Chapter one; 'Pills'
You met me in a common tea shop. You showed me what trust is. "Can I sit here with you?" You asked me, she had sat down before I could even complain.
"Sure..." I muttered, drinking my tea and flipping the book's page.
There was a consistent schedule on his arrivals; it was always full and would always ask me for the other side of the booth and sat down before receiving an answer.
"Hey, my name is Shawn." You said after a few frequent meetings, taking his hand out.
I set my book down, flipping the edge of the page as a bookmark before closing it. "Mars," I said cautiously shaking his hand
"Mars is a nice name!" You exclaimed, I chuckled taking back my hand to take a sip of my tea.
"Shawn is common but nice," I said bluntly, smirking slightly.
"Yeah, I would like to be named; Victor or Xander...something like that." You said
"Xander is a nice name," I said
"Do you like exploring?" He asked, you "Because I want to do something but doing it alone wouldn't be as fun."
"Depends why our definition of exploring is."
"Like; getting off random stops in the metro."
"Sounds fun; you get to see random stuff you don't see everything. I'm in"
"Sweet; meet me here Friday, Mars."
"Okay, Shawn."

I had my own routine like he had his, to be honest, I had almost forgotten about today. Almost.
I walked out the door and went down the steps. I inhaled harshly before walking to the clinic.
It was a beautiful day outside, birds were singing, flowers were blooming on days like this I would normally be on the damp grass probably asleep; until I get hit with a frisbee and get the same hoard of pardons by the same guy with the same dog.
A routine. Always in the same part, time and place; I'm surprised it hasn't swelled up.
"Hey, Andrews," I said to the receptionist guy.
"She's waiting for you on floor five. Today is awfully crowded; I recommend the stairs for today."
Like always, maybe I should stop picking Friday, but that'll ruin the schedule.
I went to the emergency stairs and pushed open the door and started going up the stairs
Routine, I opened the fifth door. Empty it was, I opened the first door I saw "Mars, Jasmine is inside."
I nodded and walked opened the door to be greeted by the doctor "How were the pills?"
"Moderate"
"They didn't work?"
"They did, but after three weeks they weren't as effective"
"Pills don't work after three weeks on patient...Oh, sorry, taking notes"
"It's fine. I also think my mask is cracking"
"What do you mean? It looks fine to me" Jasmine said, again murmuring when taking notes "Signs of insanity..."
"Well, Jasmine can I get another refill on those pills?"
"Didn't they not work for you?"
"Maybe the result happens in months, I still have hopes for the pills."
