I HAVENT EVEN TYPED IT, OR MADE A COVER. SO PLEASE

UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY WANT ME TO SUFFER AS IM BUSY WRITING LIKE FIVE BOOKS AT ONCE 🙃

anyways, yeah, Idk if all of you will like the book, but I hope some will. It's just a special occasion gift. I didn't think I'd ever write it tbh lol

Anyways, here's the one shot I FINALLY wrote after like 8 months of having the idea for it

(I'm not even kidding, I saw this interview where Yoongi said he was the student council president when he was in high school and he was really strict and he felt bad about it so he tried to make everyone's birthday special or smth AND I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF A YOONMIN AU)

also this is not so great so warning

::where yoongi is the student council president and wants to give jimin an extra special birthday::

"Ah, Namjoon– can you ask Seokjin hyung to have the cake ready tomorrow?" Yoongi asked, seeing Namjoon pass by the corridor outside the classroom.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow. "Whose birthday is it?"

Yoongi, a fond smile on his lips, said, "Jimin."

"Park Jimin? That cute dancer?" Namjoon asked for confirmation. Yoongi nodded, trying to hide his smile of adoration.

"Ooh~ Hyung~?" Namjoon teased, making Yoongi flush and look away in embarrassment. Laughing, Namjoon remarked, "I thought you were supposed to be super strict– turns out you're so soft."

"Shut up..." Yoongi muttered, organizing the balloons and such for the day after. They would follow out the celebration during lunch break, and he never had time in between classes, so he was preparing everything the day before in after-school hours.

Namjoon's laughter echoed in the hallways as he left, "I'll tell Jin hyung."

"Thanks..." Yoongi mumbled, stomach jittering with excitement as well as nervousness for the next day– the day perfection was born.

He couldn't wait to see the happy look on the special boy's face when he saw what Yoongi'd planned.

"Yoongi hyung! Should I distract Jimin as you set everything up?" Taehyung offered, tapping his fingers on Yoongi's desk.

Jimin's classmates and friends from his dance club were helping Yoongi set up everything, and Yoongi was telling them what to do and where things went.

With an appreciative smile, Yoongi nodded. "Five minutes max. Thanks, Tae."

Flashing a smile, Taehyung saluted and left in search for the fluffy birthday boy of the day to distract him and eventually lead him to the student council office.

"Jiminie~" he called, looking for the said boy. Then, he spotted the familiar behind and fluff of black hair.

"Jimin!" Jimin turned around to wave at Tae as he smiled.

"Taehyung! Have you seen the dance club members? They invited me for lunch today, and where have you been?"

"I've been looking for you, I want to take you somewhere. Let's go!" Taehyung declared, taking him along the long way to the student council office.

"Okay...?"

Taehyung just spun Jimin all around the hallways as five minutes passed, and they were finally approaching the student council room.

"Student council office? Did anyone get into trouble with Yoongi hyung?" Jimin asked, making Taehyung just giggle and lead him to the door, turning the handle. He stopped and let go, deciding to let Jimin enter himself.

"You go first, Jimin," Taehyung offered, which Jimin just furrowed his brows at.

Either way, he went ahead and turned the knob, pushing the door open.

The moment the door was fully ajar, he saw all of his friends looking at him with happy faces, holding balloons. "Happy birthday, Jimin!"

Jimin's lips parted in surprise, he couldn't process it for a second.

"This is all for me? Because it's my birthday today?" Jimin asked, bewildered as he looked around at the decorated room.

"Yeah!" everyone said, making Jimin finally break out into a grin. "Thank you all so much! This... this means so much to me."

"Jimin~ have some cake!" Jin brought forth the cake with Jimin's name written on it.

"Wow~ thank you so much," Jimin said, his eyes sparkly.

When he cut the cake, everyone cheered. When everyone'd gotten their pieces of cake, Jimin was talking with Hoseok.

"Who planned this, hyung? This is the best!" Jimin asked, finishing up his slice of delicious cake.

Hoseok, giggling, said, "None other than our student council president, Min Yoongi hyung~ You know, he's actually always given cupcakes and such for others too since he felt bad for being strict– but this is the first time he's done so much," Hoseok commented, whispering the second bit.

Jimin glanced at the president, who was seated at his desk, looking through some papers. Picking up another slice of cake, he approached the desk.

"Won't you have any cake?" Jimin asked, snapping Yoongi out of his working trance.

Yoongi smiled up at the soft fluffy boy, "It's okay. It's for you, anyway."

Pouting, Jimin picked up a piece and cutely held it out near Yoongi's mouth, "It's my birthday, you should at least do this much."

