Chapter 35: Gathered Kage
((IF I SAID LAND OF SNOW I WAS WRONG!
ITS THE LAND OF IRON!!!)))
Naruto's eyes were excitedly glancing about. The air had gotten much cooler then then had thought it would. His cloak was on, the thickness of it keeping him warm, he wished he could say the same about his toes though, but he wasn't complaining.
Naruto, even when he was with the Akatsuki, never traveled to the land of snow. He had never seen snow before in his life, so this was going to be something to remember.
"Haha, calm down Naruto. Your the Hokage's guard. You need to be guarding me with full attention to your surroundings." Tsunsde giggled lightly, looking forwards with a soft smile.
"I think he is going to ignore that if he hasn't already, Lady Tsunade." Kakashi shrugged, pulling out his book to read.
"Now it's coming from you?" Tsunsde crossed her arms, still smiling.
"I can see everything." Kakashi spoke sarcastically.
"Mhm." She shook her head and walked in front of them with leadership. "The moment we hit snow terrain, you and Naruto are to remain vigilant for enemy ninja, and Samurai. If you see Samurai guarding territory, we know we are safely in the hands of the land of Iron. And we also know, the summit isn't far off."
"Of course my lady." Kakashi giggled out as he read the contents he has already read over and over.
The group soon, started to see fluffy snow in the distance, and now covered grounds. Naruto smiled widely and looked at the pretty white color, the sparkling of the snow, and the excitement grew more, but he also saw two Samurai guarding it on the other side of a long bridge. Naruto then nudged Kakashi.
"Hey, we're here. Put the book away." Naruto then put a serious face on snd looked forwards.
Kakashi nodded and put the book away, looking forwards, his eye sharing the same seriousness. Tsunsde, was first to get in the bridge, then the two directly behind her. They walked across and then stopped at the two guards.
"This male behind you is not allowed to pass. Due to conspiracy with the Akatsuki." The Samurai hissed, holding the hilts to their swords.
"Naruto quit them and came back. I have given him the task of escorting me. He is trustworthy enough. Now stand down Samurai. As you know. The Akatsuki are after Jinchuriki. He is one of them. He is also the one who saved out village. He needs no restraints like this." Tsunsde spoke loudly and with high authority.
The Samurai looked to one another, before letting them proceed. Naruto sighed and walked forwards with Kakashi and Tsunsde, looking at little aggravated now, but still held himself in one peice, resisting Kurama's urge to shred those two. From there, it was a nice walk, listening to the relaxing sound of snow crunching under their sandals, the steady wind blowing snow past them.
In the distance, there was the summit nesting area. Naruto looked at it and felt giddy and nervous. Kakashi and Tsunsde sharing this emotion strongly. Who wouldn't be nervous to meet the other rulers of the hidden villages. Kakashi seemed a little more bothered when it came to his student, Naruto. He didn't want him getting hurt by anyone. He was most nervous about the Rikage, sense the cloud seems devistating by losing Killer Bee.
Soon the group was inside. Naruto shivered lightly, and rubbed his arms, his eyes showing nervousness. He then walked in front of Tsunsde and, catching onto this, Kakashi moved to the back, both guarding her well. Tsunsde silently thanked them with a nod, looking around the area, high security it seems. Good. She adjusted her Hokage hat, sighing loudly as they walked down brightly lit halls. Naruto kept peering down corners before allowing the other two to continue halls. Soon, they reached the meeting room, where inside, were the Rikage, and the Mizukage along with Mifune, the leader of the forces in the Land Of Iron.
Naruto walked in, with Tsunade behind him, followed by Kakashi. Naruto felt a heavy glare as everyone stared. The most intimidating one was from the Rikage. Naruto could smell the anger and grief coming off of him.
"Oh~! Such cute men." The Mizukage swooned in her seat.
Tsunsde sat down at her assigned seats and placed her hat down, folding her arms, looking forwards with a serious look.
"Don't. Sass him." Tsunade's angered eyes were aimed at the Rikage.
"Tsunsde. The first Hokage's granddaughter." The TsuchiKage walked in, floating to his seat, his accomplices sitting in the sitting zone behind the large banners with village symbols on them. "Huh, how ya holding up?" He smiled.
Tsunade relaxed lightly and began to talk to him.
Naruto was tense, feeling the Rikage's glares heavily. Kurama even stirred angrily. Naruto growled and his eyes turned to rage as they shot back to the Rikage, directly at him. Kakashi then placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"Naruto. Please calm yourself. If he hurts you. We have full authority to hurt him back." Kakashi stated.
