Dissociative identity disorder (DID): (was previously known as multiple personality disorder) a disorder characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states. Personalities are referred to as alters.

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way making fun of a disorder. It is more common in our world than you think and should be taken seriously. I'm not an expert and this book WILL have a bit of a misconception because it's fictional. I'll try my best to keep the basics accurate.

Feel free to do more research on DID, it's actually pretty interesting which is why I chose to incorporate it in this book. DissociaDID's old videos in Youtube are really helpful.