With an amused smile, Yoongi inched back, boring his eyes into Jimin's.

"And, if I said I already had some?" Yoongi asked. He actually hadn't even eaten all morning, and his stomach was on the verge of growling, but he didn't care at the moment.

"Then, have more– for me," Jimin said, pouting. "Please?"

Yoongi would've screamed if it didn't take effort and also if it didn't attracted unnecessary attention. The adorable way Jimin's eyes pleaded him was too much.

Swallowing his spit, Yoongi nodded slowly. "Okay."

Everything was worth it when he saw Jimin's face break into the most dazzling smile.

Yoongi slightly opened his mouth when Jimin inched the cake closer, letting Jimin feed him.

Their eyes never left each other's as Yoongi slowly chewed on the cake he'd bitten, almost flushing at the whole situation. He controlled himself– but he didn't know how he was even doing it.

"Hyung..." Jimin whispered, kneeling on the floor so that he'd be in more level with Yoongi's face as the latter was sitting down at his desk.

"Hm?" Yoongi replied, not being able to tear his gaze away from the beautiful boy.

"When's your birthday?" Jimin asked.

Yoongi tried to collect himself, forgetting even his name at the moment of Jimin's unbreakable stare. Then he realised Jimin asked a question.

"U-uh, what? My birthday? March 9th," he quickly answered, cheeks finally heating up. "Why?"

Jimin then offered Yoongi a grin. "I want to return the favour in your birthday– make it special like you did for me."

Yoongi blinked, his heart fluttering at Jimin's words. Then, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"What is it?" Jimin whined, pouting.

Yoongi leaned on his hand, elbows on the table, staring at Jimin with the most love in his eyes.

"Being honest, a day of mine becomes special the moment I lay my eyes on you, Jimin."

Then, Yoongi actually realized what he said and flushed deep red, averting his gaze. But, he didn't deny his words.

Jimin's jaw dropped slightly, a visible blush on his cheeks as well. "Yoongi hyung... hyung..." he whispered, finally getting the elder's eyes on him.

"Yoongi hyung," he said again.

"Jimin-ah," Yoongi replied, still flustered, but his voice was collected.

Jimin leaned forward on the desk, having only an inch between their noses. Their gazes didn't break except for occasional blinks.

"Hyung, can I..." Jimin started, voice in a mumble just loud enough for Yoongi.

"Can you...?" Yoongi repeated, his heart beating out of his chest.

"Can I take you out on a date today?" Yoongi's breath got caught in his throat hearing the words.

Not hearing a reply, Jimin looked at him more pleadingly, "Please? This can be a birthday present? Well, it'd be the best birthday present of my life, but–" he stopped, taking in a breath to wait for Yoongi's answer with hopeful look in his eyes.

Yoongi didn't know how to respond– he'd never expected this.

"... Really?" Yoongi finally mustered up his voice to ask.

"Really." Jimin still had that hopeful gleam in his eyes.

"Jimin," Yoongi started, dropping his gaze with a sigh.

Jimin, thinking it was a sign of rejection, looked away in disappointment and sadness. "It's okay, hyung. I understand. I'll never speak of this ever again–"

Yoongi, with an expression of horror, exclaimed, "No! No, no... that's not it. Let me finish."

Jimin, with a pout (that Yoongi wanted to kiss so badly), nodded, eyes holding a flicker of sadness.

"Jimin," Yoongi started, heart pounding against his ribcage, "I– do you have any idea?"

Jimin blinked. "Of what?"

"Of how long I've liked you."

The sentence left unprocessed in Jimin's head for a few seconds. When he finally realised what Yoongi had just said, he stammered, flabbergasted.

"H-how long?"

Yoongi hummed, thinking. "How long has it been since you joined the dance club?"

Jimin's eyes widened. "That long?"

Yoongi nodded, smiling, still extremely flustered. He couldn't believe he was revealing his crush to his crush.

"Hyung– I've–" Jimin took a breath, looking at Yoongi with a gleam in his eyes, cheeks dusted pink.

"I've liked you for longer," he muttered. Yoongi couldn't think for a second.

"What?" Yoongi asked, swallowing his dry spit.

"I've liked you since the time you really coolly fixed everything on our field trip– you were so calm and collected."

"You mean the day you transferred to the school? That was so long ago–" Yoongi said, awe in his voice.

Jimin nodded, cheeks tinted pink as he grinned at Yoongi.

"So, about that date?"

Yoongi laughed, lovingly patting his hand on Jimin's cheek.

"You know that I'd say yes to anything you say, right?"
