12 Minutes Later 

For the past 12 minutes, Ellen has been trying to convince me not to kill myself or him since I'm too young, to end up in jail and he's not worth it.

"Hey there, sis!" A voice comes from behind us 

"Hello, Veronica", Ellen replies.

"Let's go, you...I mean we have a lot to do", she says, holding Elle's hand and pulling her towards her. Ellen immediately lets go of her handing showing how annoyed she is by her attitude. 

"I am so proud of you sister, you finally found a friend! Although it's miss 'not so popular', you still found one!", she sarcastically says to Ellen as if I wasn't there.

I send her a glare, keeping myself from starting an unnecessary fight with her. She definitely is not worth it!

"Bye Elle", I wave her goodbye as she leaves. 
She waves back.

I settle my head on the table, not wanting to see anyone staring at me, and being super tired too...

"Hey there partner, are you okay?".

 I knew who it was, before raising my face.

"Hi, yeah thanks for asking.", I say, giving him a fake smile.

"Anytime, Nova!", He winks at me

Thank you luck, I am now sure of your abilities.

"It's Norah!", I respond, with the fake smile still on my face.

"Yeah, whatever. It doesn't matter", he replies, "Look, sweet girl, they'll distribute papers. You fill them up and I'll be back when you're finished to check them up", he adds with confidence 

"Yeah sure, have fun, but where exactly are you going?" I ask him

"Why do you ask? It's none of your business! Just do what I said", he demands

"Yeah you're right, it's none of my business, but surely, it must be the principal's, wouldn't you agree?", I reply, trying my best to stay as calm as possible.

"What? No, You don't have to tell him!", he says, panicking

"Oh okay, then you will?!" I follow up

"No one will!", he says in a mean tough voice, faking a smile

"In case you forgot, we have to submit 'our' work, and if you're not there, you have to justify your absence with a convincing reason, which I may or may not confirm!", I threateningly say, giving him a challenging look. He sits down, beaten on a chair and I don't even bother looking at him.

"Why are you like this?", he asks like a punished child. 

"What do you mean?" 

"Nothing, just forget it!", he says before the teacher handles us our paperwork.

3 hours later

FINALLY, IT'S lunchtime!
After 3 hours of paperwork, we have the right to rest a little. Jaden went to sit at another table. It has been tiringly boring.

I get up and head towards the teacher to submit all the paperwork.

"Thank you, dear, you can go to eat now!"

"Em.. sorry, but where can I find Ellen Clark?", I ask the teacher. 

"Ellen? Is she your partner?" 

"Um no, she's my friend!"

"Well I don't know where she is, but you should be eating with whoever you're partnered with since today is about meeting them and developing a team spirit!"

"What? But it's lunchtime...", I try to argue

"I'm sorry, but it's part of today's rules! Please go find your partner and spend lunchtime together!"

Yeah, I know what you're thinking of. My luck, am I right?

I go back to my table, resting my head on it. Why the heck do I have to spend 30 minutes of my life with this show-off, with this accumulation of...

"Hey", the accumulation says, bringing me back to reality.

I do not reply since my mood is super bad right now. He puts his hand on my forehead and raises my face up
"I said hey!" 

"Good for you!", I say rolling my eyes before my head goes back to the table.
God, please take me out of here, PLEASE!

 Suddenly, I feel a hand pulling me up from my wrist.

"Is it you, god?", I ask, looking up to see an angel flying...

"Yeah, it's me. We'll take lunch outside this hell hole!", he brings me back to reality by saying this.

I have to spend time with him... Why me?

Jade pulls me up again and I decide not to go against his actions since I am too tired to argue.

He brings me to the parking lot.

"Hey, are you okay?", he asks

"Yeah, fine, thanks for asking!", I answer with a distant, tired tone 

I realize how tired I am, having barely eaten and slept for the past two days due to a lack of appetite and my dad's presence.
I still don't feel hungry, but I am tired!

We enter his car. The one he was going to kidnap me with, yes. Upon realizing this, I give him a stare.

"I mean, you didn't argue and you don't seem good. Not that I care, but I wanna make sure you don't die. Not until I win this scholarship anyway"

I seriously have no energy to even reply so I just give him a fake smile and roll my eyes.

"So where do you want to go?", he asks, urging me to talk when all I want is to close my eyes and take a nap.

"Doesn't matter...", I reply 

"Look, if you're doing this because of what happened yesterday, I did not mean scare you okay?", he says with determination, "so stop acting as if you're dying in front of me! It won't catch my attention if this is your goal!", he adds.

"Look, I have no energy to waste talking to you, I can barely make it to wherever there's food, I haven't had anything since yesterday, so stop talking and just go!"

My stomach is hurting a lot and any restaurant is 5-10 minutes away from school so I'm thinking of taking a nap. Well...not thinking, I surely will since I cannot open my eyes anymore!

✧Jaden's POV✧

We're there and it's been 4 minutes. I have no idea what to do with this...thing sleeping on my passenger's seat looking so... I don't know-how!

Should I wake her up?
Of course, you should, dumb***, but how?

Should I kick her?
No, it wouldn't be appropriate. Besides, I can't reach her!

Should I pat her on the shoulder?
Yes, perfect!

I slowly approach my hand to her shoulder. Why am I acting as if it's my first time meeting a girl?
Man up dude!

I am tapping her and she's not waking up!
What am I supposed to do now? How about I tap on her nose. Surely, that will wake up!

I tap once and she doesn't move, that's it I am using the horn!!
PERFECT!

✧Norah's POV✧

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?", I wake up, super frightened. But I realized the car was off which lessened my fury...

"I tried to wake you up softly but you didn't, which makes it not my fault!", He says in an innocent tone. "We've arrived".

I look in front of me and see Macdonald's logo on the drive-through.

"What do you want to eat?", He asks

Not having properly eaten in like...forever, I eat like the starving animal that I am while Jade looks at me! To my surprise, he decides to pay the bill although I ate 2 meals and he didn't even ask to share! Okay, I do feel thankful, but I can't really mention it...

Back to class, it's the last hour. We have spent the whole afternoon arguing about what our subject will be for the project that should be presented in front of the class. We should choose wisely.

The bell should ring at any moment now...

"Okay students, before you leave I want to inform you, tomorrow is the final delay to submit the subject you wish to present before your classmates, and it should be in a form so think carefully! If you haven't chosen one yet, you should absolutely establish it when you go home. We have given you a lot of freedom, use it wisely!"

*The bell rings*
"So, where should we go?", Jaden asks me

"I'll call my mom!", I reply

"Hey mom, I've got something to work on, do you mind I bring someone home?"

"Honey, your dad is here. If you and your friend have no problem coming in from your window then I'm okay with it!-

UGH, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT MY SPERM DONOR...