Naruto relaxed and exhaled deeply. But his mood lightened when he looked up to see Gaara's smiling face. Naruto smiled and stood, and hugged him tightly.
"Hey!" Naruto spoke rather loudly, gaining everyone's attention. "Been a little bit! How ya holding up?" Naruto pulled away and giggled.
"Haha. I've been fine." Gaara's chuckled and patted his shoulders. "Busy with the Akatsuki business though. Thanks for your information on everything. My forces and Tsunade's took care of all known hide outs." Gaara stated.
Temari and Kankuro sat down, looking at them with a smile. Everyone seemed to question that. Gaara noticed and he walked to his seat, putting his hat down.
"Sorry, me and him go way back. Haha." Gaara chuckled lightly.
"Wow! You have got to be the youngest lad I've ever seen in the position of Kage." The TsuchiKage gasped.
"I'm 17." Gaara chuckled.
"My~!" The Mizukage giggled. "So many young ones here today. Listen. Aren't you too young to be the KazeKage? This job is stressful." She frowned some in curiosity.
"The lack of Experience is most concerning." The Rikage spoke in annoyance. "Far too young."
"Gaara has worked his way to his position! He deserves it. He went from the most hated to the most loved." Kankuro spoke in slight anger.
"I think he is worthy of his title. He was a former Jinchuriki." Tsunade stated. "Now he is Kazekage." She smiled at him.
"Quite the accomplishment." The oldest man chuckled before wincing, complaining about his back.
"Alright." Mifune spoke up, clearing his throat. "Thank you for gathering today. We are here to discuss recent matters with the Akatsuki. Luckily. Here with us is a former member, and highly skilled Chunin. Naruto Uzumaki. He has given all of us every ounce of information regarding whereabouts and members." Mifune explained.
Everyone received a folder and opened it, reading it's contents. Everyone fell silent, asking one another questions from time to time.
"Psst. Naruto." Tsunsde whispered.
Naruto walked forwards, leaning over her, looking where her finger was stuck on. Naruto quickly explained what Zetzu was. She then nodded along, and spoke the information out loud.
This is where the Rikage snapped, slamming his hand on the table, making Naruto jolt straight up, looking at the standing, much taller and buffer man.
"So. You know all of this information on the Akatsuki. Then tell me. Where the hell is my brother!?" He growled.
Naruto looked at the man, feeling panic arise. He then swallowed the lump in his throat.
"I heard about these plans. Sasuke Uchiha recently joined before I took my leave from the group upon realising it wasn't healthy for me. Sasuke was assigned to bringing him in Alive. Gaara's extraction took three days before he died and got brought back by Lady Cheo. Bee was kidnapped recently. Then it would probably take him three days to get his extracted. Maybe more due to the lower amount of people." Naruto explained. "I'm sorry, I left before he actually got Lord Bee. I apologise." Naruto looked down.
"Where!? Is he!? Every hide out has been snuffed out! Are you holding back, boy?" The Rikage angrily snapped.
Naruto felt aggravated and threatened, and Kurama kept stirring, giggling and growling, making Naruto shake. Tsunade growled, slapping her hand on her desk.
"He told us everything!" Tsunade snapped angrily. "He wouldn't lie!"
"How the hell can you prove that?" The man punched his fist through the desk.
"Calm down!" Mifune growled.
"Because I know him!" Tsunade snapped back.
The others shook their heads, or akwardly listened in, watching, already in attack mode, ready to pounce on the enemy.
"So, you really believe he is alive?" The Rikage calmed down, but only slightly.
"Yes." Gaara nodded.
"Poor boy." Mizukage motioned Naruto too her. "Come."
Naruto walked to her, and then was yanked onto her chest, being hugged by him.
"I'd kiss you. But it would melt you away." She smiled softly. "Now tell me what this is." The then pointed to a paragraph.
Naruto read it, and it was on "Tobi." Naruto had to reread it before he explained.
"Thank you darling." She smiled. "Have a seat." She then pointed to Kakashi.
Naruto moved to Kakashi, and sat beside him. Mifune then got into back up plans and alliances. This was a huge argument with everyone. Them talking about an allied force seemed alien and another language entirely. Naruto seemed a little out of it. His heart raced as he somewhat knew a plan Obito had. About war. About crashing a huge event.
It was only a matter of time.
And sure enough.
Forming in the center of the room...
Was Zetzu.
