*Next day-05/08*

Today is sunday so I got no school and I got a call from Chie wanting to hang out so I agreed and went to meet up.

*Samegawa River*

"Alllright! Today's the day!" Chie said 'Chie's enthusiastic today as well' I thought "Huh?" Nanako said as she walked pass by and walked to us "Oh, Nanako-chan!" Chie said smiling "What are you doing?" Nanako asks "Hm? Training, of course!" Chie said "Training...." Nanako said "Who are you fighting with, Chie?" Nanako asks "Hmm....myself....I guess....?" Chie said "....Heheh, just kidding!" She said "wow, cool!" Nanako said smiling "Y-You think....? Hahaha...." Chie said "....oh, a grasshopper!" Nanako said looking to the side "Huh?! N-No way! Wh-Where?!" Chie asks nervous "it just landed on your back" Nanako said "Ahhhhh!" Chie screamed "Get it off! Get it off me!" She said and Nanako took the grasshopper off "...you don't like grasshoppers?" Nanako asks curious "I'm no good with anything woth thin, jointed legs! Or anything creepy or squirmy!" Chie said "Ack, now I cant get 'em out of my mind! I can't stand those things!" Chie said "But they're cute..." Nanako said "....You're like Yukiko" Chie said and looked at me "Oh, see, 'cause Yukiko's fine around bugs" she said "But me, I totally lose it....Kinda funny, huh?" She asks "it's cute" I said "Uh, hey....Wh-What're you saying?!" Chie asks panicking "A lot of kids in my class don't like bugs" Nanako said "it's not just you don't worry!" Nshe said smiling "Nanako-chan....Ooh, you don't know how happy that makes me. Thanks!" Chie said "C'mon, you wanna train too?" Chie asks pumped "Okay!" Nanako said smiling "Let's start with form. I'll teach you a kata..." Chie said and they rained till I sent Nanako home before it got dark "I'm gonna get over my fear of bugs. I don't wanna look like a sissy next to Nanako-chan!" Chie said "All I have to do is think of them as Shadows! Then I'll be able to grab a whole fistful!" She said "......I-I just gave myself goosebumps..." she said "G-Getting used to bugs might take a while, but I wont lose to shadows!" She said.

After finishing my training, I walked partway home with Chie.

When I got back home I noticed Nanako with origami flowers and she seemed lost in thought "What's the matter?" I asked "Um, well..." Nanako said fidgeting "I made flowers at school yesterday" Nanako said "They said today is 'Mother's day' " she said "My teacher told us that's a day when you give your mom flowers" she said "I don't have a mom....so I don't know what to do with these flowers" she said looking down 'Oh dear...' I thought "You can still give them to her" I said "huh...?" Nanako asks "Oh, you mean the family altar?!" She asks "Dad always puts food there. He said it gets to mom in heaven" she said "Do you think my flowers will get to her too?" She asks "I'm positive" I said smiling "I did a really good job on mine!" Nanako said smiling "My teacher sais they were pretty too!" She said "I wonder if my mom will be happy to get them" she said, she seems happy. "You should makd a flower too, big bro!" Nanako said smiling and I was taken aback by that "Then we can celebrate Mother's day together!" Nanako said 'This sweet girl' I thought smiling and I had her show me how to make an origami flower "We did it!" Nanako said smiling and I nodded and then we pplaced the flowers on the family altar and then I put Nanako to bed and then decided to spend some time with Dojima.

"So.......what have you been doing after school?" Dojima asks "Working" I said "Oh, really...? You're pretty responsible for your age" Dojima said smiling impressed ".....whoops. This is turning into an interrogation, isn't it?" He asks feeling bad "But it's not as if we have much in common....except for the murders" he said "Tell me about yourself" I said "About me? You're interested in the strangest things..." Dojima said "it's just what it seems. I'm a simple country detective living with my daughter" he said "There's nothing about yhat to interest a high school kid..." he said "But you know it really is good to have you around the house" he said "I didn't think Nanako would be so happy....Hell, I'm already tired of hearing 'big bro' this and 'big bro' that" he said smiling "You're more like a very young brother to me than a son" he admited "heh that's stretching it" I said "What?! You're saying you can see the years on my face?" Dojima asks chuckling "What a punk! Treating a regulat guy like an old man...!" He said laughing cheerfully "I think it's been a while since I've laughed this much" he said.

"Alright I have to finish processing some data from work" Dojima said "Don't hit the sack too late, you hear?" He said and I nodded and I said goodbye as I went to my room and saved before going to sleep.
