"Are you happy now? I tried pulling you back, but you were just standing there like a statue lost in your own thoughts. See, you got totally wet. I just hope your health doesn't spoil because of this", said Swara being genuinely concerned.

There were thunderstorms and Sanskar thought Swara would be scared but no she was just standing beside him casually.

"Are you not scared Swara? The thunders are so loud", asked Sanskar being concerned.

"How could I stay alone all these years if I fear for little things like this? (turning towards him) Why Sanskar? Are you scared?", asked Swara laughing.

"No, of course not. Just asking", he turned his face in embarrassment.

"I like you rain but you have spoiled my date. I have planned a surprise for Swara today to propose her but now it is already ten and I must drop her home. Very bad", Sanskar cursed the rain under his breath.

"By the way Swara, do you have a boyfriend?", asked Sanskar.

Swara burst out into laughter surprising him "Sanskar, when I don't have any friend, how come I will have a boyfriend".

"You never know, okay tell me this, what if someone comes and tells you that he likes you?"

"Sanskar, you do have a lot of fan following, so many would have told you that already. So, what's a big deal in it".

Sanskar to himself "Oh my god Swara, why don't you understand?"

"Swara, I am serious. What if someone proposed you or asked your hand for marriage? What will be...your...reaction?", asked Sanskar being impatient.

Taking her time Swara replied "I don't know Sanskar, I haven't thought about it. Maybe I would say I will think and tell after some time. After all I must also get married some or the other time. (saying this she laughed) what happened to you suddenly? why are you asking such stupid questions?", enquired Swara.

"Swara, one last question? What if that someone is (almost as a whisper) me".

Swara again laughed "why will you propose me Sanskar?"

"Swara please, answer me"

Learning by the intensity from his voice, she became serious "Sanskar, I am not sure about what would I do but I would surely ask about Kavitha. I have heard about your relationship with her. You both were engaged, but then you broke the marriage".

"Swara...that was...", Sanskar tried to explain but she showed her hand and continued.

"Sanskar listen, I too understand that there might be many reasons for that but a girl like me who have been betrayed by everyone, will surely take a lot of time to accept you as a...as a... well to treat you as more than a friend. And you might be willing to tell me the reason for your breakup, but I would find it difficult to trust you. Hope you get that".

"Swara, you got to know about my relationships, but you didn't find my birthday in the internet. Very bad. Don't talk to me" (He turned his face faking anger trying to divert the topic)

Swara gave "what" look and then smiled at his childishness. Just then the driver got the car. They dropped the driver near the old car and refilled it with the petrol which the driver got and they both rode off. During their journey, they were very silent. When they reached Swara's house, Swara asked while getting off

"Sanskar, you just asked that question casually right? I mean did you really meant that?"

"Even if I meant that, you won't be accepting my proposal, right Swara?"

"I am...I am sorry Sanskar".

"Hey, relax, I was just joking. We are just friends or may be just co-stars okay. Don't take too much tension. Now, go and take rest, you might be tired. Good night",

"Good night", replied Swara with a smile.

Sanskar left to his home. Seeing Sanskar, Laksh and Ragini came rushing towards him.

"Hey bro what happened. Did you tell Swara that you love her?", asked Laksh not able to control his excitement.

"I couldn't say", replied Sanskar walking to his room trying to avoid them.

"Why?", asked Ragini.

Sanskar told them everything except about their final conversation.

"You two were alone under the tree and the weather was also good, you could have told her then", said Laksh letting out a sigh.

"Leave it, she won't agree", said Sanskar getting irritated.

"Why she won't agree? If you want, we will speak with her", said Aishwarys worried about her brother in law.

"Please leave it", said Sanskar trying to contain himself.

"No, we won't", came the reply.

"Guys she asked me about my past relationship (he calmed down a bit) about Kavitha", shouted Sanskar.

"But Sanskar, it was not your fault", said Laksh trying to pacify his brother.

"Please leave me alone for some time", saying which he went to his room.

Sanskar to himself "Don't worry Sanskar, everything will be alright as time pass by. Now the only thing I must do is be with Swara, see that she gets all the happiness and care that she deserves. Sanskar you shouldn't mind if she loves you or not. You like her so, make sure that she is happy"

Smiling to himself, he dozed off to sleep.
