It's Over! (Monsta X)
The place was a mess, red solo cups scattered everywhere, plates that once held food. Even the wrappers and numerous glass bottles lay forgotten on the ground and upon the furniture. He had been out for the past couple of hours hanging out with his hyung, Minhyuk, only to return back to the apartment to find it in complete shambles and people everywhere.
The door to the apartment opened as Changkyun stepped inside. His very movements halted as he stared at the chaos surrounding the apartment. Loud music blasted from the stereo as people danced, swaying and grinding against one another to the sound. Others lounged on the couch or in a chair, laughing loudly and screaming to be heard over the music. Food, drinks and other party necessities were discarded around the apartment. People collected in the small kitchen, barely leaving room to move around.
Changkyun's eyes were wide as he spotted his roommate on the far side of the apartment getting his flirt on with some pretty little thing in a black mini skirt. The sight alone made his blood boil, anger and frustration rising within him as he crossed the room towards the stereo. He pressed the off button, silencing the deafening noise and the party occupants as well. All eyes seemed to turn onto him, but that was exactly what he wanted.
"Out! Now! Party is over!"
Changkyun was not one to yell or raise his voice often, but this was definitely one of the rare occasions his quietness was overrun by a burst of fury. Jooheon made his way over to the stereo, a nervous laugh escaping his lips. Changkyun could smell the alcohol on his breath, and though he wasn't against drinking a beer or two, this was too much.
"What are you doing?"
"What am I. . .what am I doing!? I'm ending this party so we don't get kicked out!"
Yelling was his first instinctual thing to do. Changkyun was not going to lose the apartment because his rowdy roommate wanted to throw a party. Thankfully, the guests figured it was time to go when their host began arguing with the other person living in the apartment.
"We aren't going to get kicked out for having a little fun. Lighten up and have a drink."
Jooheon, look around. Does this look like a 'little' fun? The place is a disaster, you've created the most noise ever, and I don't even want to see the bedrooms."
"Geeze, you sound like. . ."
"Like your parents? Good, someone has to around here."
Changkyun interrupted, moving around Jooheon and making his way into the kitchen, stopping only to turn back and face Jooheon once more.
"You're really pushing me to make a decision I don't to make, Jooheon."
"Oh yeah, and what is that?"
"Find another roommate! One who won't trash the place and risk us ending up homeless!"
The laugh of pure disbelief that escaped Jooheon was no surprise to Changkyun. He figured he wouldn't believe his threat, especially in the state he was in at that moment.
"You wouldn't do it."
"Watch me. . ."
~END FLASHBACK~
Jooheon had left shortly after that, storming out of the apartment and leaving Changkyun to deal with the mess in the apartment.
Having grabbed one large trash bag, frustratingly yanking it out to the point of nearly ripping it, Changkyun began the long process of cleaning. He started in the kitchen, throwing away the multitude of red solo cups, half eaten food and any plates that had gotten shattered throughout the night. From there, he moved through the sea of trash, food, cups and party streamers that littered the apartment floor. Every inch of the living room seemed to be covered in something, some of it very questionable and he did not want to even think about what it is. Regardless, he picked everything up and stuffed it into the bag so the place didn't look so trashed.
By the time Changkyun had the kitchen and living room cleaned, a good two hours had passed by. The night slowly slipping well into the early morning of the next day, barely after midnight now.
Running a hand through his hair, Changkyun scanned the work he had done before collapsing on the couch, slouching a bit as he tried to relax. A break was what he needed, but the bedrooms and bathroom still needed cleaning. He didn't even know what state they were in and was a tad scared to actually find out.
Changkyun let his thoughts roam to this and that, resting his head against the back of the couch. His body relaxed as exhaustion from the past few hours caught up with him. His eyes began getting heavy while he shifted his position to get more comfortable. Slowly, darkness began to cloud his vision, his eyes drifting shut very slowly.

The door to the apartment opened about two hours later. Jooheon stepped inside, his eyes shifting around the now clean living room and kitchen. He spotted the large trash bag, filled and still needing to be taken out. His eyes drifted once more to the living room, landing on Changkyun, who was fast asleep sitting on the couch. A rush of guilt washed over Jooheon, his eyes falling to the floor in shame. He had pushed his friend and roommate to this point, and it should have never happened.
Quietly, he made his way into the hallway and grabbed a blanket from the linen closet. His earlier walk having given him time to think, cool down enough to come back without fighting. Now, here he was, feeling guilty as ever and covering Changkyun up because he had passed out on the couch. He stood silently, staring down at the younger man's sleeping form. He felt bad for pushing Changkyun so far to the point of exhaustion.
Slowly turning away, Jooheon grabbed the garbage and left the apartment and took it down to the dumpster. He returned minutes later, closing and locking the door behind him. He turned, stopping when his eyes made contact with two very sleepy ones that stared back at him.
"Hey. . ."
"Hey. . ."
Changkyun's sleepy reply echoed that of Jooheon's.
"You still mad at me?"
Changkyun shook his head side to side, almost as if his head would wobble right off his shoulders.
"We good?"
Jooheon received a simple nod from his younger roommate, relief washing over him. At least he wasn't ending up homeless nor losing a friend. A small smile formed on his lips, making those precious dimples appear.
"Go back to sleep, I've got the rest of the cleaning."
Changkyun didn't argue, he was too exhausted to do so and there was no reason for arguing at this point. He laid down, using the arm of the couch as a pillow, quickly drifting off to sleep. At the same time, Jooheon disappeared back down the hallway to begin cleaning and setting things right. His partying days were over. . .at least in the apartment they were.
