit of everything. 

" How did you and your cousin survive living together before Tohru and I showed up?" Hinata asked while putting the groceries on the counter so the cashier could scan them. 

Shigure looked at Hinata with a thoughtful gaze and rubbed his chin. 

" With Take-Out food." Shigure merely responded. 

Hinata stared at Shigure with a deadpan expression. She shook her head and muttered about men being lazy. 

" How much for the groceries?" Hinata asked while looking at the cashier. 

" One hundred and ten dollars." The cashier responded. 

Hinata's chocolate brown eyes widened. She looked at the counter filled with their groceries with mixed emotions. She opened and closed her mouth, feeling speechless. 

Hinata looked at the cashier and was going to tell them to take their stuff. But to her surprise, Shigure handed them a black card. 

" I'll pay." Shigure smiled. 

Hinata's chocolate brown eyes blinked, looking at Shigure in disbelief. 

" How? That's alot of money." Hinata asked. 

" I'm rich, remember." Shigure winked. 

" Ah!" Hinata nodded. " Once I get my first paycheck, I'll buy the next grocery." She warmly smiled. 

Shigure's gaze softened, and he nodded. 

A barking sound grabs Shigure and Hinata's attention. They turned and saw a German Shepherd staring at the cloudless sky in concern. The dog continued to bark, causing Shigure to look at Hinata in worry. 

" We should get going. I think it's going to rain." Shigure speaks, causing Hinata to pale. 

" The tent!" Hinata shouts, and she begins to run toward the sports car. 

' So she and her niece have been living in a tent this whole time.' Shigure internally speaks when he sees Hinata run. 

Shigure thanked the cashier, who put all their groceries in the cart. He pushed the cart out of the market and followed Hinata to the sports car. 

Hinata stood next to the red sports car, looking anxious. She watched Shigure unlock the vehicle, causing her to open the passenger door, and she got inside. 

Shigure seemed okay with putting their groceries away in the sports car himself. He understood the reason behind Hinata being anxious and wanting to go home. 

Shigure gets inside the sports car, and the two adults put on their seatbelts. He turns on the vehicle and begins to drive. 

Throughout the drive, Shigure would frequently check on Hinata. He noticed she would keep staring out the window, watching the cars drive or the birds fly. 

An hour later, Shigure and Hinata arrived at the Sohma Forest. Hinata gets out of the sports car and begins to panic when she feels raindrops fall on her. 

" I need to get our things!" Hinata shouts, and she begins to run in the direction of the tent. 

Shigure gets out of the sports car and watches Hinata run. 

" Hinata! Wait!" Shigure shouts, looking concerned. 

Deep in the forest, several wolves howl, causing Shigure to get worried since they warned him of a mudslide. 

" Hinata!" Shigure frantically shouts. He cursed himself for wearing wooden sandals and a kimono. He takes his wooden sandals off and begins to run in the direction where he last saw Hinata. 

Hinata reached the area where the tent was and looked relieved. She opens the tent and gets inside. She grabs the portrait of Kyoko and shoves it into her duffle bag. She then takes her and Tohru's belongings and walks out of the tent. 

A crashing sound grabs Hinata's attention, and she turns to see a mudslide approaching her. Her chocolate-brown eyes widen, and she begins to panic. 

Shigure reached Hinata, and his grey eyes widened when he saw the mudslide about to swallow her whole. 

" Hinata!" Shigure screams, and he runs toward Hinata, causing her to look at him. 

Shigure's grey eyes intently stared at Hinata's chocolate brown eyes. 

' I don't care if she discovers my secret! I rather save her life than watch her die!' Shigure internally speaks. 

Hinata dropped her belongings since they were getting too heavy. She watched Shigure jump, pulling her into his embrace as the mudslide swallowed them. 

A taxi drops Yuki and Tohru off at the Sohma Forest since the two teens want to get home early. They looked forward and saw Shigure's sports car, but to their surprise, the doors were open, and groceries were inside. But there was no sign of Shigure and Hinata. 

" Where's Shigure?" Yuki asked, looking concerned. 

Tohru looked in the direction of the tent and started to get worried, wondering if Shigure and Hinata had gone to fetch her and her Aunt's belongings. 

" Shigure must have gone with my Aunt Hinata to check out the tent!" Tohru begins to run in the direction of the tent. 

Yuki opened his mouth to say something, but he stopped when he heard various squeaking sounds informing him that a mudslide had occurred in the Sohma Forest. 

" Honda-san! Wait up!" Yuki shouts, looking concerned. He runs in the direction where Tohru went. 

Tohru reached the area where the tent was and looked horrified. A massive mudslide consumed the whole area. 

" Aunt Hinata!" Tohru shouts, looking at her surroundings, but there is no response. " Aunt Hinata!" She cries and begins to get worried. 

Yuki stood behind Tohru, and his dark grey eyes blinked when he heard growling. He looked at his surroundings and saw a pack of wolves approaching the mudslide. 

" Honda-san. Step away from the mudslide." Yuki speaks, causing Tohru to turn and see the wolves approaching the mudslide. 

Tohru's chocolate brown eyes widened. She stepped back, causing her and Yuki to stand and observe the wolves. 

Tohru and Yuki silently watched the wolves dig a massive hole, and to their horror and surprise, they spotted an unconscious Hinata and Shigure. 

Yuki looked at Shigure and Hinata with mixed emotions. He noticed his cousin's arms wrapped around Hinata in a hugging position. He looked perplexed because Shigure was in his human form instead of his cursed form. 

' How?' Yuki internally asked. 

A wolf approached Shigure, and the animal licked all over his face, waking him up. 

" Ugh. My head." Shigure murmured. He opened his grey eyes and blinked since his vision got blurry. He looked forward and saw a figure lying against him. 

" Hinata!" Shigure shouts, unaware that Yuki and Tohru are nearby. He sat and held Hinata against him, briefly forgetting that he wasn't in his cursed form. 

" Shigure. What happened?" Yuki asked, looking curious. 

Shigure's grey eyes blinked. He turns his gaze to see Yuki looking at him with curiosity while Tohru looks at Hinata with concern. 

" Ughhh." Hinata's groans grabbed Shigure's attention. 

Shigure looked down at Hinata, and his grey eyes widened when the realization hit him. 

' How am I still human? I should be a Dog right now.' Shigure internally asked, but he pushed those thoughts aside since his top priority was taking Hinata and Tohru to the house.
